REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
CHAPTER 13 & 14
TESIERA RINDERSON
Tesiera wiped the sweat from her forehead as she stepped out of the training room. She let out a deep breath as she looked at the clock, feeling relieved that the time had passed so quickly. That’s what she loved about training in the room—she could lose track of time.
The sound of the ticking clock was loud in the silence of her apartment. She enjoyed her solitary lifestyle, but her peace was interrupted by the sound of her phone ringing. She frowned when she saw that the caller was Rex. Reluctantly, she answered the phone but didn’t say anything.
“Tesiera, come out tonight and let’s have some fun,” Rex said excitedly. “I heard about a new gambling den that just opened up, and I want to check it out. You can be my lucky charm.”
She waited for him to continue, but he didn’t.
“Is that why you called me?” she asked flatly.
“Come on, Tesiera. You can’t spend a Friday night at home. I know you prefer your own company to the world, but let’s go gambling and have some fun,” Rex pleaded. “Don’t you ever get tired of being alone?”
“No, I don’t,” she deadpanned.
Rex sighed. “At least, let’s get some fresh air. I heard about another successful mission of yours yesterday. Let’s go out, drink, gamble, and celebrate. What do you think?”
“I don’t celebrate my missions, Rex. You go ahead and do what you like. I have a lot of work to do,” she said.
“It’s Friday night, work can wait. Besides, you have nothing else to do. You have no social life, and you know it. Staying alone is not the same as having human interaction. You need to socialize and have some fun,” Rex insisted.
Tesiera admitted that he was right, and that fresh air would be nice. “Fine, I’ll go, but only for a short while. I have an early training session tomorrow,” she said.
“Great! I’ll pick you up in an hour!” Rex said excitedly.
Tesiera hung up the phone and let out a deep sigh. She went upstairs to freshen up and took a long, hot shower to wash away the sweat and grime of her training session. She styled her hair in a sleek bun and put on a pair of black leather pants, a black turtleneck sweater, and a pair of black combat boots.
REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
An hour later, there was a knock at her door. She opened it to find Rex holding a bouquet of flowers.
“These are for you,” he said with a smile. “You look lovely.”
Tesiera took the flowers, her expression unchanged. “Thank you,” she said in her monotone voice.
Rex watched her as she put the flowers in the vase beside the window. He admired her beauty and the curves hidden inside her leather pants. God, she was beautiful.
“Let’s go,” she said, leading the way out of the apartment, with Rex following behind.
REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
During the drive to the gambling den, Rex tried to make small talk with Tesiera, but she was distant as always. Talking to her was like pulling teeth, but Rex tried anyway.
“What have you been up to lately?” he asked.
“Nothing much,” she replied, her eyes fixed on the passing scenery outside the car window.
“They are talking about how quickly you delivered information about Cyprus’ daughter. It’s been eight years, but you’ve never failed a mission. Wow,” Rex said, pride evident in his voice.
Tesiera stiffened. Her mind wandered to her first failed mission, but she quickly relaxed again. Well, that mission will not be ‘failed’ for long.
“I assume you still love working solo? You know the bosses of the underworld would do anything for you to work for them?” Rex asked.
Tesiera said nothing. She’s not interested in working for anybody. She loves working alone. A freelancer. Solo.
“I’m trying to make small talk here, Tesiera. Can you at least try to engage?” Rex said.
“I’m not in the mood,” Tesiera said curtly.
Rex sighed and gave up trying to converse with Tesiera. With her, it never worked. He decided to enjoy the drive and the peaceful silence that surrounded them.
They arrived at the gambling den, a dimly lit and smoke-filled room filled with the sounds of chips clinking and cards shuffling. Tesiera followed Rex to a table where a group of men were gathered, playing cards.
Rex took a seat and started playing against his opponent. Tesiera watched from the sidelines, observing the men’s card playing and betting strategies.
However, Rex’s opponent started winning hand after hand, and after the second loss, Rex stepped away from the table, defeated.
“Let me try,” Tesiera said, stepping forward.
“Are you sure? These guys are good,” Rex said skeptically.
“I can handle it,” Tesiera replied, her voice firm and confident.
She took Rex’s seat, and the men at the table eyed her warily, clearly not used to playing against a woman. “There are other games for ladies out here. You’ll end up losing all your money, lady,” one of the men said, clearly amused.
However, Tesiera was unfazed. She placed her own bet.
“All right then, but don’t say you weren’t warned. Guys, let’s begin!” The man shouted and his men surrounding him cheered.
The game was intense, with the stakes rising with each hand. Tesiera was a skilled fighter and a quick thinker, and she put these skills to use as she played her cards. She was a master at reading her opponents, and she used this to her advantage. With each turn, she increased her bets, and before long, she was the one winning.
The men at the table were in disbelief that this cold, stoic woman was beating them at their own game. But Tesiera didn’t let their reactions affect her. She was focused on the cards, the bets, and winning.
And in the end, she did just that. She won the hand and the pot, taking the men’s chips and all their money, leaving them stunned.
Tesiera stood up from the table, and Rex looked at her in amazement. “How did you…?” he asked.
She shrugged, “I told you I could handle it.”
“Wow! Let’s make more money! I’m so glad I brought you with me. There’s another table at the other end, let’s go and play with them.” Rex was excited and it showed.
Just then, a group of men approached them. It looked like they were a gang and the leader of the gang had a sneer on his face, his eyes focused on Rex.
“Well, look who it is,” The leader sneered. “The washed-up former member of our gang.”
Anger flashed in Rex’s eyes. “Go away, Patterson. I don’t have time for this.”
“Of course, you don’t have time for this, you pussy. You run away from the gang like a kicked puppy because you could not complete the mission that was given to you. you will always be a failure, Rex. Always.” The leader jeered and the others laughed.
Tesiera does not have time for this and that man’s voice was actually giving her a headache. He has a very annoying voice. She stepped in front of Rex and placed her hands on her hips. “Do this next time on your own time. I do not have time for this.”
“Oh… Fiesty. I like her.” Patterson said. To Rex, he directed, “Who is the bitch, Rex? So now you hide behind fucking pussy, huh?”
Tesiera simply punched him hard on the nose.
The action so unexpected, floored Patterson. Gasp from his men filled the air as they saw blood come out of his nose.
“The bitch broke my nose!” Patterson raged, and he and his men advanced for Tesiera.
She moved with lightning speed, her fists and feet connecting with two of them in a blur of motion. The fight broke out.
Tesiera moved with fluid grace, swinging a massive fist at the next man that lunged himself at her. To the next one who tried to sneak up behind her, But she was too quick for him, dodging easily and delivering a sharp blow to his stomach. He doubled over, winded, and she spun around to face the next attacker.
Two more men rushed at her at once, but she was ready. She blocked their punches with ease and delivered a flurry of quick jabs, sending both men tumbling to the ground.
Another one tried to sneak up behind her, but she pivoted on her heel, driving a powerful kick into his chest that sent him flying across the room.
The final one, the largest and most fearsome of them all, approached her with a menacing growl. But Tesiera casually waited for him, her eyes steady and her stance confident. She dodged his first few blows, then delivered a lightning-fast combination of punches that left him reeling.
Then, she finished him off with a well-placed roundhouse kick that sent him crashing to the ground. Patterson, the leader’s eyes was wide open in shock and fear.
“This is not over,” he growled to Tesiera before he turned and left the gambling den, his pride hurt. Everyone witnessed his shameful disgrace.
Rex’s opponent dropped on the floor with a thud and he looked at Tesiera in amazement. A newfound respect for her filled in his eyes. She’d finished off five men while he was still fighting just one of them..
Just then, her phone rang in her pocket. She pulled it out and stared at the caller ID. It was Big Cat. She placed the call to her ear.
“Tesiera, I need you to come to an underground club,” Big Cat said, rattling off the address. “It’s urgent.”
Tesiera listened, trying to decipher any hint of urgency in Big Cat’s voice. She had known him long enough to know that his requests were not to be taken lightly. “What’s going on?”
“It’s about Kracusian Kingston.”
“I’m on my way.” She ended the call and pocketed her phone.

REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
“Try to get some rest,” Nurse Pattie said to the doctor. “I know you work too much, but try not to overdo it. Fortunately, the hospital is relieving you of your duties for a week. That’s enough time to give your feet a break.”
Nurse Pattie continued, “I’ll give you your painkillers, doc. You make it seem like getting stabbed in three different places is a walk in the park, but I know those legs must be hurting like hell.”
Kracus replied with a kind smile, “I’ll be fine, Nurse. Stop worrying so much.”
Nurse Pattie still looked concerned. “I still can’t believe someone would stab someone in a fighting ring. I thought weapons were prohibited?”
Clinton answered, “They are, but this person had a grudge against the Kingston family. He disguised himself as a fighter and snuck into the arena. By the time we realized what was happening, it was too late.” Lies with a bit of truth are always the best way to keep things private, he thought.
Nurse Pattie shook her head, clearly upset. “I’m just glad you and Bose were there to put pressure on the wounds and prevent him from bleeding out before help arrived. If he had bled out…”
Kracus interjected, “Hello? I’m still here,” as he waved at them from the bed. “Stop worrying, Pattie. I’m a doctor too, remember?”
The nurse muttered under her breath as the door opened and Bose entered with a wheelchair. “Everything’s been cleared now. It’s okay to go home, boss.”
Kracus sighed in relief and said, “Thank God. I thought I was going crazy.” To get discharged had taken more time than he’d expected, it’s night already.
Clinton helped the doctor get into the wheelchair and Bose began wheeling him out of the room. Nurse Pattie was saying, “Don’t forget to come in for your routine check-up…” before the door closed in front of her. The doctor chuckled and shook his head.
Bose commented, “That pretty nurse has a huge crush on you, boss.”
Clinton added, “I don’t think it’s a crush. I think she’s in love with him.”
The doctor explained, “Nurse Pattie is kind to everyone, both patients and doctors.”
His two bodyguards snorted in disbelief. Bose suggested, “You’ve not had sex in months, sir. I say, you ask her out. I’m sure she wouldn’t hesitate to say yes.”
The doctor replied, “I don’t want to get involved with the nurses that way. It’s unethical.” The main reason for his reluctance was not because he doesn’t see Nurse Pattie in that way, but because he has been so busy with work that he hasn’t felt any attraction to any woman in months.
Maybe he did need to have sex.
When he got home, his dog was overjoyed to see him. The pit bull barked excitedly and jumped on him with happy licks.
Bose helped Kracus sit down on the couch, and the doctor petted his dog. “Buddy, how are you doing? I know you missed me, I’ve missed you too.”
His dog’s attention quickly shifted and he ran to his dog room. The doctor signaled to Bose, who handed him his crutches. He was familiar with crutches from his many trips to the hospital when he was young, and he quickly learned how to use them.
“Let’s go to the information room,” said Kracus.
They followed him closely, opening doors and helping him down the stairs. Despite this, Kracus moved with ease, as if he had an extra pair of functioning legs.
The information room looked like a conference room, with a large table in the center, chairs around it, a sideboard for refreshments, a bookshelf, and several artworks hanging on the walls. A vase of flowers sat on the cabinet and there was a projector and whiteboard beside it.
Kracus took his seat at the head of the table, while Clinton sat next to him. Bose walked over to the projector and quickly set up the file and disk he had prepared.
REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
A few moments later, a 30-second video clip began playing. It showed a woman in a black leather outfit, fighting a heavily-muscled man in a parking lot in broad daylight. Kracus couldn’t deny that the woman was gorgeous, but her face was expressionless and as hard as granite. His body reacted to her, and he cursed under his breath.
Clinton immediately asked, “Are you alright, boss? Is your leg hurting? Should I get the painkillers?”
“I’m good,” replied Kracus. It wasn’t the wounds that were bothering him, it was the woman who had inflicted them.
Clinton appeared unconvinced, but he sat back down and Kracus gestured for Bose to start.
“Her name is Tesiera Rinderson, also known as The Torturer. Her mother died of lung cancer when she was six and she lost her father two years later. She spent two years in different foster homes before a Mafia Lord named Big Cat took her in and raised her. However, our sources show that Big Cat is also her uncle,” Bose reported.
“The Torturer… Why the hell does that name sound so familiar?” Clinton pondered on that for a moment and exclaimed, “Holy Shit.”
Kracus and Bose looked in his direction. “What’s the matter, do you know her?” Bose asked.
Clinton cleared his throat and shifted uncomfortably, “Naruto Nakamura, the Japanese mob boss I served for five years, was involved in shady stuff and he mentioned ‘The Torturer’ and ‘Big Cat’ a number of times. Nothing scared Boss Nakamura, but he would always get a look of stark fear in his eyes when he mentioned both names.”
“Interesting. So our attacker is The Torturer.” said Kracus, rubbing his jaw thoughtfully. “To have a name like that, I take it she knows a thing or two about torturing people?”
“A thing or two?” echoed Clinton and Bose in unison. Bose continued, “The woman is a torture machine. She knows ways to torture her victims that haven’t been invented. Most of the weapons she uses are almost unheard of. Mob bosses that have no fear of the cops tremble at her name. She’s a sadist. A psychopath.”
REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 11 – 20
Kracus remembered the way the woman was the night she attacked him and had no trouble agreeing with his bodyguard. “What else do you have on her?” he asked.
“Not much, just information about some of her missions. Detailed information. The woman is a maniac. According to our intel, she has never failed a mission before,” Bose reported.
“That makes me her first failed mission?” asked Kracus.
“Yes, boss,” replied Bose.
“Mmh,” Kracus angled his head in thought. “Which means she’ll be back to finish what she started.”
Clinton clenched his fists. “She can try, but she’ll never succeed,” he declared.
“I’ve already informed the Chief of Security to increase security around the mansion. He’ll come over to see you soon, sir. Now that we know what to expect, we’ll make it impossible for her to succeed. If she ever shows her face again, we’ll eliminate her,” Bose said matter-of-factly. “She’s a threat that needs to be dealt with.”
Kracus didn’t respond, as Bose was not incorrect. The woman was dangerous and wanted him dead. “Why does she want me dead? Have you found anything that could indicate a past encounter or a grudge? Anything at all that could shed light on why she wants me dead?”
“No, sir, I haven’t,” Bose replied. Then he paused, “But I did find a link of sorts. Although I’m not sure if it’s relevant to this case, it might just be a coincidence.”
“We can’t ignore anything, no matter how small. Tell us what else you’ve found,” Kracus ordered.
“On it, sir,” Bose said as he pressed some buttons on the remote control. A new screen appeared. “Big Cat. His real name is Demyan Nikolai Solokov. He’s Russian but grew up in America and changed his first name from Demyan to Demian. The Mafia godfather seems to be going legitimate. In recent years, powerful Mafia bosses have been investing in legal businesses. They’ve invested in a lot of successful companies in all the leading industries of the world, such as oil, paint, weapons, agriculture, manufacturing, etc.”
“Okay. But what does that have to do with anything?” Clinton asked, confused.
Bose nodded, “Two months ago, Demyan Nikolai Solokov met with the Homers Group.” An image of two older men shaking hands appeared on the screen. Kracus recognized one of them as Walters, while the other was a stranger with a large stature, gray hair in a bun, and a face that looked larger than life.
Kracus sat up straight at the sight. “Walter?” Carter Walter, the CEO of the Homers Group, saw the Kingston family as his worst enemy.
“Yes, boss. It could be one of these two. Maybe Mr. Solokov wants to invest in hotels and resorts and chose the Homers Group for it, and has nothing to do with your attack. Or, he and his niece, The Torturer, may have taken a contract from Walter to kill you.”
This thought got Kracus thinking. Could the Mafia Lord be involved in this? Did Walter orchestrate it? Did Carter Walter hire Tesiera Rinderson to kill him?
