REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 111 – 120

CHAPTER 118 – 120.

THE COMING OF THE BLACK DAWN.

Tesiera lay in her bed, trying to find comfort in sleep’s embrace, but it remained elusive. Her wounded leg throbbed with pain, and Vera’s words echoed in her mind.

As hours passed, she gave in to her restlessness. She carefully got out of bed, leaning on her trusty cane, and made her way through the dimly lit corridors to Kracus’s bedroom.

The room was shrouded in darkness, concealing Kracus. At first, she couldn’t make out his form, but as her eyes adjusted, she saw him standing by the window, holding a glass of wine, lost in thought.

Breaking the silence, Tesiera spoke softly, her words tinged with curiosity. “Couldn’t sleep, doc?” It was the same question he had asked her countless times over the past few nights.

Kracus turned his head slowly, meeting her eyes in the dimness. He responded with a slight shake of his head. “You?”

She could have mentioned the throbbing pain in her leg, but instead, she shook her head and replied, “No.”

“Give yourself a chance to rest, Siera,” he murmured, casting a sympathetic smile her way. His gaze lingered on her injured leg. “How’s the pain?”

“Manageable,” she whispered, barely audible.

Tesiera moved closer to him, her steps deliberate. Her heart raced as she approached, and when she reached him, she hesitated for a moment before wrapping her arms around him in a gentle but firm hug.

Kracus was taken aback by her gesture. It was the first time she had approached him like this. He returned the embrace, pulling her closer and inhaling her familiar scent.

“You look like you need it,” she whispered, her eyes closed as she pressed herself against him. Her emotions were unfamiliar, but in this moment, she craved this connection as much as he did, if not more.

“I do,” Kracus admitted, his lips brushing against her neck.

“What’s on your mind, doc?” Tesiera might not have been skilled at reading people, but with him, she was learning to discern his moods, body language, and unspoken turmoil. She sensed that something troubled him.

Reluctantly, she pulled back and carefully studied his handsome face. “Why are you awake when you should be sleeping?”

Kracus snorted softly. “You need sleep more than I do. It’s nothing, Siera. Just go to bed.”

Ignoring his dismissal, Tesiera turned him to face the window again and wrapped her arms around him from behind, resting her cheek against his back. “You underestimate my stubbornness and overestimate my ability to sleep, doc. I’m not sleepy, and I didn’t bring my pills. The only way I could fall asleep now is with your arms around me in that bed,” she said bluntly, pointing at the king-sized bed that dominated half of the room. “So, what’s it going to be? Shall we retire together, or stand here like this while you share what’s troubling that brilliant mind of yours?”

Kracus couldn’t help but chuckle at Tesiera’s straightforwardness. She had a way of brightening his mood even when he felt down. “Come on, let’s go lie down.”

He led her to the bed, and they nestled under the covers. Tesiera instinctively found herself in the safety of his arms, sighing contentedly as he pulled her closer.

“Seeing my mom so happy today brought back memories, I guess,” Kracus began, his voice tinged with nostalgia. “She was almost like her old self. I was genuinely happy to see her that way.”

Tesiera turned to face him, their faces so close that their eyes nearly crossed as they gazed into each other’s souls. “Your mother is a strong woman, Kracus.”

A warm smile graced Kracus’s lips. “Yes, she is. After what happened, I thought I’d never get her back. I’m grateful to see that I was wrong.”

“She won,” Tesiera echoed Vera’s words, giving voice to the truth.

“She did,” Kracus agreed.

There was a brief pause, before Tesiera spoke again, “Your mom and Bose are very close.”

Kracus nodded, his expression softening. “After Cullian’s attack on her, I was struggling not to lose my sanity, so I wasn’t there most of the time. Bose took great care of her. He may come off as grumpy, but he’s incredibly caring and observant.”

“He is,” Tesiera remembered their conversation in the conference room, a hint of fondness in her voice. “He’s a good man beneath all that gruff exterior.”

Kracus’s lips twitched with amusement. He never imagined hearing Tesiera say something positive about Bose, given their past clashes. Yet, he was relieved to see that they had found a way to get along in their own unique way.

“I never had a mother growing up,” Tesiera’s gaze wandered into the past, her eyes reflecting memories. “My mom passed away a year before my dad, from cancer. But I still hold vivid memories of her. My dad adored her.”

Kracus listened attentively, allowing her to share her memories.

“We didn’t have much money, but I was a happy child. I distinctly remember that happiness, the fulfillment, the satisfaction I felt. I never knew couples fought. I never knew about disagreements, hatred, death, bloodshed, or killing. Because my mom and dad never had those things. When my mom got sick, I knew because my dad’s smile dimmed, and money became tighter. But they shielded it from me as best as they could. Mom…” Tesiera’s voice quivered, and she fell into a long, thoughtful pause.

Kracus reached for her hand, feeling its softness and the calluses that spoke of a life filled with weapons and bloodshed. He brought her hand to his lips, pressing a gentle kiss upon it.

Tesiera’s voice carried a deep well of emotion as she continued, “Mom, she made so many videos of herself, talking to me. My dad told me she recorded these remembrance videos for me throughout her illness.”

“Did you ever get to watch any of those videos?” he asked softly.

Tesiera shook her head, “No, I lost them. After my dad passed away, the house was taken away, and I entered the foster system. I never got the chance to see those videos until today.” Her face remaining passive, her eyes clear as day. But Kracus, who knew her better than anyone, could sense the pain beneath the surface.

She was hurting, even if she was trying not to let it show. “I’m sorry to hear that,” Kracus said with genuine empathy.

.Tesiera’s eyes held a mix of longing and vulnerability as she continued to speak, her voice raw with emotion. “Thanks,” she replied with a soft, appreciative tone. The haze of memory cleared from her eyes. “I just wish I got to see even one of those videos. I wanted to know what she looked like, what she said. Did she love me as much as my childhood memories indicated, or were those memories tricky because it’s been so long? I wanted to know all that. I wanted to hear her voice.”

Maybe if I knew that… Maybe, if I saw those videos, I could believe that I can be loved. That someone, apart from my dad, loved me so damn much before. That I’m capable of being loved, even if I’m a cold-blooded killer. She thought inwardly, gazing into Kracus’s eyes.

“I’m sure your memories weren’t tricky, sweetie,” Kracus assured her gently, a warm smile gracing his lips. “To make all those videos, your mom must have loved you immensely. I mean, what’s not to love?” He chuckled softly. “You’re a special woman.”

Tesiera looked at him carefully, her belly fluttering. He was the only person who had ever made her feel like something other than the killer she was.

She had never cared whether her mission involved innocent people or criminals; she completed them without remorse. She would subject them to torture until their final breath, experiencing an eerie sense of emptiness or indifference throughout the process.

Her handlers assigned missions that targeted the most despicable of men, but the truth remained that she had never truly cared either way. If it weren’t for her handler, she would have taken missions even if her target wasn’t a criminal. What did that make her?

The monster they label you. The beast you know you are.

Kracus is a man who has devoted his entire life to saving lives, while she has devoted hers to taking, in the most ruthless, graphic way anyone could ever imagine. He deserves far better.

Kracus’s fingers brushed her furrowed brows, easing the tension there, and he gently brought her back from her thoughts. “What are you thinking about?”

That I’m a murderer and you’re a doctor, and I don’t deserve you. She didn’t say that though, instead, “I want us to fuck.”

Kracus’s jaw dropped, his eyes widening in shock and disbelief for a few moments. “That came out of nowhere,” he remarked.

She shrugged, “I want you to fuck me, doc,” Tesiera emphasized, her gaze locked on his. “That’s what I’m thinking about now.”

“That wasn’t what you were thinking earlier,” Kracus managed to say when he found his voice. Damn, his body was definitely onboard with that.

Tesiera met his gaze unflinchingly. “Not then, but it’s certainly what I’m thinking now.” She moved closer, wincing slightly as her wounded thighs protested the movement, and pressed their groins together. “Your body is thinking about it too,” she added, feeling his erection against her.

Kracus had always wanted to fuck her, he’d imagined a thousand and one ways he could take her in every part of his house. But he never expected her to make the offer anytime soon.

“What changed?” he asked, his voice filled with desire.

Tesiera considered his question for a moment, her eyes locked onto his. “Since that very first time you touched me, I’ve been thinking about it,” she admitted in a low, intimate tone. “I’ve never wanted any man to touch me like that, but with you… I want this. That night when Raymond got me into that state, I knew he was going to rape me before he killed me, and all I could think about was how much I wished it were you instead.”

Kracus’s gaze hardened at the memory, but he chose to remain silent. The recollection of what Raymond did to her filled him with anger.

“I regret not giving in to you that very first morning, in your bed. I regret not knowing what it would feel like to have you inside me. Now that bastard was going to violate me again, just like my foster father did.” she continued. “It infuriated and saddened me.”

Kracus tightened his grip on her hand. “I’m glad we took that monster out before he could do anything,” he said, his voice filled with frustration. “I’m just angry I didn’t do it myself.”

“I’m equally furious about that, doc,” Tesiera replied, her lips twitching, her eyes murderous. “I would have relished bathing in his blood. But there’s still Jaden Newman. I’ll make him suffer, slowly and painfully, for my dad and Miselle.”

She had shared some details about her friend who had gone undercover with Newman and been tortured and murdered by him. Kracus finally understood why she found it difficult to speak about the gang leader. Jaden Newman hadn’t just taken her father’s life; he had brutally attacked and killed her only friend.

“But, right now, I’m not thinking about them,” Tesiera declared, her hand cupping his clothed erection. She hummed in satisfaction as it stiffened beneath her touch. “This is what I want now. I want this, and I want you.”

With that, she rolled them over to lay on top of him. The sudden movement caused her injuries to flare with pain, and she hissed. She had forgotten about her injuries.

Gently, Kracus disentangled her from him and placed her beside him on the bed in their previous position. “I want this too, and I want you, babe,” he admitted. “But not while you’re injured and in pain. Your wounds need to heal first.”

She raised an eyebrow. “My wounds are perfectly fine, doc. Give me your cock.”

Fuck, the woman knows how to say the right things. Kracus struggled to resist her tempting offer. “As your doctor, I don’t recommend such activities until—”

“Oh, hell no,” she protested firmly, her voice low. “Right now, I want the man, not the doctor.”

Then, she kissed him.

Their lips met in a gentle, lingering kiss—a silent promise of what was to come. The softness of her touch sent shivers down Kracus’s spine, and he couldn’t help but groan. He had missed her kisses, the taste of her. Their bodies, lying side by side on the bed, melded into one another as their mouths danced together.

For a fleeting moment, nothing else existed except for the warmth of their intertwined bodies and the passionate connection of their lips. Tesiera’s tongue delved deep into his mouth, and Kracus responded eagerly. Her fingers traced the contours of his face, and he cupped her cheek, pulling her closer. Their breaths mingled, and she let out a breathy moan.

What seemed like an eternity later, she pulled back, her eyes half-closed as she gave him a seductive look. “So, doc,” she purred, gesturing to her body, “are you up for getting a piece of this tonight?”

“Oh, I’m definitely up for that,” he assured her.

Tesiera grinned, tasting the victory within reach.

“But I’m not fucking you tonight, Siera. We’ll take it slow and make sure you’re completely comfortable.” Kracus finished.

Her smile faded as quickly as it began. She sighed with regret. “Between the two of us, I think you have more knowledge about torture than you’ve let on, doc.”

He flashed that captivating smile that never failed to enchant Tesiera. She loved watching him smile, even though it stirred sensations in her lower belly.

Her thoughts were abruptly interrupted when he deftly slid his hand between her legs, gently cupping her buttocks. With a swift and graceful movement, he lifted her so that she lay flat on top of his body. Her nightgown had ridden up to her waist, revealing her panties, but the dim bedroom light cast them in shadow.

“Don’t worry,” Kracus assured her, their faces just inches apart. “I’m going to make you feel so good that you’ll be so satisfied, it would put you to sleep.” He cradled her jaw, tilting her face upward before passionately capturing her mouth.

Tesiera felt a warm rush throughout her body as he consumed her with his kiss. She closed her eyes and surrendered to him completely.

REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 111 – 120

Jaden Newman’s penthouse suite lay in an eerie silence, broken only by the distant hum of the city below. He stood by the vast window, gazing out at the twinkling lights.

Damn, he despised the United States. He had no intention of returning to this forsaken country. His sole desire was to quickly conclude his business here and return to Mexico.

The door opened and his second-in-command, a loyal and ruthless man named Marco, entered the room. Marco had served Jaden for years and knew that Jaden didn’t take kindly to bad news. Marco hated delivering it just as much.

“Jaden,” Marco began cautiously, “I’ve got some bad news.”

Jaden turned his head, his expression tense. “What is it?”

Marco cleared his throat, searching for the right words, though none truly existed for such news. “Raymond James is dead.”

Jaden’s reaction was swift and explosive. He spun around to face Marco, his eyes blazing with a fiery rage that could melt steel. “What did you just say?” he hissed, his voice dripping with venom.

Marco repeated the news, recognizing the need to be direct. “Raymond James is dead, boss. The Torturer got him.”

Jaden’s face contorted with fury, his fists clenched so tightly that his knuckles turned white. “That treacherous bitch,” he spat. “She has no idea what she’s brought upon herself. I’ll make sure she pays dearly for this.”

“What should we do, boss?” Marco saw the brewing storm in his boss’s eyes.

“I won’t wait for her to come for me. Instead, I’ll go after her. I’ll hunt her down like the vermin she is. And when I’m through with her, her girlfriend’s corpse will look like child’s play compared to hers,” Jaden vowed, his voice chilling.

Marco had waited years for this day. He yearned to capture that unfeeling bitch of the criminal underworld who had been a constant thorn in their side. “Should we pursue her? Eliminate her? Capture her?”

Jaden shook his head, “No, even better. I’ll begin by taking someone she cares about.”

“The Torturer doesn’t love anyone, remember?” Marco asserted. “The woman didn’t react when she discovered her girlfriend’s lifeless body that we left for her to find. I doubt it even made her flinch.”

A heavy silence hung in the room after Marco’s statement.

“What about her adoptive father?” Jaden finally broke the silence, his voice laced with a cunning edge.

Marco’s brow furrowed in thought. “The Mafia Godfather? You really wanna tangle with the Mafia?” he questioned, concern etched across his face.

Jaden leaned back against the window glass, his features darkening as he considered Marco’s warning. “You have a point,” he conceded, his tone more measured. “Tangling with the Mafia is like playing with fire. It’s a bad idea, indeed.”

As Jaden allowed the seething rage to subside slowly, a wicked smile crept across his lips. It’s a smile that Marco both feared and secretly admired.

“It’s been five years since we last dug into her life,” Jaden mused aloud, his gaze focused on some distant memory. “I eliminated her girlfriend back then, and I enjoyed it. Now, I know it’s wistful thinking to expect that unfeeling bitch would love someone, but there’s got to be someone else out there she holds dear. Someone in her life whose death would hurt her immensely.”

“If we could find such a person, that’ll be so good.” Marco agreed, a thrill of excitement running through him.

“Oh yes, it’ll be. The best way to cripple your enemy and make them an easy target is to take out people close to them. Two decade ago, my gang took her father from her, igniting that burning rage and darkness within her, compelling her to spend most of her life hunting us. Now, I want to shatter her spirit. I want to cripple her soul.” Jaden watched those stars above simmering so beautifully, “And to do that, we need to find and kill someone she cares about deeply.”

Marco nodded, his determination evident. “I’ll start the investigation right away.”
