REVENGE WITH LOVE : CHAPTER 51 – 60
CHAPTER 59 & 60.
THE BARBIE AND THE PRINCESS
“About what you said last night…” Kracus started to say before he was interrupted by a knock at the door. The familiar voice of Yates, his security personnel, came through, “Sir, there’s someone out here looking for you.”
Kracus frowned, annoyed at the interruption, “That person can wait, I don’t want to be disturbed—“
Before he could finish, a high-pitched voice interrupted him, “Honey, where are you!? I’m back in town and I miss you so much baby!”
Kracus froze. He knew that voice all too well. It was Kamira Anderson, a twenty-seven-year-old supermodel with an unbearable attitude. He had dated her in the past, but their relationship had ended badly, and he had no interest in seeing her again.
Tesiera stepped back and blinked as if to clear an unfamiliar, annoying fog. When she looked up at him, it was her usual blank expression.
“I’ll take my leave now,” she said politely, inclined her head.
“Get our stuff ready, I’m already late for work.” He glanced at his watch, “We have to leave soon.”
Tesiera tilted her head in thought, but then she nodded again before walking out.
Kamira burst into the room, grinning widely like a Cheshire Cat, throwing herself at Kracus in a hug.
Kracus caught her arms mid–air before they touched him and he put them aside, “Hi, Mira. What are you doing here?”
Her grin downturned into a sad pout, “Are you not happy to see me, honey?”
The truth was that he wasn’t happy to see her. At all. Her presence was annoying, and he wished she would just go away. But he knew that the woman would cry a river if he told her that.
He wondered why he hadn’t been able to see how annoying she was during the early stage of their relationship. Maybe he would have saved himself the trouble of putting up with her crazy self towards the latter part of it.
She was unrelenting, and her hands were around Kracus’ shoulders again. She blinked repeatedly, batting her eyelashes in flirtation, “Hm baby? Don’t you miss me, I know you did.” She giggled at her own words.
“I didn’t. To answer your question; No, I’m not happy to see you. You’re ruining a perfectly good day, Mira.” He informed her reluctantly, shrugging her arms away and moving ahead of her.
She hurried to catch up with him and bumped into Tesiera who’d just returned with his suitcase. Tesiera stepped back and acknowledged the woman with a polite bow.
“Who is this…” Mira ran accusatory, judging eyes all over Tesiera, “…woman?”
“That is none of your business.” Kracus responded to her with an arch of his brow. To Tesiera, he collected his suitcase and said, “Thank you. Are Bose and Clinton ready to leave?”
Tesiera gave a curt nod, completely ignoring the woman.
Mira stepped closer and held Kracus’ shoulder, “No babe, don’t be like that. I just got here, you can’t just leave!” she whined.
Kracus turned to face her, irritation written all over his face. “Maybe you should have thought of that before you stepped foot into his house. I told you not to come here again, didn’t I?” he replied curtly.
“I know, I know. Okay, I’m sorry babe, huh?” Mira wrapped her arms around his waist from behind, “But I’m here now, aren’t I?” Her voice took on a pleading tone, hoping to pacify him.
Tesiera watched the scene unfold before her, taking in every detail. She couldn’t help but wonder who this Mira woman was to Kracus. An ex-lover, perhaps? The way she clung to him, all touchy-feely, spoke volumes about their past relationship. Kracus seemed to barely tolerate her presence, as if she was a fly but he simply didn’t have the strength to squash her.
“Boss?” Yates, the security guard, interrupted Kracus’ thoughts.
“What is it?”
“Bose said he needed a few more minutes in the surveillance room, but he’ll be out as fast as he could,” Yates informed him.
“Alright. Tell him I’m waiting,” Kracus replied, dismissing the guard with a wave of his hand.
“While you’re waiting, your favorite girl will give you a massage. I know you overwork yourself, Kracus.” Mira drawled seductively, getting behind him after he’d settled down on the couch.
“You don’t give good massages, Mira,” Kracus said flatly.
She ignored his comment and began rubbing his shoulders, “I’ve improved, I’ll make you feel so good, baby.”
“Yeah, that’s enough. Leave me alone, Mira,” Kracus ordered, turning around to face her.
Mira folded her arms and pouted, “You’re being harsh on me, babe. That’s not fair. What happened was all in the past. I wanted to surprise you, and I also came so that we can-” Mira’s words trailed off as she noticed Tesiera standing nearby.
“Why is she just standing there anyway?” Mira glared at Tesiera, her eyes dark with anger. “What is she?” Her tone turned venomous, “Is she your new whore?”
Kracus’ calm demeanor vanished in an instant. “You don’t speak about her that way. Do you hear me?” he warned, his voice low and dangerous.
Mira knew that look, and seemed to realize she’d gone too far, “I’m sorry, babe, so sorry. I didn’t mean it,” she said contritely, turning to Tesiera with a forced smile. “Apologies.”
Tesiera simply ignored her and pulled out a stick of gum from her pocket, unwrapping it and popping it in her mouth. She chewed slowly, her eyes never leaving Mira’s face.
Mira hated being ignored and shot a deadly glare at Tesiera, but refrained from cursing at her. She couldn’t afford to make Kracus angrier than he already was.
It grated on her nerves that the whore was so beautiful, and she couldn’t help feeling jealous. As a supermodel, she was used to being the center of attention, but with this whore around, she felt like she was fading into the background.
“Can’t she get out and…I don’t know, go stand guard somewhere else? We need some privacy,” Mira suggested with a fake smile.
“No, you don’t. Mira, meet Tesiera Rinderson, my lifeguard.” Kracus introduced, “Tesiera, meet ex–girlfriend, Kamira Anderson.”

Tesiera inclined her head, but the look on her face showed indifference.
“Oh, she’s your bodyguard?” Mira regarded the woman more condescendingly this time, but most of her jealousy had disappeared. This woman was definitely not in Kracus’ league, she had nothing to worry about. Bet she was just a money-hungry beggar he picked up from the streets.
“There are a lot of men out there qualified to protect you, why did you choose…this?” She gestured towards Tesiera. Mira was genuinely curious, but her tone was slightly mocking.
This Tesiera woman might have toned, firm skin that clearly shows that she works out regularly, but she had no visible muscles to indicate someone qualified to protect a high profile like her Kracus.
“That’s enough, Mira. Like I said, it’s none of your business.” he responded harshly.
Tesiera didn’t bother to spare her a glance and simply continued chewing her gum. She was more concerned about the undercurrent between her and the handsome doctor who happened to be her boss.
She had given no shits about what people thought of her all her life. That was why her outburst earlier had gotten to her even more than what they’d almost done afterward. Tesiera could deny it all she wanted, but the truth was that she had really wanted to know what he’d thought after he’d seen her work, and that lapse annoyed her.
She never cared about what people thought. The world could burn around her, and she wouldn’t blink twice. So why the hell would she care about what Kracussian Kingston thought of her?
That man is dangerous for you. It’s best to avoid any involvement that isn’t a professional one with him.
That decision firmly instated in her mind, she leaned against the wall, crossed her arms and watched Mira crawl all over Kracus. Tesiera hated everything about her, her lousy and bothersome behavior, her loudness, and the sound of her annoying squeaky voice that made her skin crawl.
The woman got on her nerves in a way she couldn’t even find the words to explain. It had to be that infuriating attitude of hers, Tesiera thought.
Just then, Kracus’ cell phone rang. It was his friend Diego.
Mira puckered her brows and asked, “Who’s calling? Is it another woman? Do you have someone new in your life?”
Kracus ignored her and answered the call. He started conversing with Diego, and his mood became lighter as the conversation progressed.
Mira took that opportunity to plump herself beside Kracus on the couch. She laid her head on his chest, snuggling herself against him as she wrapped her arms around his body. Kracus looked down at her with an irritated scowl, but he paid no mind to her afterward and continued with his phone call. Mira grinned and kissed his chest.
Tesiera suddenly had the urge to wrap her fingers around that skinny neck of Mira’s and squeeze slowly just to see how long she’d hold out before her oxygen ran out.
The thought made her frown. It must be the Torturer in her wanting to play, she decided.
“Hell yeah, I’ll meet you at the bar tonight. I’ll come straight after work.” Kracus said to Diego. After a few more minutes, he hung up the phone.
“You can’t hang out with that military friend of yours. I planned something special for us today.” Mira whispered seductively.
Kracus’ expression remained indifferent, and he responded with a calm tone, “I’m not interested. There is no us, and I have no plans to spend any time of the day with you, Mira.”
Mira started to whine, “Don’t be like that, babe. I promise, I’ll make up for everything–”
Kracus cut her off with a firm push to her head, removing her from his chest. “Go away, Mira. Whatever we had ended a long time ago, and you need to understand that. It’s out of respect for your father that I’ve not gotten a restraining order on you or done anything drastic to get some sense into that head of yours. But don’t push it,” he stated harshly, looking her straight in the eyes. “Do not push it.”
Tears filled Mira’s eyes as she looked at Kracus like a kicked puppy, but Kracus knew her too well to fall for her facade. He asked himself the same question he always did after they broke up: what the hell had he seen in her in the first place?
When she saw he wasn’t buying it, she sniffled, “Okay. How about I tag along with you and your friend? Forget about a date, let’s just hang out together. It’s just a one-time thing, I promise. It’ll be just the three of us,” Mira proposed instead.
Kracus sighed, exhausted. Sometimes he wondered if she was really so air-headed or if she behaved like that simply to get on his nerves.
“Just say the words, and I’ll throw her out of the premises,” Tesiera’s calm voice broke the silence.
Kracus swiveled his head to her direction to find her quietly checking out her nails.
“I won’t hurt her…much,” Tesiera continued, “ but she’ll be out of your hair in less than five minutes.”
Mira rose from the couch and advanced on Tesiera, “How dare you!? Who the hell do you think you are!? I will slap your eyes out!”
Tesiera smirked, unperturbed, “If you come close to me, you will regret it.” It wasn’t an empty threat. For some reason, she REALLY wanted to get her hands on Kamira Anderson.
Kracus quickly grabbed Mira by the waist and pulled her away. “Do you have a death wish?” Kracus hissed at her. “What the hell is wrong with you?”
“I’m done, Boss, we can go now,” Bose’s voice filled the air as he entered the living room with Clinton trailing behind him.
They both saw Mira, and their smiles faltered. They hated the woman but always kept their cool and respected her because she was the boss’ girlfriend. They were more than happy when that relationship ended.
“Good day, Ma’am,” they greeted her politely before going to stand behind Kracus after he’d risen from the couch, ready to go.
Mira ignored them and struggled against Kracus, “How could you allow this…this…brainless Barbie to insult me!? Leave me alone, I want to teach her a lesson!”
