CHAPTER 3
“I totally support him…… sometimes I feel tempted to just fall for their antics but it’s not just easy….I won’t be able to live with the guilt….but Avia seems to be taking it fine so far” Mika said as we all subconsciously found ourselves looking at her
“I’m going home….. tomorrow is Sunday…. y’all try as much as possible to enough rest for Monday’s saga….. I’m so done with this day” Mika said…. walking briskly towards the counter to get her purse
” Y’all ready to leave?….. I’m tired and I need to shut this place down” Tyler said as he yawns tiredly
” Yeah I’m out like Jasper’s bellybutton” I said and Jasper walked out of the kitchen….. despite working all day he never seems to lost his charm….. always looking good
” You got a problem with my bellybutton….. Jasmine” he said as he ruffles his hair backwards…..I couldn’t help but forcefully look away
“Would you mind if I had a problem with it?” I said with a smirk and he returns it…. making me feel chessy inside
“When you both are done lame flirting?…..you will meet me outside” Roland said and I chuckled
” Are you jealous?” Mika said as we head for the door
” Ewwww…. that’s gross….why would I be jealous of him?…..look at me….I could get any girl I want” he said and Mika scoffed
” Certainly not me or Jasmine….we are way out of your league” Mika said and I smile
Roland is cute though….but I want more than that…..I want someone daring…… and Jasper is the only one giving me that vibe right now……. funny right?
” And who told you I can’t get you girls if I wanted to?…… don’t get your hopes up Mika…. you are not that pretty” Roland said and Mika eyes widened…..she hits him her purse….. making him sqwrim as he ran ahead
These two wouldn’t be the end of me…… always at each other’s throats
We got to the subway and paide our tickets……. joining the line as we got in
We all lived separately but Mika and I are closer….. about three blocks apart
Looking out the window as we headed home….. Avia’s stupid words still running through my mind
Trying to keep my thoughts in check as my eyes caught a huge billboard….. everyday since my 2rd year of working here I have always seen this billboard….. and each time I do I just can’t seem to get my eyes off it
It’s like it’s calling me?……how crazy is that?
It’s an advertisement billoard of one of the biggest business tycoon in town

I immediately scoffed as I shook the thoughts off……my Dad once has some connections with this man but unfortunately things ended when we got into a really huge car accident that claimed the lives of my parents
Six year old me…….. descovering I’m the only survivor of the accident
I woke up with a brain tumor and most of my childhood memories were gone
The very moment my parents were laid to rest was the very day my struggles began
All of my Dad’s businesses were taken over by his wicked brother……..I became a shadow Instantly as he forced me into the hands of poverty
At age 16 I started par time jobs……I started living on rentage in my father’s house…… and if I couldn’t meet up with the payment on time then…….he would…… damn
” Get yourself together Jasmine” I said to myself trying not to dive too much into the very past I’m running from
I got to my stop and hoped off the subway…… Mika also did same
” You free tomorrow afternoon?” She asked and I crock my neck……it hurts badly
” I actually plan on sleeping my life away tomorrow……..you know how stressful Monday’s can be” I said and she nods
“Then we’ll spend the day at your place……I don’t feel like staying all by myself tomorrow” she said and I chuckled
” Sure……but I don’t have any food so better pack up before coming” I said and she laughed it off
She must think I’m really joking?
