CHAPTER 41

Jasmine’s Pov

NEVADA’S GRAND HALL

The wedding is happening in the biggest event’s hall in the city….. and as expected…. multitude of people were present and at that moment I knew my life was about to take a whole new different turn

There were big posters and flyers of myself and Jayson on every wall in the corners……a particular one made me wonder just how far Mrs Mantinda went to get this wedding together

In the posters, Jayson held me possessively as I smiled at him……of course the picture was Photoshop but it doesn’t seem to bother anyone but it bothered me alot…..I felt my intestines churned at everything

Different flowers and designs were all over the place as it feels like heaven on earth……. boosting out the uniqueness and rearitly of the hall…… Mrs Mantinda sure paid alot to get this place started

The tables and chairs were covered in with expensive linens……the up there over the stage was a big picture of myself and Jayson….. smiling at each other lovingly…..who the fúck did these edits?

There’s a rose path…. covered in beautiful ominous flowers as it formed in isle down to the stage…….. lights beaming all over the place as everywhere glittered in pure bliss……

The hall was more than enticing….. it’s deco….theme and literally everything about it spelt MONEY…….PURE FKING MONEY

Soon guests were arriving and the place was getting filled up….. different big personalities from different countries were present…… Mrs Mantinda really knows her stuff

I’m pretty sure she put in all her efforts to get this place done and certainly this isn’t a day’s job

She must have been planning this for weeks…… maybe even before I arrived….. just waiting for the opportunity for Jayson to make a move and boom, she strikes

Roland was present as he quietly sits down amongst the guest….. I’m sure he’s also wondering how my life went from being a common waitress to getting married to one of the richest man in the city……

A marriage were the groom didn’t even inform the bride…..he really doesn’t want to get married

“Hey….” a female voice said and he turned sharply….. looking at her as she’s strapped in a weaving patterns white dress that looks elegant on her….. she smiles brightly as she sat in front of him

He trails and she rested both hands on her chin

“I never imagined to see you here” she said and he frowned a little

“Do I know you?” He asked and she chuckles

“Technically…… I also visit the M&K resort…..you work there…. right?” She asked and he smiles a little as he descoverd she’s just a customer at work

“Yeah….. I’m a fry cook” he said and she smiles……he wondered where that smile was all about

“Wow……. your colleague is getting married to Jayson Bartle…… I’m so surprised, isn’t she a waitress at your resort?” She asked and Roland didn’t know how to answer the question without making a fool out of himself

“Isn’t she lucky?” He asked….. ignoring her question and she furrows her eyebrows

“She sure is……. and by the way, my name is Delilah” she said…. extending her hand forward for an handshake and he took it……her hands are suprisingly soft

“Roland…… it’s nice to meet you” he said and she smiles before withdrawing her hand

“It’s more than a pleasure to meet you too….. Roland” she said and he wondered what she wants from him.

Jayson’s Pov

I came out of the groom room with Noah besides me…. of course, he’s always part of everything I do and he’s more than just my personal assistant……we share a bond stronger than that of anything in the world

He came into my life after I almost died in the hands of the one I called my brother……. that’s a story for another day

I couldn’t smile……all forms of emotions fled from me as I stepped into the hall……. rounds of claps and different cameras flashed on my face as I made my way towards the stage

Noah stooped at the first roll of the steats while I walked up to the podium….. standing on the second step that leads to the main stage

I didn’t know what to feel…..I was blank…… this whole shît started as a play…….. some days ago and now I’m getting married to her

I clutched onto myself as I faced the crowd…..more cameras were flashing as I spotted my Mom in the mist of the crowd……she was smiling brightly as she stared back at me

That’s the world’s smartest mom right there……I thought I could fool her but she’s always a step ahead of me….. knowing my every move right from birth

I guess the attention I received from her while growing up what was led to the death of my Dad and the excel of my brother

She’s always on my case…… always there to provide and protect me but she doesn’t understand that I’m not a little boy anymore and I can take care of myself.
