CHAPTER 53

His eyes were on me the whole time

“What’s your surname?” He suddenly asked I paused for a minute

“Corey, my name is Jasmine Corey” I answered and he nods

“That name sounds familiar” he said and I poured the hot water into the cup…..the strong scent filled the kitchen instantly

“Please, there’s like a billion people out there bearing the same name as me, but nevertheless it’s okay” I said and he nods

“You are right” he said, he looked a bit disappointed but I shrugged it off

My mind drifted off to Mandy and I really wanted to tell him but I’d rather not, she’s not worth it

“Here you go” I said as I handed the cup to him and he collects it, I watched him take a sip and a small smile plastered on his face

“Woah, this is really good” he said as he sips again and I smiled brightly….. I’m really good at everything

He emptied the cup and looks at me

“Next time, instead of attempting to burn down the house, just call me to help you, I will gladly do it” I said and he smiles a little

“Thanks, I will be leaving for work…..I will call you if I’m going to be late” he said and I frowned, another boring day without Jayson…… awwww no

“You clearly forgot that I don’t have a phone” I said and started walking away

I heard his footsteps behind me as I flopped on the couch, placing both legs on it

“I will fix that” he simply said as he jugged upstairs and I frowned

“Maybe I should talk to Mrs Mantinda about getting a job, I can’t continue to stay home everyday with out doing anything” I said with a frown on my face

Jayson’s Pov

Jayson’s Office

I walked in with a smile on my face, it was actually a small smile but each time I think of Jasmine’s funny behavior, I feel the smile spreading wider

I really don’t want to get close to her but she’s just always around me, everywhere I go, each turn I take….. she’s always in my face and sometimes it’s really hard to just look away

She might not be the Jasmine I know from my childhood but she posses every character and that sometimes worries alot

The way she smiles, pout, laugh, frown…… literally everything about her reminds of my first love….the first girl I ever fell in love with

yeah I may be ten years old and she was six years old when all that happened but what we had in the past was really intense

She was my first kiss…… shocked?, yeah you should be

We spend everyday together, she was my life and the air that I breathe but suddenly something terrible happened and I lost her

But seeing Jasmine now rekindles all those feelings and I just can’t help but feel like she’s my long lost love

The girl who stole my heart and made it impossible to fall in love again

I sighed as I entered and met Noah, but that didn’t get to me until I saw Mandy standing beside him

I frowned instantly and she walked up to me

“Jay……oh my goodness…. it’s been so long” she said, hugging me but I pulled her off immediately

“How did she get in here?” I asked Noah and he smiles nervously

“I told her not to come in but she threatened me” Noah said and I rubbed my forehead.
