CHAPTER 57

“You see…. just call me star without adding the fish” I said and we both laughed lightly……my eyes trails to the box and like every other human being, I got curious

“What’s in the box?” I asked and he looks at me…. taking the box and placed it on my thighs

“Open it” he simply said and I stared at him with a puzzled look on my face, slowly taking the box and unwrapping it

My eyes widened as I looked at him, he really kept to his word

“You got me a brand new phone?….awww that’s so sweet of you” I goshed as I opened the box in a haste…..he didn’t say a word as he watched me destroy the poor box and brought out the phone…. it’s sparking new and the white color fitted it perfectly

I didn’t bother to check the brand both I know it’s an expensive due to it’s smoothness, it doesn’t weigh much but the length is worth staring at

“You like it?” He asked and I nod virgoursly…..he taps my head and I stared at him with a funny look on my face

“You should charge it fully before using it” he said and I immediately felt the urge to tell him what I’ve been dying to keep inside

He’s to sweet to be lied to and I can’t help but feel guilty at this point

“Jay….” I called and he eyes slowly met mine, I guess he noticed the seriousness in my tone

“Any problem Star?” He asked and my heart did a little flutter before looking at him, like do you blame me though?

“I really want to tell you something important” I said as all smile vaded off my face and he turned down the volume of the TV

“I’m listening…..” He said and I swallowed hard as I fiddled with the phone I’m holding

Where do I start from?, How do I even approach the situation?

I felt my courage slipping off me as my palms got sweaty……

“Are you okay?” He asked and I looked at him…..but I couldn’t keep much eye contact as I found my lids going down…. looking at the ground

He slowly touched my chin and raised my head with his index finger and I saw the concern in his eyes

“What’s bothering you?” He asked again and I faked a smile

You can do this Jasmine, just tell him now before things get out of control

“Jayson, the thing is…..I…..umm….I sig….” I couldn’t complete my statement when his phone started ringing…..he slowly looks at it with reluctance written all over his face and took it

“I really need to take this call….. we’ll talk later” he said as he walked towards the stairs and I covered my face with both hands

Why did I fidget?….. it’s really hard to tell him seeing that we are finally getting close

I shut my eyes as different thoughts surged through me….. looking at the phone as a bright smile plastered on my face

“I will find a way to tell him, somehow” I said to myself as rested on the couch fully
