CHAPTER 58

Secret Hideout

A dark room where light luminated from a small hole in the celling…. it’s really cold and wary

Laurence dragged Avia into the room as she reluctantly followed him behind her…..her whimpers filled the silent area as her feet dragged roughly on the ground

He held her hand tighly as they finally got to the room and he opened the door before pushing her in, she yelped a little as she looks around the room, it’s really dark

“Turn on the lights you fool!” She snapped immediately and he turned on the light…. she gasped as she saw their father laying on the bed, his eyes were slightly open as he could barely move

“Father!!” she whimpers as she scrambled towards him and held him to herself, she touched his eyes and nose…. practically all his body to see if he’s okay

“He isn’t dead…. he’s just there like a vegetable” Laurence said with zero emotions as she slowly looks at him….. tears welled up in her eyes as she found herself chewing on the inside flesh on her lips

“What did you do to him?” She asked with difficulty as she saw her father almost lifeless

“Nothing much…. just sadated him a little” he said with a smirk and she slowly stood up

“A little!!!?”

“What?, It’s not like he’s dead”he said and she rubs her forehead

“I know what Dad wanted to do wasn’t right but we can’t kill our father……I can’t be part of that” she said and he walked towards her and taps her shoulder

“I’m not going to kill him…..I just want to him to be vulnerable so I get what I want and all I have to do is wait for two months and some weeks, it’s that simple” he said and she looks at their father…..his eyes were on now on them but he couldn’t do anything

“Are you going to kill Jasmine?” She asked and he stroked his chin

“Only if she gives me a reason to besides…..the only business I have with Jasmine is her signature, Jasper is the one who have a score to settle with her” he said and she raised both eye in confusion

“Wait……is it the Jasper I know?, the one who works at my place?” She asked as everything started making sense to her

Jasper never really liked Jasmine, it’s all a trick?

“Yup….. and together, we will make Jasmine and Jayson regret ever crossing us” Laurence said and Avia lips parted slightly

“Riley and Jayson’s sister wants Jasmine dead…..they asked me to help them and everything is set all ready” Avia said and Laurence smriks vanished as he stares at her with bulging eyes

“What!!!!!?, If they succeed in killing Jasmine then I will not be able to take over……why would help them!?” He snapped and she ruffles her hair in utter confusion

“I didn’t know that it will come to this…..we have to stop them before they carry out their plans” Avia said as anxiety laced her voice

“Tell me everything you know….” Laurence trails and she looks at him…..a cough came from their father and Laurence smiled with a mischievous grin on his face

Mandy’s Hotel Room

She sat in front of the mirror with her legs across one another….. staring at herself with so much admiration

Right from birth she has been gifted a slim beautiful body that makes her the center of attention but for some reason she has to compete with…. Jasmine

Jasmine wasn’t attractive nor beautiful when they were young

She was fat and round like a basketball….. her brown curls were not beautiful either…..she eats like a pig and that’s the reason she was fat

Calling her chubby doesn’t match up with the hatered she has for her but rather it makes it feels as if she cared

But despite her ugliness…… people still prefer her….they loved her and she gets all the attention in school and consequently Jayson fell in love with her

They spent almost all the time together and that makes Mandy so mad….. thinking about it now only rekindles the hate.
