CHAPTER 83
“You are being a killjoy, you could have just played along” he grumbled and I raised an eyebrow…. although I can’t see his face, but I definitely know he’s smiling
“Oh really?, now I’m a killjoy?, Screw you” I muttered as I try to wriggle out of his grip but he held me still, pressing my shoulders with his weight and I think I might pass out soon
“You already did few hours ago….. want more?” He whispered in my ears and I felt something tingle down my spine as I poked his head resting on mine
“You are being naughty again….go away!” I whined and he chuckled as he finally released me and I breathe out in relief, honestly I thought he was going to shrink me with his huge figure
“I’m bored, let’s do something fun” he said and I looked at him
“Movie?…..” I suggested and he smiles as he hurriedly sat besides me, laying his head on my thighs as I subconsciously found myself caressing his brown curls….I would never admit this, but his hair is really smooth and fluffy
He took the remote control and my throat itched to tell him the truth, but what if he reacts terribly to it, kicking me out of his life and ruining everything that we’ve managed to build
Not that it matters but I don’t know, I don’t think he’s faking his affection towards me and I’m certainly enjoying our time together, I don’t want it to end, not now at least
“Jay?” I called and he tears his gaze off the TV and look up at me, our brown orbs meeting each other, creating a sweet friction as I continued to dip my long fingers into his hair, I could never get tired of feeling the smooth texture and softness it brings to my finger’s pad
“Umm, Star” he answered and I cleared my throat
“Hypothetically speaking, what if, just what if, you know, one day you find out that this marriage of ours was actually planned…. what will you do?” I blurted out and he frowned a bit as he held my hands, I saw the flash of unbelieve and hurt but it wasn’t deep….he slowly raised his head from my thighs as I looked at him
“You don’t want to know my reaction Star, drop that question” he sounded serious and I felt my palms sweaty as I pulpits danced with his, looking at each other but his gaze was intense and the atmosphere became stuffy
“I was just asking, it’s not as if we’re in an arranged marriage or anything, I just wanna know what your reaction would be” I ventured and he raised his eyebrows in a questioning manner
“I won’t be able to comprehend what my reaction would be, I don’t even want to imagine that I’m in an arranged marriage with you, I know my mom forced us to get married but I’ve come to like the person whom I once hated, and I don’t want that to end” he said as he held my hands and I pulled him into my warm embrace
Shutting my eyes closed as tears threatened to fall out but I struggled to keep them in check
How do I bring myself to tell him that his worst fear, is actually real…..that I’m nothing but a fregment of his imagination and all these isn’t real….. the wedding ring on my finger is fake
It’s barely three weeks and he has fallen for me, the initial plan was to report immediately he opened up to me about his feelings but now?, I can’t even bring myself to tell him or his mother anything
I’m stuck in a big mess
“It’s okay Jay, I’m here for you, I will always be here for you” I muttered as I rubbed his back soothingly…..in as much as it sounded as a big lie…. it’s actually the truth and I meant it
I can’t risk telling Jayson the truth now, not after hearing what he said, I can’t bare to see him sad or broken because of me, it’s going to shatter my entire existence, it’s going to turn my already cloudy world into a storm of pain, I just can’t hurt him
He smiles at me before resting his head in the initial position
“I miss you Star, and I can’t wait to have you back” he said and I stared at him with mixed emotions running through me
Have me back?….. does that ring a bell?

“Arrrrrrragh!!!!” Delilah yells as she trashed Alfred’s mirror as it broke into pieces I’m front of her
She immediately left for his tiny apartment right after pushing the love of her life away, that hurts!
She saw the confusion on Roland’s eyes
“What’s come over you!?, you are destroying my room!” Alfred snapped and she grabbed the hem of his shirt, fisting it in both hands as she pulled him close with a glare on her face
“I will do more than destroying your stupid room if you don’t shut the fúck up you bloody bastard!” She shouted and he shoved her away….but that doesn’t stop her from slapping the living day lights out of him.
