Meanwhile, Emperor Augustus faced the returned spirit, now taken the form of a woman . “What are you doing, scaring my slave?” he demanded.

“Oh!! She is the slave you took from Sebastian” she exclaimed as her eyes sparkled with mischief “It has been long I came here” Alora closed her eyes slightly as they appeared in the emperor’s chamber.

“Why are you here” He asked again.

“Didn’t you miss me, oh c’mon….I was busy with others??”

“The fact that you came here meant something important, Alora” he raised a brow and she turned to him.

“How wise….you got me,” she chuckled.

The emperor’s gaze narrowed. “You’ve found her, haven’t you?”

Alora’s smile grew wider. “Her scent is in this palace, but it’s too faint. It won’t be easy to find her.”

“In this palace” He frowned and he tried to read her mind but it was blank.

“Are you trying to read my mind” she asked skeptically.

Emperor Augustus’s eyes narrowed, his mind racing with possibilities. “You’re hiding something, Alora. I can sense it.”

Alora’s laughter echoed through the corridors. “You’ll discover soon enough. But for now, let’s just say…….. something is coming up”

“You know how I hate suspense, Alora….just tell me” He said coldly.

“Wait until the next full moon, you’ll find out” she muttered and vanished.

Emperor Augustus grunted and entered his bathroom.

Aurora got to the quarters hastily and jumped on her bed as different thought ran through her mind.

What was that? Why did the emperor saved me? She thought smiling when she remembers how the emperor held her.

Wait!! She is supposed to hate him right. What was she thinking. Though, he saved me.

She let out a short smile and tried to sleep but it wasn’t coming. She let out a sigh as she gazed at the ceiling.

Soon, darkness took over and she fell asleep.

NEXT MORNING

Aurora walked to the Palace Kitchen to see some maids working already in the kitchen. Her eyes scanned everywhere when she heard murmurs.

…Here the witch is!

…Her face irritate me, seriously

“Shut up, aren’t you tired already” Aurora heard a voice and she recognized it to be Jade’s

Aurora walked towards Jade ignoring the glares she received from the maids.

“Hey, you woke up late” jade muttered.

“I couldn’t sleep last night” Aurora scratched her head.

“Come escort me to the princess chamber….I’m going to give her this tea” Jade smiled.

“Sure”

They left the kitchen together chatting loudly. Sage approached them rolling her eyes on seeing jade with Aurora.

“Hey slave, My lady wants to see you in her chamber” She gestured at Aurora.

“and why is that” Jade asked.

“Did I do anything wrong? Why?” Aurora asked curiously.

“If u want to know, follow me” she glared at walked away.

“See you later” Aurora waved at Jade and followed Sage.
