CHAPTER 33

QUEEN NANA’S CHAMBER

Esmeralda walked into the queen mother chamber and saw her knitting, she greeted her with respect.

“Queen Mother”

“What brings you here Esme” she asked dropping what she is knitting.

Esmeralda teared up immediately and Queen Nana felt sympathy.

“What is it Esmeralda, tell me” she urged.

“It the emperor”

“What did he do” she raised a brow.

“He chose the slave over me” She blurted and Queen Nana tilted her head backwards.

“Never, Augustus can never stoop so low to do that” she shook her head.

“Well he did, I feel like I’m losing him mother” she said in a calm and sweet voice.

“You won’t Esme, I’ll talk to him” she assured but she wasn’t satisfied.

“You know him Mother, he doesn’t easily listen” Esmeralda said.

“Of course, he will and I’ll make sure that slave stays in her place” Queen Nana said and Esmeralda smiled.

“Thank you Queen mother” She muttered.

“For you to make him yours, you have to get pregnant” Queen Nana said and she bent her head in embarrassment

“But Mother, he doesn’t……”

“You don’t have to worry, His father has once been like that” she creaked and Walked to her drawer bringing out a wrap.

She handed it to Esmeralda and sat down in front of her.

“What could this be mother” Esmeralda asked, curious.

“It a non-resistant pill, just add it into his drink and he wouldn’t be able to resist you nor stop himself from releasing inside you” Queen Nana explained and Esmeralda smiled to herself.

This is great? She should have come to the Queen Mother in the first place? This is surely a better plan to make the emperor hers???

“Thank you, Queen Mother”.

“You are welcome”

EMP. AUGUSTUS CHAMBER

Sora sighed as she beheld Aurora’s limp form, her skin pale and dry. She is slowly giving up to death.

She could sense the poison’s dark energy suffusing Aurora’s body, threatening to consume her to death.

With a deep breath, Sora focused her healing powers, closing her eyes immediately.

She placed her hands on Aurora’s chest, and a soft, pulsing glow emanated from her fingers. The light enveloped Aurora’s body, penetrating deep into her soul.

Sora’s energy coursed through Aurora’s body, her skin began to regain its natural radiance, and her breathing grew stronger. The dryness gave way to a fresh skin, like the first dewdrops on a morning leaf.

Sora’s drew out the poisonous gas, neutralizing its dark influence and restoring balance to Aurora’s vital.

The gas escaped in a visible mist and dark form, as it dissipate into thin air.

With each passing moment, Aurora’s color improved, her pulse strengthened, and her chest rose and fell with increasing steadiness.

Emperor Augustus entered the lounge towards the bed.

“She’s fine your highness, she’ll only need some rest” Sora assured and picked up her bags leaving the chamber.

Augustus sighed, He doesn’t know why he is doing this?

He turned his gaze to her as thought ran through his mind.

Who could she be? He asked no one in particular as he looked at the window.
