CHAPTER 66

PALACE FIELD

Louis could be seen practicing Sword fighting alone in the field. He was so engrossed in it that he didn’t notice Jade who was staring at him.

His eyes soon met with hers and he smiled walking towards her with his sword.

“Hey, how long have you been here” He asked, his body filled with sweat.

“Just now” she lied letting out a sly smile.

“What are you doing here in the first place” he raised an eyebrow and she gulped.

“I was just walking around and I happen to be here” she replied as he gasped for air.

She stretched him a cup of water “here” she hands it to him and he took it.

“How did you know I need water” he asked and she shrugged.

“You’ve been here since morning… then…..” She waved her hands shyly.

“That means you’ve been here all along” he replied and she looked away as her cheek became reddish in blush.

She covered her cheek and faced him again “that not it” she said and turned to walk away.

He held her hand and she stopped “Take” he handed back the cup to her.

“Okay” she took the cup shyly and walked away releasing heavy breath.

Louis chuckled as he watch her retreating backs “cute” he muttered.

SAPPHIRE’S CHAMBER

Aurora entered the chamber, her presence commanding attention from Sapphire and Jade. They turned to face her, their eyes sparkling with warmth and teasing.

“Here comes our future empress,” Sapphire teased

Aurora chuckled, her eyes shining with amusement. “C’mon,” she replied, her voice playful.

Jade’s gaze was soft. “I really don’t know what to call you now… maybe ‘My Lady’ or ‘My Queen’?” she muttered and Aurora cheeks flushed as they all laughed.

Sapphire’s expression turned serious, her eyes narrowing slightly. “How’s our baby doing? You didn’t tell me you were pregnant… why?” she asked.

Aurora’s smile faltered for a moment before she hugged Sapphire. “I wasn’t sure of myself then… sorry,” she admitted, her voice barely above a whisper.

Sapphire’s eyes sparkled with understanding. “You should have told me how you felt I’m a physician, you know,” she said feeling proud

“Really… you?” Aurora chuckled, her eyes shining with mirth.

As they chatted, Aurora’s hand instinctively went to her stomach, her expression softening. “What is it, Aurora? Are you hurt?” Sapphire asked, her voice laced with concern.

Aurora’s pout was adorable, her eyes sparkling with mischief. “I’m hungry,” she mouthed, her voice barely audible.

Jade’s eyebrow rose in disbelief. “Seriously, I’m sure you ate a while ago,” she said, her voice firm.

“Let’s go eat mine at the dining area together,” Sapphire suggested, her voice warm and they walked towards the dining area.

As they sat down, Jade opened the dishes, and the aroma wafting from the chicken made Aurora’s stomach growl with anticipation.

Without hesitation, Aurora grabbed a chicken leg and scooped it into her mouth, eating with a speed and ferocity that left Sapphire and Jade staring in shock.

“Take it easy, Aurora; the food isn’t going anywhere,” Sapphire said, her voice laced with amusement.

But Aurora was unstoppable, her hunger seemingly insatiable as she devoured plate after plate of food. Sapphire and Jade exchanged worried glances, their eyes fixed on Aurora as she ate with reckless abandon.

Finally, Aurora leaned back in her chair, her eyes gleaming with satisfaction. “Oh my, this is good,” she sighed, her gaze meeting Sapphire and Jade’s shocked stares.

The silence that followed was palpable, the only sound Aurora’s contented sighs as she gazed at the empty plates in front of her.

“How can you consume three plates of ramen and a plate of chicken at a time?” Sapphire asked, her voice filled with disbelief.

Aurora’s eyes widened, her face flushing with embarrassment. “Huh, did I?” she muttered, her gaze fixed on the empty plates.

“Maybe it’s the pregnancy,” she suggested, her voice barely above a whisper.

But before anyone could respond, Aurora’s felt something come up to her throat, her eyes fixed on the floor as she stumbled out of the dining area, her hand covering her mouth. In a flash, she was gone into the toilet, leaving Sapphire and Jade glancing at each other.

Sapphire and Jade took a glance at themselves “This is more harder than I thought” Jade muttered.
