THE CURSE OF ALTVALL : CHAPTER 41 – 50
Surganah smiled faintly, and for the first time, it wasn’t cruel.
“It means,” he said slowly, “that this child is dear to me. He will be protected. Raised with the care of one born to greatness.”
He stepped back, hands behind his back like a king addressing his subject. “I have named him. His name will be Alpha Jeun.”
The name echoed around the chamber like a spell. Audrey stared at him in disbelief.
“Alpha…?” she whispered. “But he’s just a baby.”
“Not just a baby,” Surganah said. “You’ll see. In time, the world will see.”
Then he stepped even closer, lowering his voice. “And you, Audrey. You’ve done something no other has ever managed. You’ve borne a child I cannot understand… and yet, I already feel bound to.”
Audrey blinked, unsure what to say. But then, Surganah did something that shook her deeper than any cruelty ever had.
He bowed his head slightly.
“You will be Queen of Altvall,” he said, “if you remain loyal to me. I will give you power. Safety. All I ask is that you raise Alpha Jeun with your full heart. No lies. No secrets.”
Audrey’s mouth fell open slightly. She didn’t know what to feel—fear, confusion, hope, or dread.
But one thing was clear. Something had changed.
Surganah—The One, the terror of Altvall—had declared her a queen. Had named her son an Alpha. And though every part of her had once hated him… now she saw something behind his eyes she didn’t understand.
She clutched her baby tightly, feeling his warmth and breath against her skin.
“Thank you,” she said, barely audible.
Surganah only gave her a single nod before disappearing into the shadows of his great hall, leaving Audrey alone with her son… and the impossible future that lay ahead.

The Crown And The Cradle
The great hall of the Blackfang Citadel blazed with golden torchlight, its obsidian walls echoing the chants of the Surganah’s pack.
Banners stitched with the blood-red crest of the Alpha fluttered from on high, while the central dais was adorned with wild lilies and rare purple roses plucked from the forbidden edges of the Howling Woods.
This was no ordinary day—it was a day marked by the naming of Alpha Jeun, the child declared heir to the kingdom of Altvall, and the ascension of his mother, Audrey, to the throne as Queen.
Surganah stood tall beside Audrey, his expression unreadable, yet commanding as ever.
Draped in a dark ceremonial cloak laced with gold thread, he addressed the pack and the people. “Today, we honor the bloodline that shall carry the legacy of Altvall,” he roared. “Today, I name this child Jeun, my son, born under the wolf moon, carved from prophecy.”
