Uncle Noah came running in.

“Clary what happened” he asked.

“No uncle don’t come closer” l said and turned my back on him.

“Clary look at me”uncle Noah said.

“No! No! No! Just leave, leave me alone” l yelled.

“Clary look at him now, what happening to you?” Uncle Noah asked and l turned slowly to look at him.

He gasped and shifted in surprise.

Tears were flowing from my eyes already.

“Your eyes, what happened to your eyes Clary?”

“I don’t know uncle, just leave, aren’t you scared of me, how come am suddenly like this? What’s happening uncle?”

“How do l go to school like this?”

“What will l do now?”

“Clary! listen to me…….”

“I want to be left alone, just leave, leave me alone.”

“What’s happening to me? What is happening?”

I stared at the necklace Lonrenzo gave to me, should l call him.

I stared hard at the necklace and l recalled the memories of the first time we met.

That day l was coming back from school and l heard someone whimpering.

I traced the sound and found Lonrenzo in a Cave, his body was gradually changing to stone.

I gasped in surprise as l have never seen someone in such condition.

He was shivering terribly and murmuring words.

I bent down and placed my ear close to his lips.

“Dragon ant”he kept murmuring.

Dragon ant?
Does he mean the dragon ant can heal him?

Never in my life have l seen someone in this state.

He was shivering and gasping for air.

What happened to him?

Like have heard, the dragon ant is found in a forest, filled with wild animals.

With my Level in marital art, l won’t come out alive.

But l can’t let him die,l dropped my back pack and took out a small bow that uncle Noah gave to me.

It’s always with me.

“Don’t worry, l will get the dragon ant to save you” l said and left.

The forest was dark,l was so frightened that sometimes l screamed in fear at every little sound.

I successfully got to the tree where the dragon ant lives.

Wow! So easy l exclaimed happily and made to touch the dragon ant but in a twinkle of an eye l was in another planet entirely.

I held my head as memories came flooding in.

I saw a woman calling me her daughter and l saw Maya uncle Noah said Skylar calling out to me

No! I need to control my thoughts, this must be an illusion.

I blocked my thoughts and the memories in my head kept fading away and the pains l was feeling reduced.

And in a twinkle of an eye l found myself back to the tree where the dragon ant lives.

I touched the dragon ant it vanished.

What the h..ell! I exclaimed and screamed in fright as l felt something on my hand.

The dragon ant.

Don’t bite me! Don’t bite me l screamed in fear and it nods obediently.

Wow! It’s very obedient, just like l heard.

I made my way to the cave and found him, but now he was already unconscious.

Bite him! I told the dragon ant and he crawled down from my arms and bite him on his hand.

And almost immediately his body came back to normal.

“Wow! I exclaimed happily.

Thank you! Thank you dragon ant l said happily and it disappeared.

Wow! What an obedient creature.

I picked up my back pack and left the cave, hopefully the boy will wake up soon.

It was just few mitres remaining for me to get home, someone suddenly appeared in front of me.

I screamed in fear but stopped as l stared at the godlike creature in front of me.

I was obviously drooling

Clary you are so stupid, what if he is a spirit.

I made to run quickly.

“Stop” he said and l halted.

“Thanks for saving me.”

“You are the boy that was in the cave?”
I asked and blinked severally.

Did l just save a good, am so fortunate l said inwardly.

He took our a necklace from his breast pocket.

“Take it, call me whenever you need help” he said and disappeared.

“Hey you, what’s your name?” I half yelled but he was gone.

I stared at the beautiful necklace.

“Help me ” l cried and he appeared immediately.

“Wow! You kept to your promise, what’s your name?”

“Lonrenzo, he said and disappeared.”

What’s with him and disappearing.

I kept the necklace and ever since Lonrenzo is always there to help me when am in trouble.

But l don’t know who exactly he is.

Will he help me this time? What if he gets scared of me?

“Lonrenzo please come and help me”l sobbed as l spoke to the necklace.

Why is my life like this? Am almost late for school, what’s happening to me?

“Lonrenzo! You are here” l asked as l covered my face.

“Clarissa, look at me, what happened to you?”

“Please help me, my eyes.”

“What happened to your eyes? Look at me Clarissa.”

The cover fell of my face and l stared at him.

He gasped in surprise and a hint of guilt flashed across his eyes and was replaced with worry.

“Please help me Lonrenzo, l have to go to school and participate in the treasure hunt,can’t get my uncle in trouble again by making him lie for me.”

“I will help you for the main time but you have to avoid the witches in school as possible as you can, and never you look at the mirror when you are with someone.”

“What are you going to do?”

“I will change your eyeballs back to normal, but it’s only for the meantime till l find out something.”

“Just do it, anything and please l don’t know if am asking for too much, Skylar went missing can you help me bring her back please lonrenzo.”

“Leave now you are late” he said l found myself in school.

I entered the class and the marital art teacher was there already.

After the spell practice class, all those who are participating for the treasure hunt should gather at the principal’s office.

“Yes ma’am” we said in unison.

“Thank goodness!l can still prepare my mind before the hunt.

Lindon the prime Minister’s son and Aries came in and like usual they were holding hands.

Aries left Lindon, she walked up to me and slapped me hard across the face.

“You lowlife, you dare tried to poison someone in my boyfriend’s father party, and you Bewitched the crown prince into cancelling the case” she spat and glared daggers at me.

She tried to slap me the second time, but being the Clarissa that l am, l held her hands and gave her two slaps across her face and the whole class gasped.

“You wtch” she yelled and l chuckled.

“You are the wtch here, witch” l said and hissed loudly.

And some laughed.

“Baby, see what this wretch is doing to me, l want you to throw her out of your house” she said and Lindon stared at me.

“It’s okay Aries, let her be,l will deal with her later” Lindon said and dragged Aries to her seat.

“Wait!” She told Lindon and came back to meet me.

“You should avoid the witches as possible as you can” Lonrenzo words came rushing in.

Am doomed , l think she saw through me.
