Landon walk out of a restaurant with Ariel who is putting on a pink shirt and leggings with fluffy slippers.
“Wait you mean to tell me that that small food we just ate is 2000?” Landon asked.
“Of course, why are you saying this, is anything the matter?” Ariel asked.
“I want to eat more that’s why?” Landon said.
“Then let’s go back and eat more” Ariel said and they walk back into the restaurant.
“Wetin una want again?” The lady in charge asked.
“We want more Mama Kunle” Ariel said.
“Ok, which one?” She asked.
“Give us ripe plantain and chicken pepper soup and also rice and pepper Stew” Ariel said.
“Ok, am coming, make una give me some time” she said and Ariel nodded.
“Everything here seems different than in France” Landon said.
“That’s because this is Nigeria and not France, Nigeria got a way of doing their own things” Ariel said.
“The lady suppose get at least two girls to help her, she is stressing herself” Landon said.
“Abeg make i ask you, this lady na your mama?, na Judy be that?” Ariel asked.
“No but…..
“You should go work for her, stop disturbing me” Ariel said and he nodded.
The lady returned after some minutes and Ariel smiled widely as she dropped the food in front of them.
“Thank you so much” Ariel said and she smiled.
“Enjoy your meal, oyinbo enjoy your meal okay” she said to Landon and he smiled.
“What’s the meaning of oyi…whatever?” Landon asked.
“It means someone that is white and pretty” Ariel said and he smiled.
“Wow!” He chuckled.
“Let eat joor, you don dey blush Ted like tomatoe Jos” Ariel said and start eating.
She started with the pepper Stew but Even with that she didn’t act like it’s peppery, she just continued eating It.
“Mmmhhhh this is delicious” Landon said eating the Ripe plantain and chicken pepper soup.
“I know right” Ariel said.
“But it’s too spicy” he said blowin air out of his mouth.
“Just eat the chicken then come join me afterwards” Ariel said and he nodded, he ate one of the chicken laps then he walk to Ariel and pick his spoon ready to eat with her.
“Join me” she said and he smiled before starting to eat.
But immediately he tasted the first spoon of the rice he Froze.
What the h–ll is this?, it’s so f***king peppery.
“Don are you okay?” Ariel’s asked and he nodded.
“Of course I am” he said and gulped down the water on the table, he ate the three more spoon and stood when he can’t take it again.
“Don what is it?” Ariel asked but instead of answering he remove his shirt and start fanning himself.
“Aaaarrrrrgggghhhh!” He screamed, it’s like the pepper is becoming more hot inside his mouth and throat
“Landon!” Ariel asked.
“Do you want to k!ll me?” He asked.
“What happened?” She asked.
“Why you wan use pepper k!ll me?, wetin I do you?” He asked in pidgin for the first time and Ariel burst into laughter.
“Sorry Don…..
“Am no longer interested in you, am going back to France, am done here” he said and start crying.
“Don!” Ariel called.
“Don’t call me” he said and walk out of the restaurant, Ariel stood and went after him.
