THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 1 – 10
Kaiden paced anxiously outside the hospital room, his mind racing with worst-case scenarios. He had found her lying on the cat, bleeding profusely, and his heart had almost stopped. Who was she? And what had happened to her?
The doctor emerged from the room, a reassuring smile on his face.
“How is she, doctor?” Kaiden asked worriedly.
“Nothing is wrong, she’s just stressed,” the doctor said, his expression calm.
Kaiden’s eyes narrowed. “What about the deep wound and blood?” he asked.
The doctor’s smile faltered for a moment.
“What are you talking about? She has nothing on her body. She’s awake now, you can take her home.” He said.
Kaiden’s confusion deepened. Hadn’t he seen the blood?.
He pushed aside his doubts and entered the hospital room. The girl was sitting on the bed, staring blankly into space. Her eyes were sunken, her skin pale.
“Are you okay?” Kaiden asked, trying to keep his voice gentle.
She didn’t respond. Kaiden’s concern grew. He grabbed her hand, trying to rouse her.
“Hey, can you hear me?”She didn’t react. Kaiden’s heart sank. Was she okay? Really?
He helped her out of the hospital, his mind racing with questions. Who was she? What had happened to her? And why wasn’t she responding?
As they walked to the car, Kaiden tried to ask her more questions.
“Where are you coming from? How did you fall on my car?”
She still didn’t respond. Kaiden’s frustration grew. Was she deaf and dumb?
He helped her into the car, trying to be patient. Maybe she was just traumatized. Maybe she needed time.
As they drove to Kaiden’s apartment, the silence between them grew thicker. Kaiden tried to make small talk, but she didn’t respond.
When they arrived at the apartment, Kaiden helped her inside.
“Are you hungry? Are you feeling sick?” he asked, trying to gauge her condition.
She didn’t respond. Kaiden’s concern deepened. He led her to the couch, where she collapsed, closing her eyes.
“She must still be tired,” Kaiden muttered, trying to reassure himself.
Just then, his phone dinged. Kaiden’s heart sank as he read the text from his boss. “Return my car, you’re fired.”
Kaiden’s hand shook as he read the text. He had forgotten about his boss’s daughter’s birthday surprise, he was supposed to deliver present to her but he was distracted by the accident.
He immediately ran out of the apartment, leaving the mysterious girl behind. As he rushed to return the car.

Kaiden trudged through the door, his shoulders slumped in defeat. He had just lost his job, and with it, his only means of paying off the loan sharks who had been hounding him for months.
His father’s disappearance had left him with a mountain of debt, and Kaiden had been running from the collectors ever since. He had thought that his job would be his salvation, but now it seemed like everything was falling apart.
As he entered the apartment, he spotted the mysterious girl still sleeping on the couch.
“Is she going to sleep all day?” he muttered to himself, moving closer to her.
He noticed that she was wearing a traditional dress, intricately embroidered with symbols he didn’t recognize. Her white hair cascaded down her back like a river of snow, surprisingly long and silky.
Kaiden’s curiosity got the better of him, and he found himself wondering if she was an actress or a model. He reached out a hand to touch her cheek, but before he could make contact, her eyes snapped open.
