THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 101 – 110

As she arrived at the palace, she was greeted by Epusa’s cold gaze.

“I hope you come here with good news,” Epusa said, standing up from her throne.

“Do you bring your sister’s head, just like you brought my daughter?” She asked further.

Benedicta shook her head, “I couldn’t do that,” she said. “Something came up.” She said.

“About that, I sense Lucan’s power last night. It was coming from your school.” Epusa said.

Benedicta’s eyes widened in surprise. “That means my suspicion is right, then. I might have found Lucan.” She said.

Epusa’s face lit up with excitement. “What? Where is he? You should have brought him.” She asked.

Benedicta hesitated, unsure of how much to reveal. “This is just an assumption. I am still going to check for the mark. It’s supposed to be on his back, right?” she asked, looking at Epusa for confirmation.

Epusa nodded, “Yes, that’s right.”

Benedicta took a deep breath before speaking.

“I want to change the deal we have,” she said body.

Epusa raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean?” She asked while coming closer to him.

Benedicta’s eyes locked onto Epusa’s. “If I bring Lucan to you, I want to be his queen, reigning beside him.” She said.

Epusa’s face twisted with anger, but then she nodded. “Do as you please.”

Benedicta smiled, feeling a sense of triumph.

“What if the Lucan is close to my sister?” she asked.

Epusa’s expression turned cold. “That can never happen. You should do anything to stop that. They must not be close or have intimate relations. That could ruin our plan.” She said.

Benedicta’s eyes narrowed, her mind racing with possibilities. “I won’t allow that to happen,” she said.

“I will do my confirmation as soon as possible, and once it’s done, I will bring him.” She said.

Epusa nodded, a satisfied smile spreading across her face. “Good.”

As Benedicta turned to leave, Epusa’s voice stopped her. “What about the stone? It’s one of our family’s inheritance.”

Benedicta shrugged, “The stone is gone.” She said.

Epusa’s eyes widened in surprise, her face pale. “How is that possible?” she asked, her voice trembling with rage. The stone was one of the strongest objects the family possessed.

Benedicta shrugged again, “I don’t know.maybe you are wrong” she said and left with Epusa glaring at her back.

Mistress Morwen was about to leave her office when she suddenly felt a presence behind her. She turned, and her eyes widened in surprise as she saw the Nightshade elders standing before her. They were respectable people, known for their wisdom and power.

Mistress Morwen bowed her head in respect, her heart racing with anticipation. “Elders,” she said, her voice barely above a whisper. “What brings you here?”

One of the elders stepped forward, his eyes piercing as he spoke. “We sense Lucan’s energy in your school last night.”
