THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 11 – 20
As she floated in the air, Maledicta’s eyes finally snapped open. She gazed around the room, her eyes adjusting to the dim light. The water droplets slowly descended back to the bowl, and Maledicta’s body gently sank back onto the bed.
She sat up, her eyes fixed on some point in front of her.
“I have my powers now,” she muttered to herself.
“I didn’t lose them. So why can’t I do anything to him?” She wondered.
She thought back to the way Kaiden had grabbed her arm, the way he had carried her out of the dining hall. She had been powerless in his grasp, unable to use her powers to defend herself.
Maledicta’s eyes narrowed, her mind racing with questions. What was it about Kaiden that made her so vulnerable? And why had she been drawn to the dining hall this morning?
Just as she was starting to ponder these questions, a voice whispered in her head.
“To the training ground.”
Maledicta’s eyes snapped open, her heart racing with anticipation. It was the voice again, the one that guide her to the dinning hall this morning.
She threw off the covers and stood up, her eyes fixed on some point in front of her.
“Does that mean he’s there too?” she muttered to herself.
“Something is wrong with me,” she muttered to herself. “Something weird.”
She closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she tried to calm her racing thoughts. But the voice in her head was still whispering, still guiding her towards the training ground. She try her best to ignore it.

Kaiden’s eyes widened as he gazed around the training ground. Everything about this place was just amazing. The traditional equipment, the students training with precision and skill, it all seemed so fascinating.
He couldn’t wait to try it out for himself. He watched as some students sparred with each other, their movements swift and deadly. Others were practicing their archery skills, their arrows flying straight and true.
Kaiden felt a pang of envy. He wished he could be one of them, training and honing his skills alongside these talented students.
As he stood there, some girls started waving at him, their faces breaking out into giggles. Kaiden’s face flushed with embarrassment, but he couldn’t help feeling a sense of pride.
He had never been the center of attention before, and it felt strange but exhilarating.
Ryder, who had been quiet until now, spoke up. “Come on, Kaiden. Let’s go find a senior to train you.”
But before they could move, someone stepped in front of them, blocking their path.
“What are you doing here?” Cassius growled, his eyes narrowing at Kaiden.
Kaiden smiled, “I’m here to train, just like everyone else.” He said.
“You think you can train with us? You’re just a human.”Cassius snorted.
Kaiden felt a surge of anger, but before he could respond, Belladonna spoke up.
“Come on, Cassius, let him do what he wants,” she said, her voice smooth as silk.
“I won’t let him embarrass himself,” Cassius snapped.
“He has to learn something, at least he should know how to use a sword when the time comes.” Lilith said.
Cassius scowled, but eventually nodded. “Fine. But he’s going to have to prove himself.”
And with that, he turned and walked away, leaving Kaiden feeling confused.
The other students began to train, their movements swift and deadly. Kaiden watched, trying to learn from them, but he couldn’t help feeling like an outsider. He wish he have super power like them too.
Cassius reappeared, a sword in his hand. “You can’t just stand there doing nothing,” he sneered. “You have to prove yourself.”
And with that, he threw the sword at Kaiden, who caught it awkwardly, his hand shaking.
Cassius gestured to a boy standing nearby.
“Battle with him. He’s the weakest in our school.” He smirk.
