THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 111 – 120

Benedicta entered the coven, her eyes fixed on the ground. She was feeling a little nervous, her hands trembling slightly as she clasped them together.

Queen Epusa looked up from her throne, her eyes narrowing as she took in Benedicta’s empty-handed appearance.

“Why are you here empty-handed?” she asked, her voice cold and menacing. “I thought you promised to bring him yesterday.”

Benedicta swallowed hard, trying to explain. “I’m so sorry, my plan failed again. And now I couldn’t even go to school because everyone knows I came here to see you. I’m just grateful they didn’t know why I came here, because my mom is also looking for Lucan.” She said.

Epusa’s expression turned alarmed. “Why is your mom looking for him?” she asked, her voice rising.

Benedicta hesitated before answering. “Because she figured out that he didn’t die. Now they want to kill him before he gets his powers back.” She said.

Epusa’s face turned pale, and she looked like she was about to faint.

“Now this is more dangerous,” she muttered.

“Are you giving up because they’ve found out about you?” She asked after some minute.

Benedicta shook her head, determination etched on her face. “Who says I’m giving up? I’ll take on my invisible form and check the school. I’ll bring Lucan here, I promise.”

Epusa raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. “How can I trust you? You’ve said that more than twice, but I haven’t seen him here.” She said.

Benedicta’s eyes flashed with anger, but she kept her cool.

“Mark my word, if I don’t come here without him, you have the right to do whatever you want with me. But if I bring him here, you’re still going to follow our deal.” She said.

Epusa’s expression turned cold, and she nodded. “I will.” She muttered.

Benedicta’s eyes narrowed. “Don’t go back on your word.” She said.

With that, she vanished into thin air, leaving Epusa alone in the coven.

Epusa burst into laughter, her eyes gleaming with amusement.

“Her cruel fate has started manifesting,” she said, her voice dripping with malice. “I see a little of her father in her, which is good.”

She leaned back in her throne, a calculating look on her face.

“Benedicta thinks she’s in control, but she has no idea what’s coming. Her fate is already sealed, and soon she’ll be nothing but a pawn in my game.” She thought.

Epusa’s laughter echoed through the coven, sending shivers down the spines of the demons who were watching from the shadows. They knew that when Epusa laughed like that, it was never a good sign.

“What are you still doing here? It’s late already,” Ryder said, standing beside Kaiden, who hadn’t moved or left the spot since he arrived.

“She will soon open the door, I’m sure of it,” Kaiden said, his smile weak but determined.

Ryder sighed. “Kaiden, you haven’t eaten since morning. You should eat something.” He said.

Kaiden looked up, and Ryder handed him a big red apple. Kaiden took it quickly and started munching on it hungrily.

“Look at you, you shouldn’t suffer yourself,” Ryder said, shaking his head. “I know by tomorrow, she’ll come around.”
