THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 41 – 50
Mistress Morwen smiled, her eyes shining with happiness. “Follow me, I have somewhere to show you.”
Maledicta followed her mother, looking around at the beautiful house. She couldn’t believe this was her family’s house, and she had never been there before.
They entered a beautiful room, filled with intricate furnishings and delicate decorations. Maledicta’s eyes widened in surprise as she took in the sight.
“I’ve made this room for you since you were born,” Mistress Morwen said, her voice filled with emotion.
“I didn’t know a day like this would come when you would finally be able to sleep in it.” She added with a smile.
Maledicta scoffed, feeling a little embarrassed by her mother’s display of emotion.
“Are you that happy about it?” She asked.
Mistress Morwen nodded, her eyes shining with tears. “You can’t understand. I’ve really been waiting all my life. I could give you a golden pill to help you blend in, because you have to disguise yourself.” She said.
Maledicta shook her head. “Don’t worry, mum, I can take care of myself.”
Mistress Morwen hugged her again, holding her tightly.
“Thank you very much for coming and making this year the happiest in my life.” She said.
Maledicta hugged her mother back, feeling a little weird. This was the first time she had ever hugged her mother, and it kind of felt nice.
As they hugged, Benedicta entered the mansion, her eyes scanning the room for any signs of life. She spotted the light on in Mistress Morwen’s room and headed towards it, curious about what was going on.
But as she approached the room, she was surprised to see Maledicta and Mistress Morwen hugging. The surprise quickly turned to anger, and Benedicta stormed off to her own room, slamming the door behind her.
She scattered everything in her room, her anger and frustration boiling over. She lay on the bed while breathing heavily in anger.

THE DAY
Mistress Morwen’s eyes sparkled with delight as she gazed at Maledicta.
“You look so pretty, dear,” she said, her voice warm with affection.
Maledicta’s expression turned icy, and she quickly covered her face with a facemask. Her hair was also hidden beneath a hood, but despite her efforts to conceal herself, she still looked breathtakingly beautiful.
“Stop saying that, I don’t want to hear it,” Maledicta muttered.
Benedicta’s smile was wide and fake as she hugged Maledicta tightly.
“Sister, I’m sure you’re going to have a lot of fun today,” she said.
Maledicta quickly released herself from Benedicta’s grasp and moved away, her eyes flashing with annoyance.
“Where are we going first?” Maledicta turned to her mother, her voice neutral.
“To the palace, to recieve the first blessing. Then we’ll move to the streets. Have fun, because I won’t be around.” She said.
Benedicta’s face fell, and she pouted cutely. “But why, Mum?”
“Something mysterious attacked some children last night. We have to find out what it is. You two should have fun.” Mistress Morwen said.
With that, Mistress Morwen turned and left, leaving Benedicta and Maledicta to make their way to the palace.
The palace was a riot of color and sound, with people laughing and chatting as they made their way to the grand hall. Kaiden’s eyes widened in awe as he took in the sights and sounds.
“I like this place, it’s beautiful,” he said, his voice full of wonder.
“We’re just getting started. I’m sure you’re going to love it.”Ryder grinned while looking around maybe he will see Aka.
