THE MISTRESS’ DAUGHTER : CHAPTER 71 – 80
Maledicta woke up beside Kaiden, feeling a sense of surprise and wonder. Her body was healed, the pain and weakness from the previous day’s events completely gone. It was as if spending time with Kaiden had somehow healed her, body and soul.
But as she sat up, she realized that Kaiden was nowhere to be found. She looked around, confused, and that was when she saw the note on the bedside table. “Had to take care of something. Will be back soon. -Kaiden”
She also had more pressing matters to attend to.
Like Benedicta.
Maledicta disappeared from the room, reappearing in front of Benedicta, who was sitting under a tree in the forest. Benedicta’s eyes widened in surprise as she saw Maledicta, and she tried to scramble to her feet, but Maledicta was too quick.
Maledicta caught Benedicta’s arm and threw her against the tree trunk. Benedicta groaned, stumbling to the ground, but she quickly scrambled to her feet, her eyes blazing with anger.
“You think you can just attack me?” Benedicta spat, her hand reaching into her pocket for a knife.
But Maledicta was ready for her. She caught Benedicta’s fist and twisted her hand, making Benedicta cry out in pain.
“You know, I’ve been trying to tolerate you because of our mum,” Maledicta said, her voice cold and detached.
“I didn’t want her to know the type of person you are. I didn’t want her to be sad. But I don’t think I can do that anymore.” She added.
Benedicta’s face twisted with rage. “Shut up, bastard!” she yelled, trying to stab Maledicta in the heart.
But Maledicta was too quick. She caught the knife and slapped Benedicta hard across the face, making her stumble backward. Benedicta’s nose started bleeding immediately, and she glared at Maledicta with pure hatred.
“This should be the last time you find trouble with me,” Maledicta warned, her eyes flashing with anger.
“Or else everyone will know who you truly are.” She said.
With that, Maledicta turned and walked away, leaving Benedicta seething with anger and humiliation. Benedicta remained on the ground, her eyes blazing with fury as she wiped the blood from her nose.

Benedicta was going to her room, she had healed herself and was just returning from the forest. She suddenly saw Kaiden.
“Are you okay?” He asked worriedly.
“Yeah” she muttered.
“I hear you saved me, thank you so much” Kaiden said.
“It’s nothing, I couldn’t watch when you are in pain, we are friends remember” she said with a smile.
“You are the greatest friend ever” Kaiden said.
Benedicta suddenly saw Maledicta approaching, and smiled to herself, She suddenly clutched her stomach and fell to the ground.
“Are you okay?” Kaiden asked worriedly.
“I am not, I think the poison is still affecting me a little” she said with a fake cry.
Kaiden was about to touch her when he heard another cry behind him. He turned and was shocked to see Maledicta on the ground too.
“Kaiden, my hand and leg hurt” Maledicta cried with a cute pout.
Without thinking twice, Kaiden rushed to her side, ignoring Benedicta, who was still on the ground.
“Where is it hurting you?” Kaiden asked worriedly while checking her body.
“It hurts all over, I think I need perfect rest, take me to your room” Maledicta said.
Kaiden scooped her up in a bridal style and she immediately wrap her arm around his neck.
Maledicta smirked at Benedicta, who was still on the ground, as Kaiden took her away.
