KYROS’ OFFICE*
Kyros turned the moment the door opened, instantly got disappointed to see Dilara and not Diora as expected.
“Sir, here are the files you requested for” She said.
“Yeah, drop it and leave” Kyros responded and checked the time.
“She should be here by now” He mumbled against his teeth.
Dilara went out of the office while Kyros went back into pacing around slowly.
Some minutes later, the door opened again and he turned. This time it was Diora’s small self that came in, she smiled and immediately ran over to him like a little kid.
Kyros opened up his arms for her to hug him freely, lifting her up in the process.
“I missed you” She pouted.
“Really?” Kyros placed her back on the floor and she nodded with a cute pout.
Kyros smiled and caress her hair then kissed her forehead.
“Lunch?” He asked.
“Yeah, I ate with my friends after class” She replied.
“So, why are you here?” Kyros asked as they both sat down on the couch, she sat on his laps.
“Oh. I got this” She placed the note on Kyros palm and he opened it with a light frown on his face.
“What’s this?” He asked before reading it.
“They want me to come over for dinner, tonight. They were supposed to give me yesterday” Diora told him.
“So…” He looked at her.
“You’re going?” He asked.
“That’s why I’m here, can I go?”
“You think I’m gonna stop you from going to visit your family?” Kyros raised his brows.
Diora said nothing.
“Things are not done that way sweetheart, you can go of course. You just have to be careful” Kyros said.
She smiled and hugged him.
“Honestly…” She started, her breath hitting Kyros neck.
“I’m nervous” She muttered.
“Why?”
“Because I don’t know why they suddenly want me over there. They literally pushed me out of the house that day, I was pleading but it was as if they sold me out, it hurts. I felt hurt”
Kyros broke the hug and touched her cheek.
“So…after you met me, was your thought changed?” He asked.
Diora immediately nodded.
“You didn’t treat me bad like I had thought, you treated me right. You even registered me to a school, I’ve never imagined myself going to college. But not just a college, an expensive one, I owe you a lot….”
“Sshhh” Kyros placed a finger on her lips.
“You don’t owe me anything, I’m your husband” He said.
Diora smiled and hugged him again.
“Don’t you think you should start going now? It’s evening already, and I don’t want you to sleep over there.
