NEXT DAY, A COFFEE CAFÉ*
All eyes fell on Kyros as he entered the café, he ignored the mumurs while eye searching for Alfred, and he found him.
“Dude I’ve been waiting since forever” Alfred said as Kyros sat down.
“Lot of works in the office, sorry” Kyros said.
A waitress came over to get his coffee order which he gave right away and she left.
“So you were saying something about Diego” Alfred said after Kyros got his coffee.
“He’s after Diora” Kyros said.
Alfred laughed.
“Is he in love with death?” He asked.
“Bet he is” Kyros agreed.
“So that old man is yet to give up on being the duke? Is he crazy? He doesn’t even deserve it” Alfred said.
“But I actually don’t want the position either” Kyros said.
Alfred stared at him blankly.
“Don’t tell me it’s what I’m thinking”
“No and yes, Diego can’t touch Diora” Kyros said with full confidence screaming in his tone.
“I mean, he wouldn’t dare” He added.
“I know, so now what’s your worries about?” Alfred asked.
“I just, don’t want this kind of life for her” Kyros sighed.
“This kind of life…you mean??” Alfred raised his brows.
“Having to protect her every moves, she can’t even go out without a bodyguard.
I hate myself for that, she never had the freedom in her parents house, I know there are things she wants to do right now, but because I need to protect her,I can’t let her” Kyros sighed.
Alfred only smiled.
“Why smiling? I’m not joking here” Kyros said.
“You are in love with her, have you told her?” Alfred asked.
“That doesn’t matter right now…”
“Of course it matters, you should tell her and stop acting like a wolf” Alfred groaned.
“I need to focus on her safety first” Kyros said.
“Nothing is going to happen to her, if Diego touch her, personally I will get the King’s order to have him killed.
You don’t even have to do anything, she’s my little shortie anyway” Alfred said.
“I’m not worried about her getting hurt, I’m worried about her being scared on her own. I don’t want her to be afraid whenever I’m not there, I just…gosh” Kyros sighed.
“Whatever decision you make, I will support you no matter what. So think about it” Alfred told him.
