CHAPTER 21 & 22
BREATHLESS
His question hung in the air, as silence rented the place. One could hear a pin drop.
Cassius had went to bring Dylan’s favorite cookies as an extra snacks for his lunch. Just a moment of leaving his son, he met a bastard spilled out nonsense to him. The fucking Nathan Redmond, a man he waited to cross one day.
‘I found my fiancee cheating right on my wedding, he humiliated me and I had to leave the country just go avoid my father’s wrath..’
Tatiana’s words echoed in his head and his anger added. This man had the guts to approach his son, and the darn school allowed it? What if he hadn’t come back?
“Mister.. uhm I guess this was a misunderstanding–”
“Misunderstanding?” Cassius’s voice cut the headmaster’s words off. “If this man was to take the little boy away, I’m quite sure you would allow that, wouldn’t you?”
His question made the Headmaster swallowed knowing he was right. He glanced over Nathan, as if waiting for explanation.
Even with half of his face covered, Nathan could see the resemblance, those blue eyes Dylan posseses was from the man. Nathan does have one, same goes for Tatiana.
So definitely, Tatiana slept with another man, or maybe cheating on her with another. But at the moment, he knew he can’t offend this man yet, without knowing his identity.
“I’m sorry if I had offended you. Like Mr. Harper had said, this was a slight misunderstanding, my Ex–” Nathan stopped talking when the man began to approach him.
“Continue” He demanded and Nathan tried to compose himself.
“I didn’t mean to offend you” Nathan changed the words he wanted to say.
Cassuis stood tall, his height slightly overshadowing Nathan. Nathan still couldn’t figure who this man was. He retrained himself from pulling down the mask that cover his identity.
But he dares not!
“The next time I see you around him again, Nathan Redmond I would drown you into the pit of hell” Cassuis warned in a cold low voice.
“However, your action prove to me that this school is worthless” he looked at the headmaster, who broke into a cold sweat. “Or maybe it has the wrong people in charge. My son won’t attend this school again and I’ll withdraw my support here”
Cassuis spun around and carried Dylan swiftly to broad chest, the boy clung his tiny hands around his neck, as they left the place.
Cassius made a call, which only last for a few seconds as he approached his Lamborghini with Dylan.
The headmaster’s phone rang and as he picked call, his eyes widened every seconds. He dashed out of the school in search for Cassuis, but his car left already.
The call said the school just went bankrupt because of his action…
Nathan who saw this was stun.
Who was that man?!

UNDER HIS INFLUENCE : CHAPTER 21 – 30
The movie project would be starting the next day and director Felix had grown fond with Tatiana. He even took some of her advice, and change a few stratedy of his, in which he found stunning.
“You should be a director too, don’t you think? I have a lot of people to help yunno” Director Felix mentioned as they went to have lunch together.
“That would be a whole lot of stress. Thank you but I’ll stick with what I know the best. An actress”
Felix nodded. “I’m always here if you need my help”
After chatting with him, Tatiana exhaled. ‘What an hectic day’. Time to see Maya and by evening, she would see Dylan.
“Tatiana” a voice sounded behind her and she spun to see Indigo with her assistant.
“Hi” Tatiana smiled briefly.
“I had a shoot around this area and just finished” Indigo explained as she stepped closer.
“Oh, how did it go?”
“Stressful. I might grow a year older if this continues. I’m free throughout this week and I’m definitely sleeping like a baby” She chuckled.
Tatiana chuckled.
“Are you free, can we go get a drink to together as a friend. I’d like to know you more”
This time, Tatiana’s smile slowly faded. Friend? That doesn’t sounds right to her hearing. Deep down, she knew Indigo’s approach towards her had a motive.
Indigo mentioned she was the only woman close to Cassius, probably wondering why Cassius was around her recently.
“I’m afraid I’ll decline” Tatiana said politely and Indigo’s face dropped a little.
“Why? Are you busy?” She asked.
“Yes, I am. Sorry” Tatiana would have decline the invite even if she doesn’t have anything to do.
“Okay, maybe next time then”
“Maybe, that’s if you want it next time” Tatiana responded, having an underlying meaning to her word. “I’ll be leaving”
As Tatiana left, Indigo cheerful gaze was replaced with curiosity. Her phone buzz, shattering her thought. A swift small spread across her lips sighting Cassius’s name.
“Hello hubby?” She answered, excitement evicted in her voice.
“Come over Indigo, we need to talk” Cassuis’s cold voice sounded on the other side and ended before Indigo could respond.
“That cold punk, but I love him” She chuckled and spun to meet her assistant. “Take me to King Company”

Cassius gaze was unreadable as his mind dwell on what he was about to do. He had took Dylan back to the mansion, in care of the maids and asked Hudson to prepare a slot in a school he own. Dylan would start tomorrow.
He planned not to take long at work today, he needed to see Indigo and settle things with her before heading back to the mansion.
In a few minutes, Indigo stepped into the office, her mood bright just in the sight of him.
Sensing her prescence, Cassuis turned to face her. His face didn’t loosen like it use to.
“What a pleasant call, Cash, can’t you be a little bit more romantic?” She asked playfully as she stood before him.
The serious look on his face affected the atmosphere and Indigo knew something was wrong.
“What’s wrong?” She asked lightly and noticed his jaw clinched.
“Remember what I told you when I asked you to engage with me?” He asked and watched her eyes flickered with confusion.
“Yeah? You said you don’t feel the same way as me and that you’re getting married to me because of your mother’s wish. I told you I’m fine if you don’t feel the same way. My love will bring out yours. Your mother said we are made for each other, and I’m sure she’ll be thrilled when she wakes up and find a wedding invitations from us” She grinned but it slowly faded at his next question.
“And what else did I tell you?”
“You said, the engagement might cut off anytime but it’ll be for a crucial reason and–” Indigo paused and her brow creased. “Cash you’re not thinking of ending this, are you?”
He stared at her silently, which gave her the answer.
“The whole world knows we are getting married, you can’t just call it off? For what exactly?”
“That was why I asked you to keep it exclusive Indigo. You should have obeyed”
“I did that because I would never give you a reason to throw me away. I’ve been waiting years for this Cash–” Indigo’s voice eyes brimmed with tears.
“You deserve someone who loves you Indigo and that person is not me. I have other reasons and I really can’t do this, I don’t want to hurt you–”
“But you did! You’re currently tearing my heart apart right now. What is the reason? At least tell me” She inquired and Cassius sighed.
“The woman of that night bare me a son” Cassius responded and guage at her expression. A tear slowly fell out of her eyes. “Like I said you deserve someone who worth your love Indigo. I’m sorry if I had hurt you”
“Do you like her?” She asked.
“That’s not the point here”
“It doesn’t matter. If you’re accepting the child, once we get married I’ll treat him like my own–”
“Indigo” He cut in, his voice lacing with a slight anger.
“Please Cash, please. I can’t lose you. I know you warned me about this day but I can’t. Don’t, please” She shook her head. “Please”
Cassius gaze didn’t soften, guilt flashed in his eyes but he had warned her. She suddenly wiped her tears and sniffed.
Shaking her head, she clinched her jaw. “I hate you”. She dashed out of the office afterward.
Hudson came in afterward with a worried look. He immediately understood the situation meeting Cassius gaze.
“Will she be alright?” Cassius asked him. Indigo is his childhood friend who helped him and he felt guilty for hurting her, but he had no choice.
“She will, with time. At least you were true to her. I know she’ll understand” Hudson said, soothning the heaviness of his chest a little.
“And Nathan Redmond?” Cassius gaze returned serious.

Maya smiled as she watched Tatiana step in. Her bruises was slowly fading as she was responding to her treatment fast.
“Tatie” She grinned.
“Hey” Tatiana hugged her briefly and sat before her.
“I can’t thank you enough Tatie” Maya voice croaked.
“Are you going to cry? C’mon that’s over”
“Jojo told me how he lost his dick” Maya said and the both laughed, same with Jolene who stood behind Tatiana.
“How are you feeling?” Tatiana asked.
“Just a few pain here and there but the doctor said I’ll be completely fine soon. I’m glad I’m out of that hell” Maya eyes teared up with joy.
“I’m glad too. I’ve make sure that bastard rots in jail” Tatiana assured.
“Did you hear anything from father?”
“No, I don’t think he even care about us and we don’t either. We are free now, we’re not in his stupid rules any more”
Maya nodded and her face turned serious. “About Issabella–”
“A man named Zero, I heard Mason mentioning Issabella’s while talking to him that night before Issabella’s death. They are quite acquainted, and I heard he is crazily dangerous. He deals with a lot of dangerous things in the entertainment world, and only act on order after being paid a lot. That was why I couldn’t tell you when you asked, the man is really dangerous–”
“So someone paid this man called Zero to order his men to tranished Isabella’s image. What did you hear exactly?” Tatiana asked.
“Mason said ‘Isabella is just as foolish as her sisters, Zero. I wonder who she had offended’. That was all I heard before he noticed my presence. Mason warned me that night never to speak of it or to anyone”
Tatiana clinched her jaw. ‘Zero’ that name stick in her head. That would be dangerous but she would turn the world upside down if that’s what it takes to hunt down those who killed her sister.
As Tatiana drove to Cassius’s mansion, Maya’s word echoed in her head. She’ll have to talk to Mason first, maybe he’ll tell her the truth.
“Mum!” Dylan rushed to hug her immediately he sighted her.
Tatiana poured kisses on him and asked about his day.
“Where’s is Mr. King?” Tatiana asked the butler.
“Master is asleep” the man replied.
It was evening already and he is asleep, is he okay?
“Mum, I missed your chicken parmesan. Uncle Conrad made it last night it wasn’t near yours” Dylan said and Tatiana glanced back at butler Conrad go smiled in return.
“Then I’ll make one for you tonight” Tatiana said and Dylan jumped excitedly.
Soon, Tatiana wore an apron around her waist making the meal. Her moves were professional as she added every ingredients carefully.
Butler Conrad who was helping her couldn’t help but compliment her.
Soon, Dylan stomach growled at the sight of the meal, his mouth hung in the air as he wondered where to started.
“Thanks mom” He chuckled and began to dig in.
Tatiana caught the sight of Cassuis, descending the stairs, his tired look was replaced with, surprise sighting her. He looked at the butler who immediately explained himself.
“Ma’am insisted not to disturb you sleep master”
Sighing, he approached Tatiana whose gaze remained in him.
“You could could have inform me you were coming” He stated, taking his seat. The meal before Dylan shows she had been here for a while.
“I prepared yours” Tatiana slide his meal to him.
“I didn’t ask you. I’m not hungry”
Tatiana simply drew the meal back to herself and opened it. “Woo, it’s going to be so good in my belly” she looked at Dylan and they both chuckled.
“Huh? I thought you said it’s mine” Cassuis raised a brow.
“You said you’re not hungry” Tatiana retorted.
“I never said I won’t eat. It’s obvious you do not plan to give me that…”
“I knew you’ll reject it”
“How sweet of you Little– uhm” he paused and glanced over Dylan.
“Mom has a title too? What is it?”
Tatiana slowly looked back at Cassius wondering what he would say.
“Little– dove” He said and Tatiana blinked. “Your mother is a calm lovingly woman, like a dove”
“That’s sweet but mother isn’t calm all the time. She had once broken a nose of a man who insulted me” Dylan said and Cassuis blinked.
“Dylan, don’t talk while eating remember?” Tatiana said lightly then asked the butler to bring Cassuis own share of food.
Recieving it, Cassius stomach growled at the sight, he saw the smirked on Tatiana’s face before eating hers.
The dinner went smoothly, Dylan and Cassuis had ate more after one plate and Tatiana couldn’t help but wonder how these two were so similar.
She was slightly Jealous Dylan took most of his features from Cassius.
Dylan fell asleep in her arms while Cassuis only watch in silence. The maid took the sleeping boy in his room and Tatiana set to leave.
“Where are you going little Rebel?” He asked, back to his usual self.
“Home” Tatiana rolled her eyes.
“It’s 11pm”
“Still not late”
“Stay”
“No thank you” She began to leave and the man caught her in three strides. “What?”
“Why must you be so disobedient whenever I try to act nice? Why can’t you stay? The road is dangerous at night, and the rain will fall heavily in a minute”
“I’ll be fine” She said stubbornly and got out of the mansion.
The thunder roared and she halt. The rain began to fall heavily without warning. It was so bad it forced her back into the mansion, all drenched.
She sighted Cassuis with his hand folded like he had been waiting for her.
“Are you a wizard or something?” She asked squeezing the water from her shirt.
“You’re just a witch who doesn’t listen, little Rebel”
“Asswipe” Tatiana whispered under her breath but the man heard it.
“What did you just say?” He asked stepping closer. She swallowed wondering if he really heard her.
“Nothing” she shook her head avoiding his gaze. He shifted closer leaving no space between, as he trapped her in-between the door and himself.
First she disobeyed and now she lied.
Tatiana barely reached his shoulder, as his height overcome hers.
“Lie again and I’ll make you breathless until tears creep out of your eyes. What did you say?” He asked again.
‘What’s the worst he can do?’ Tatiana thought and stubbornly replied. “Nothing”
With swift movement, grabbed her neck and crashed his lips so hard on hers…
With the aim of making her breathless!..
