A MONTH LATER
Things are back to normal, the family are living in harmony though they still can’t forget their father’s death but that is part of the things that give them strength, in a few days the company will be handed over to Noah and Nicholas and they have prepared well for it. The family lawyer had shown them their family will and they are more than satisfied with it.
Now they have set some new rules, they eat both breakfast and dinner together everyday, they also have fun together especially during weekends, no one is permitted to hide any secret, you have to share your problem with the family.
Today Mrs Theresa Everest and Dennis were taken to court and the final judgment was life imprisonment. A lot of people weren’t satisfied with the judgment because they think they deserve immediate execution.
Nicholas and Brielle refuse to see her though she begged for their visit, they were still terrified with the fact that she also planned to kill them with the family. She looks terrible because she gets beaten on a daily basis due to her arrogance and the way she speaks. After the final judgment, she was led back into the prison, she and Dennis didn’t exchange a single glance, they are both confused.
The moment she joined her inmates they started laughing in mockery.
“Seems like Mrs wealthy will be spending the rest of her life here” a woman with piercings all over her body said and they all laughed, she didn’t say anything, she just lay down quietly.
“You always say you can’t last a week here, but it’s more than a month,so who is going to save you now?” A woman with tattoos said. She still doesn’t respond.
“Wow dog has finally gotten Mrs wealthy voice, I can’t believe she could be this quiet” the woman with piercing said. And all the inmates laugh.
“If you want to survive in this prison, better know your place and come down or else, you will be dead before a year” the tallest woman said, she looks like the leader in the prison, she looks very dangerous too.
Mrs Everest ignored her and carried the book that they kept for them in case they had anything to write, then she went to the bathroom.
“Did she just walk out on me, she will regret it the moment she came out” a lady shouted loudly.

“If I am rich like you, I will never have become so greedy, I would have been happy. I was in jail because I stole from my boss to pay my son’s hospital bills, he was very sick and I have nothing with me” Mrs Everest remembered the words of one of the inmates. She has everything, more than enough money, she is not doing any work but she is still enjoying it but then greed enters, to the extent that she plans to kill her children.
She started writing apology letter to her children, telling them to forgive her for everything she has done, for how she has been the worst mother to them, she is regretting it now though it was too late. She also wish all the Everest’s family will forgive her too though she didn’t deserve their forgiveness.
After concluding the letter, she keep it at a side them use the pen to stab herself in the neck, blood begin to gush out of her neck and mouth.
“I am sorry” she said and smiled sadly before taking her last breath.
“What the hell is Mrs wealthy doing in the bathroom, it’s more than an hour before my bladder will burst” an inmate yelled and knocked on the door loudly but no response came.
Their leader pushed her back and kicked the door, after like five kicks the door finally opened and she went in.
“Mrs wealthy, what the hell are you doing?” She asked and touched her but she immediately fell from the toilet seat.
“Sh*t” she cursed after seeing the pen that was stuck to her neck. Others came to watch until the cops came around to see.

“How are you feeling?” Noah asked Nicholas, it was time for the company to be handed to them.
“Confused, I don’t even know,” Nicholas said while looking at his mum’s letter.
“We could postpone it if you are not ready, I know you just lost your mum and that is pretty sad” Noah said.
“I am okay, she deserves whatever happens to her, she kills dad and renders us fatherless so she totally deserves it” Nicholas said.
“Should we go now then?” Noah asked.
“Sure” Nicholas said and adjusted his tuxedo, they smiled at each other before driving to the company.
All their shareholders are present and they can’t stop admiring the two brothers as they appear at the board meeting, they all stand up to greet them in respect. The people that are managing all their companies all over the countries are present, they get to know them and know about the growth of the companies and all are doing well so far. The managers are impressed by the brothers’ smartness, which they get from their father, and they admire how they do things together because in the rumors, it shows the brothers are like enemies so it’s a great shock seeing them doing things together.
They will manage the companies together till when their sisters finish school and when their children grow up. They know they can’t suffer anymore because their father has left a lot of properties and companies in their hands, their father is the greatest of all fathers and they will be happy if he is still alive.
They were congratulated by the people as they official be in charge of the Everest’s group of companies and other properties.
“Let’s start from where our daddy stopped and the companies higher, brother” Nicholas said.
“That’s exactly what we are going to do, trust me younger brother” Noah smiled.

“Noah” Adelaide called but no response came.
“Big mouse, I want ice cream” she called again but still no response came. She touched the other side of the bed and it felt cold which means it’s been long since he stood up beside her.
Her eyes snapped open and she looked around the room but he wasn’t there. She stood up laziness, her baby bump showing effortlessly since the pregnancy is nearing five months. This made her baby bump show but she still looked cute, a little bit fat but still cute.
She walked toward the bathroom and opened the door gently but he wasn’t there. She looked really confused. Then where is he? She went to the sitting room but he wasn’t there too. To the guest room, he wasn’t there. She checked Emily’s room, neither him nor Emily were in the room.
“What the heck are they eating breakfast without informing me? ” she thought and scoffed. She went straight to the main mansion. Everywhere look quiet but she didn’t think much of it, she went to the dining room, no one was there, she look confuse and went to the kitchen, no one was there too, not even the maids, she check all the girls room and none of them was in sight, she check Nicholas and Fransisco room, they are not insight too, she went to the maids room and is still the same thing, she was so confused. She doesn’t even know what is going on.
“Maybe they are in dad’s room, they must have missed him and decided to spend time there” she thought and went to the room but nobody was in there.
“Today is Sunday, no work, so where have they gone very early without informing me?” She wondered.
“They can’t go anywhere without informing me. Are they having fun at the beach or the island or is it the cenema? Did something happen to them?” She suddenly gasps and picks her phone, she calls all of them but they are all switched off.
“Something bad has happened to them, let me call the emergency” she said and wanted to dial the number when flowers suddenly poured on her from upstairs, she looked up and saw all of them, they were all smiling.
“Happy birthday” they yelled and poured the flower on her again, she beamed happily as they sick birthday while coming down the stairs.
“I have forgotten that today is my birthday, thank you so much,” she said and smiled. They gave her flowers and she collected them with a smile.
“Happy birthday love” Noah said and turned her around, while she giggled happily.
“We have been planning this for days without your idea, you will enjoy yourself today” Nicholas said.
“I choose your dress, I know you will like it, “ Brielle said.
“I choose your shoes, it’s gonna suit you well” Delaney said.
“I own your face, your makeup will drive everyone crazy “Stacy said.
“And I am styling your hair, you are going to love it” Autumn smiles as they giggle excitedly. The smile on Adelaide’s face suddenly disappeared and she started crying loudly, they all looked at her in shock.
“What’s wrong baby?” Noah asked.
“You guys left me in this mansion, I was so afraid thinking something bad had happened to you guys, you all gave me a heart attack” she cried.
“Mummy we are so sorry, they forced me to do it” Emily said and hugged her.
“We are sorry” they all chorus.

A lot of guests were present at the birthday party as they brought lots of expensive gifts for the celebrant. Adelaide was shocked seeing the latest cars that people are giving to her as a gift, some gave her millions of dollars, a fashion designer five expensive gowns, she was almost in tears because she didn’t know most of the people that are showing her that amount of love.
Noah took her around and introduced her to the guest, the president and his wife were present so they went to greet them.
“Your makeup is on fire, please can you introduce me to the artist” the president’s wife said. Stacy was called forward and she had a smile on her face.
“This is the work of my sister in-law, she is so good at make-up,” Adelaide said.
“Wow miss, you are very young and talented, my daughter’s wedding is coming up, can you help me with her makeup, I will pay you any amount you want” the president’s wife said.
“I will love to,” Stacy smiles excitedly.
“Then I will be waiting “ the president’s wife said and gave her a card, Stacy went to give Nicholas the news and they hugged happily.
The big cake was pushed into their presents and Adelaide was still surprised that she didn’t know when all the preparation was going on.
“How did you guys manage to do all this?” She asked Noah.
“It was all thanks to Stanley,” Noah said. Adelaide looked at Stanley and he smiled at her.
She made her wish and the cake was cut, everyone clapped for her. She was so happy seeing all the love shown toward her by the people.
Delaney sign for the uptempt time, Parker has come with another girl and they have been going everywhere together she doesn’t want to care about it but she can’t stopped looking as they whispered in each other ear and chuckle, she saw them approaching and left the place.
She was about to enter her room when someone suddenly grabbed her hand, she rolled her eyes when she saw Parker.
“Why are you leaving when the party’s not over yet?” He asked.
“Why did you care, you should go and meet your girl, she is pretty by the way” she said with jealousy which made him smile.
“What are you talking about?” He asked.
“You know, you started giving me a face like you are into me and when I started considering you, you showed up with a girl and was showing a public display of affection” she scoffed.
“Oh it’s because of that” he smiled.
“I didn’t know the reason you are smiling because what I said is not funny, if you know you don’t have anything in mind with me, you shouldn’t have…….” The rest of the word disappears as Parker captures her lips in a deep kiss, she is in shock until he slowly pulls away.
“Who says I have found another girl, I am still into you Delaney” he said while holding her cheeks.
“What about that girl?” She asked gently.
“She is my sister, she just follows me here so I have to keep her company” he said.
“Oh” Delaney said and hid her face on his chest because she was embarrassed.
“You are so cute right now, let me introduce you to her” he said and took her away after one last peck.

All the guests have left including Parker’s sister, they plan to have fun so Parker and Dalton stay with them. The boys are in the game house having a lot of fun, while the girls are watching the series in the cinema.
Nicholas and Stacy are having fun in his room, same with Noah and his family, since they have moved to the main mansion so that they can stay with others.
Suddenly the light went off and everywhere was dark, then they started hearing noise in the sitting, everybody managed to use their phone torchlight to come to the sitting room and then the light came back on. They realize they are in the middle of some men, they all have guns in their hands getting ready to shoot them.
They all look shocked looking at the men that are around twenty.
“Who are you? What are you looking for?” Noah mustered up the courage to ask.
“I will do the introduction” a voice said while coming into the room, he was also holding a gun in his hand.
“Stan……ley” Noah called shockingly.
“No no no “
“It’s Brandon, Brandon Dennis and these are my guys,” Stanley said with a wicked smile. Everyone had their mouths open in shock.
