AURORA POV
I was working on my desk when Nina entered looking remorsefully, I wondered what was up with her.
“Why are you looking like this?”. I asked. ” Didn’t Richard satisfy you that night….oh no”.I gasped. “Don’t tell me he is bad in bed?”. I asked curiously and Nina scoffed.
” You are unbelievable, nothing like that happened”. She said.
“Really? Nothing happened between you two that night?”. I asked and she nodded. ” Why?…Don’t tell me you declined when he tried to make the move on you”.
“Not really, after we had dinner, we sat down in the living room watching TV along with a red wine…”.
” And?…”
“I decided to make the move by pushing closer to him at that moment we fell into a deep romance when suddenly his phone rang interrupting our fun, he left to answer the call and I became nervous”. She sighed.
” And then?…”.
“In other to cool my nervousness, I ended up getting myself drunk after emptying the whole bottle of wine and I dozed off”. She said and I laughed.” You think this is funny?”.
“Am sorry, I just couldn’t help it”. I said trying to control my laughter. ” Like seriously!”.
“Yes, do you think I messed up?”.
” Oh come on don’t blame yourself, you didn’t, you were just nervous, that’s why”. I said and she sighed.
“I wanted to feel him at that moment”.
” Aww, so cute, but is never too late, you two can still do it this weekend or probably today”.
“Yeah right”. She stood up to leave.” I will see you later at the canteen”. She walked away and I smiled after her.
Some hours later, it was lunchtime, I stood up to leave when I saw a familiar figure walk in.
“Is my fiance in?”. She asked.
” No, he left for a business meeting and he won’t be back till evening”. I replied to her unlikely.
“That’s not true, Alex would have told me earlier today before leaving the house”.
” Well, he is not”. I said and she stared at me angrily. “Can you please leave, I want to go to the canteen”.
” You can go, am not standing in your way”.
“You will have to leave because I need to lock the door to prevent missing things”.
” Excuse you! What are you implying? That I am a thief? Who the hell do you think you are, this is my fiance’s office and you have no right to order me out”. She retorts and I scoff.
“Like I care”.
” You think you owe Alex to yourself”.
“I don’t think it, I know it, he is not yours and nether will he marry you, just be warned, the skeleton you hid in your closet and you think no one can see it, has already been seen, so, I will advise you to watch your back”. I said and kissed my teeth as I walked away. I could see the surprised look on her face before leaving the office.
I entered the canteen and sat down angrily.
” What up with you?”Nina asked. “I thought you weren’t coming”.
” Yeah, but I got delayed by someone”.
“Who?”.
” Nora, gosh! How I hate her gusts”.
“Did she try to cause trouble?”.
” Yeah, but I put her in her place, she has no shame at all, I wish I could expose her dirty secret to the world”.
“We still need more evidence to prove she is guilty”. Nina sighed. ” But unfortunately the investigator we hired has gone back to his home, there is something urgent he needed to do”.
“At least he made us realize how cruel and wicked Nora was, such a deceiver”.
” We pray, she gets exposed soon”.Nina said and we sighed.

Elizabeth got a call from Spike and they met at the bar.
“Any information?”. She asked.
” Yes, I found something, He has a fiancee and they are planning to get married”. Spike said.
“What?”. she said surprisedly.
” Yes, but it seems is a decision between the both families for their children to get married, I saw something on the net where the engagement was canceled before”.
“Hmm, this sounds like they are been forced to”.
” Yeah, I think so, but right now, the lady is pregnant for him and she is living with him in his house. Her name is Nora Smith and she is the only daughter and of course very spoilt by her parents”.
“She is pregnant? How long?”.
” Two months now”.
“Hmm, but I don’t buy this, what if she is faking the pregnancy just to tie him down with it”.
” Yeah, you might be right, I also saw a news of the lady accusing Alex Secretary of having an affair with him”.
“Did Alex say he was?”.
” There was no such, the news was immediately brought down”.
“I don’t believe this lady, she might be hiding something, we need to investigate her, I can’t let her have Alex”.
” What do we do?”.
“Follow her every move and bring every detail about her to me, understand?”.
” Sure”.

Alex and Richard were at the bar chilling.
“Is that a bite on your neck?”. Richard asked as he saw the mark on his neck. ” Who bit you?”. He looks closer.”That is a love bite, did Aurora do that to you?”.
“Who else could it be, it’s my punishment for allowing another lady’s lipstick on my shirt”. He said and Richard laughed.
” Are you being serious”.
“Yeah”.
” Wow, I like that, I would love to get one on my neck someday”. He said sipping his drink.
“Nina can do that…but speaking of which, how is your relationship with her going? How does it feel to be in a real relationship?”.
” Not a bad one and I am loving every bit of it and I want to take it further”.
“Am so proud of you bro, but have you introduced her to your family?”. Alex asked.
” Just once, but as a friend, but now, I want to make it official”.
“I like the sound of that”.
” I will be inviting her to my family dinner next week”.
“And I know your family will be proud of you for making the right choice, we should cheer to that”. He said and they cheered.
Meanwhile, Nora was in her room pestering around as the words of Aurora kept echoing in her.
” Why will she make such a statement? Does she know anything? Does she suspect anything?”. She grunts and then dials Charles’s number, it rings for a while before it is picked up📞”let’s meet”. There was a pause.”OK, I will meet you there”. She hung up and let out a deep sigh.
An hour later, She arrived at Charles’s house and went inside, meanwhile, Spike had been following her every move.
“Why do you look troubled?”. Charles asked immediately after he saw her enter his bedroom.
“Am worried Charles”. she said as she sat down on the bed. Charles pushed closer to her and wrapped his arms around her.
” Why are you worried? Did something happen? Did anyone find out that you are not pregnant anymore?”. he asked curiously and Nora sighed.
“I just hope not, but I think someone knows something about us, I have been restless, is been a month and some weeks since I lost my baby, am scared of what will happen, I can’t keep pretending, I need to get pregnant again”.
” You are right, but we have been having s!x without protection, I wonder why you have not gotten pregnant like the first time”.
“I seriously don’t know, I guess we need to see the doctor”. She said sadly.
“Sure, I will book an appointment with Dr. tomorrow”.
” Please do, am getting fed up, I need this plan to end once and for all”.
“You don’t have to worry about it, everything will be fine”. He kissed her forehead and cuddled her tight in his arms.
Meanwhile, Spike has been taking a video of them through the window, he ended it and sneaked out. He got to his car and sent the video play to Elizabeth before he zoomed off.
Elizabeth was in her room working on her laptop when a message came through her phone, she paused what she was doing and then opened the message to see it was a video.
” Why did he send a video?”. She questioned and then plugged an earplug to listen to the video play, after a while, a smile curved her face.” Finally, a shred of solid evidence to bring you down and to have Alex to myself”.She laughed mischievously.” Soon he will be mine”.

A week later, Richard brought Nina to the family dinner, and everyone was pleased to meet her except Mrs. Judith.
“Is so good to have you back in our midst”. Ella said.
” Thank you”. She smiles.
“Richard told us what happened to your father, I hope he is better now.”. Mr. Wilson asked.
” Yes sir”
“That’s good to know, we have missed you so much, although my selfish brother of mine refused to give me your contact when I asked him”. Juliana said and Richard scoffed.
” Oh, am sorry about that”.
“Is ok”. They smile at each other and continue eating.
” Son, I still don’t understand why you call this family dinner when Elizabeth is not present here”.Mrs.Judith said unlikely.
“I called Elizabeth, she is on night duty”. He said.
” So, why the dinner?”.
“Ok”. he sighed.” Since Mom is eager to know why I called the family dinner, actually I am going to make an announcement”.
“What announcement?”. Angel asked.
” Well, Nina here is now my girlfriend”. he said and everyone was surprised.
“What?!”. Mrs. Judith said.
” Really son?”. Mr. Wilson asked excitedly.
“Yes, Dad”.
” Wow, I am so proud of you”. he said.
“Finally!”. Juliana said happily.
” Welcome to the family Nina”.Ella said.
“Thank you” ” She smiles bashfully.
“That’s enough!”. Mrs. Judith yelled and everyone turned to her confusedly.
” What is wrong Mom?”.Richard asked as everyone stared confusedly at her including Nina who was feeling uncomfortable.
