Zane looked a bit angry though not for the fact that he might have gotten hurt but for Annalise who had grown a bit fond of Frenchie, a killer
Kai felt same emotion as Zane, he also didn’t want Layla to get hurt
The entire sitting room was quiet, the silence was so deafening that Frenchie fidgeted on the chair sh was on, all eyes were on her
Even though they weren’t going to help her, it felt liberating to get it off her chest
Suddenly Layla walked to Frenchie and hugged her shocking Frenchie, surely this was not the reaction she had expected
“You’re not a monster, that Lex is for keeping you for his bad works, you’re a human who just needed to be found” she said
Layla had a brother too and she knew the feeling of wanting to protect her younger one
“Can I talk to you Zane?” Annalise asked and Zane nodded
They went out and came back few minutes later, Annalise sat down while Zane took Frenchie out along with Gary and Kai
Zane stood straight, he had had his hands in his pocket with a serious face
“You don’t want to work for Lex again right?” He asked and Frenchie nodded
“How about you work for us” he said again and Frenchie stared at him wide eyed
“Whaaa……” She was shocked..

“How about you work for us?” Zane asked and Frenchie stared at him wide eyed
“Whaaa…” She was shocked
Did he just ask if she should work for them?…
“Like continue working as Gary’s secretary, we don’t want Lex hurting you little sis, keep reporting anything you know to him” Zane said
“B… But” Frenchie stuttered, she could not understand what they were saying
“Just as you’ll tell us anything you also know closely about him to us” Kai said
“We’ll also guarantee you your sister’s safety” Zane said again
Frenchie didn’t need to hear anything else apart that, she nodded vigorously
“I’ll do it, thank you so much sir” she kept bowing continuously until they all left her
She felt relieved, as far as her sister was safe she has nothing else to ask for, she immediately went to the room she shared with Layla
Annalise and Layla were seated talking, she immediately hugged both of them
“Thank you, thank you so much”
“Aww you welcome” Annalise said
“It’s alright” Layla said but Frenchie didn’t let go
“Okay too tight” Layla coughed
Frenchie laughed and let them go
“I really appreciate” she said again, she was smiling with tears in her eyes
“You’re still going to work for Gary right?” Annalise asked
“Yes, Mr Zane let me keep working”
“And your sister?” Layla asked
“She’ll be safe, Mr Zane promised” Frenchie replied.
