CHAPTER 82
After few seconds she continued walking, quickly this time and Gary found it hard to keep up
She kept going up the stairs and Gary kept following until suddenly he couldn’t find her when he took the next turn
“What?, Did she just disappear?” Gary thought as he turned if he could find her anywhere
All of a sudden he got pushed to the wall with a knlfe on his neck, it was Frenchie and dmn she looked scary
“Sht what the fk Montero?” He yelled in shock
“Mr Gary?” Frenchie creased her brows before releasing him
“What are you doing here?, Did you follow me?”
“Obviously, what are you doing here?”
“Meeting one of the men that made me loose abs stop following me or I might kill you for real” she snarled and walked out
Gary stood for some minutes before going back downstairs to his car.
Frenchie sighed and fell flat on her bed, she thought about what Gary had said to her earlier in his car and she chuckled
“Loose?, Do I even have time for men?”

“How did it go?” Zane asked
“Good” Gary replied
“Nice” Frenchie replied
They both looked gloomy
“The videos?, Did you make them?” Zane asked Frenchie who nodded
“Yes sir” she brought out her phone and showed the videos to Zane and Kai
“Okay I still do not understand why you two would pair me up with her” Gary said
“I said you two make a great team and I was right” Zane shrugged
Meanwhile Gary and Frenchie glared at each other
“So Frenchie, you can send the videos to Lex” he said and she nodded
“Okay sir”
Kai and Zane left the two
“Frenchie…” Gary trailed
But Frenchie just took her phone and left without a word
“Shit, what was I about to do?” Gary muttered to himself…

Meanwhile Lex stared at his phone in utter shock, his eyes widened and his face turned pale
“T… This” he stuttered
All four of his most powerful partners were all withdrawing?, At the same time
His company was going to be in grave danger, he gritted his teeth hard
“Zane Adler you want it the hard way, you’ll get it the hard way”

“It’s alright, it’s alright” Zane kept muttering and gently pat Annalise back as she puked in the toilet, he held her hair removing it from her face
“Oh God!” Annalise groaned and wiped her lips with the back of her palm
“You good now?” Zane asked soothingly and she nodded, he leaned in and kssed her forehead, hugging her
“Why didn’t you tell me you had fever?” He asked
“I…. I’m sorry” she muttered
“You’re going to the hospital, I’ll take you there” Zane said
“What about work?”
“That can wait”
“But I can go by myself or I’ll call Layla”
“I’m going to prepare your bath angel, get ready” Zane said and left for the bathtub
He came later and assisted her out of her pyjamas and into the bathtub, she m..oaned as the warm water came in contact with her skin and Zane squatted beside her
“When did your fever start?” He asked
“Can’t remember, for like two or more weeks I guess” she replied
“It didn’t seem serious at first until I started puking more frequently”
“Why didn’t you say anything Lisa?” Zane asked frowning
“I’m sorry” she muttered again
She dressed up after she was done with her bath and Zane drove her to the hospital as calling the house doctor didn’t cross his mind
He was about to go in with her when he got a call from Cindy, he was needed at the office
But he didn’t want to leave her alone, it was after much persuasion did he accept to go to the office
“You’re not strong enough princess” Zane said stroking her hair
“I’m fine and I can call Layla to come over and pick me up”
“Are you sure, I can call the driver to come pick you up”
“There’s no need” she shook her head
He finally nodded and took her to the doctor first before leaving but he made her promise she would call Layla
“For the umpteenth time babe yes” Annalise said
“Alright, I’ll trust you on this one” he kssed her lips and forehead before leaving while Annalise turned to the doctor who was waiting patiently
