INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 131 – 140

Adriana smirked, her hands resting on her tiny waist. “You’re absolutely right, Aunt. Ophelia is so stupid to think I’m her daughter. I don’t blame her, though. She raised me until you abducted me from Julio twenty years ago.”
“I gave you the opportunity to taste a good life, Adriana. I only took you from Ophelia because you wouldn’t have been able to carry out the plans I have for the Hernandez family.”
“Fine, I’ll stick to the plan.”
“Good. You’re in that house to pressure them into making you their heiress, not to mope around. Understood?”
“Yes, I understand.”
“Adriana?” Julio called her name from behind. Adriana’s eyes widened in shock. She quickly disconnected the call and turned around, beaming at him.
“Dad!” She rushed to him, holding his hand, acting all innocent and sweet.
“What are you doing outside? It’s late.”
“Sorry about that, Dad. I was talking to a friend of mine from Chicago. She’s a chatterbox and gossips a lot, so I came out here to talk to her,” Adriana lied, but her expression was convincing enough to make Julio believe her.
“You could’ve made the call in your room. No one would disturb you there.”
“It didn’t cross my mind. Back in Chicago, I lived in a tiny house, so I got used to going outside to talk to my friends on the phone,” Adriana said with a cute smile.
“It’s okay, Adriana. You should get some sleep.”
“I will, Dad.” Adriana beamed and walked past Julio, but then she came back, holding his hand.
“Dad,” she called softly, and Julio looked at her.
“I was wondering when you’d make me the heiress of the family’s company. You said you’d make me your heiress and the new owner of Skyline Automobile Company. So, I was just wondering when that will happen.”
Julio stared at Adriana for a moment before speaking. “I’m working on it. Just give me some time.”
“Alright, Dad. Goodnight.” She kissed his cheek, smiling, and went into the house.
Julio watched as Adriana left. Part of him wanted to confront her about the incident with Richard, but after considering Richard’s words, he decided to let it go.
INTO THE DEPTHS OF LOVE : CHAPTER 131 – 140
Dante was busy checking out the new wines he had recently produced when Kristin popped up out of nowhere, startling him.
“Kristin!” He clutched his chest, and Kristin laughed heartily.
“Why’d you scare me like that?” he asked.
“It was supposed to be a surprise. I didn’t think you’d be so easily frightened,” Kristin replied with a grin.
“Is that your idea of a surprise?” Dante asked, and Kristin smiled as she sat on one of the chairs.
Thanks to Richard, Dante now owned his own winery. It was a small business, but Dante had requested it, and Richard hadn’t objected, knowing that’s what his father-in-law wanted.
“So, how’s the business going?” Kristin asked.
“It’s alright. It’s a new venture, so I’m not expecting huge sales yet. Besides, we’re in Las Vegas—there’s plenty of competition.”
“Are you thinking of giving up?” Kristin asked, twirling a wine glass in her hand.
“Giving up isn’t in my vocabulary, Kristin. I was born poor, so I know how hard life can be.”
Kristin smiled.
“Thank you, my child.”
Kristin furrowed her brows. “Why are you thanking me?”
