A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 171 – 180
As the words tumbled out, I could see the disbelief in Lucifer’s eyes. I pressed my hands together, pleading with him, my heart racing. “I was not in my right mind, Lucifer! You have to believe me! It was all a game to him, and I fell for it!”
“Gabriel?” His voice was icy, and I could feel the anger radiating from him. “You’re blaming him for your choices? You think I would accept that excuse?”
“Please,” I begged, desperation clawing at my throat. “I know I’ve hurt you, but I need you to understand! I never meant to betray you. I thought I was protecting myself, but I only ended up hurting the one person I care about the most.”
“hmmm” The words were laced with venom as he stepped forward, towering over me. “You think that’s enough to save you?”
I felt my heart shatter at his words, the truth of them cutting deep. “No, I don’t expect you to forgive me that easily,” I admitted, my voice trembling. “But I’m begging you to give me a chance to make it right. To show you that I want you, not him. I’ve always wanted you!”
His gaze softened for just a moment, and I seized the opportunity. “Lucifer, please. I don’t want to lose you. I can’t bear the thought of you turning away from me. I’ll do anything—anything—to prove my loyalty!”
The silence stretched between us, thick and heavy. I could see the conflict in his eyes, the storm raging within him.
I desperately searched for a flicker of the warmth I once knew, a glimmer of the affection he had shown me before this all unfolded.
“Your actions say otherwise,” he finally replied, his voice a harsh whisper. “You chose him when you knew the consequences. You’ve put yourself in a position where I can’t trust you.”
I shook my head, tears blurring my vision. “No, please! I can’t lose you! I’ll make it up to you. I’ll do whatever it takes!” My words spilled out in a frantic rush, fueled by desperation.
“Whatever it takes?” he repeated, a dark amusement flickering in his eyes. “What does that even mean? You’re willing to do anything, yet you’ve already shown me that your heart can be swayed so easily.”
“I’ll prove it!” I cried, feeling the weight of my desperation pressing down on me. “I’ll confront Gabriel! I’ll make him pay for what he’s done to us! Just give me a chance to show you that I can be loyal, that I can be the person you need!”
He regarded me with a mixture of skepticism and something deeper, something that felt like regret. “And what if I refuse?”
“Then I’ll fight for your forgiveness!” I shouted, my voice rising with passion. “I’ll do whatever it takes to show you that I’m worthy of your love again. I can’t bear the thought of living in a world without you in it.”
For a moment, I thought I saw a flicker of something in his eyes—a hint of the affection that had once burned brightly between us. But it was gone as quickly as it appeared, replaced by the cold steel of his resolve.
“Do you think your words can erase the betrayal?” he asked, his tone unyielding. “Do you think this is about love?”
“No, but I can start to make things right,” I insisted, my voice cracking with emotion. “I’ll show you that I can be strong, that I can stand by your side.” he said nothing, just grab my hand and pull me
I stumbled as Lucifer’s grip tightened around my wrist, his fury palpable as he dragged me back toward the room. Panic rose within me, a mix of dread and desperation. I had just been kneeling, pleading for his forgiveness, but now I was being pulled away from my moment of vulnerability.
“Lucifer, please!” I cried, trying to catch my breath. “I was wrong! I shouldn’t have—”
“Silence!” His voice thundered, cutting me off. The air crackled with his anger, and I felt the weight of it press down on me. I had never seen him like this—so consumed by rage that it eclipsed everything else.
As we reached the door, he yanked it open and shoved me inside. I stumbled forward, my heart racing as I took in the scene before me. Lucien lay on the floor, battered and broken, his body a reminder of the chaos that had unfolded. My stomach twisted at the sight, and I felt sick.
The demons sat there, eating his hands slowly from his open, another open his stomach wide, eating his organs, Lucien was still alive…. His eyes kept blinking… Lucifer really want to make him feel pain, a horrible kind.
“Look at your dear Lucien!” Lucifer’s voice was cold, each word like a blade cutting through the tension. He stood behind me, his presence looming, an embodiment of wrath and disappointment.
