A DEAL WITH THE DEVIL : CHAPTER 221 – 230

LUCIFER SMILED.

The air was thick with anticipation as I stood in the vast, dimly lit hall. The silence seemed to hum, the kind of quiet that promised something special was about to unfold.

I glanced around, taking in the intricate details of the room, the ornate moldings, and the elegant furnishings that were now shrouded in shadow. Tonight, everything would change.

I could hear Selene’s footsteps approaching, the soft sound echoing against the marble floors. My heart raced in my chest as I waited for her to step inside. The moment the door creaked open and we entered, I felt a surge of excitement.

“Close your eyes,” I instructed softly, a grin spreading across my face.

“What?” she asked, her brow furrowing in confusion.

“Just trust me,” I said, my voice gentle but firm. “Close them.”

With a reluctant smile, she complied, her long lashes fluttering against her cheeks. I stepped closer, guiding her into the room with a delicate touch, ensuring she felt safe. Once she was fully inside, I shut the door behind us, sealing the world out.

“Alright, open your eyes,” I said, stepping back to watch her reaction.

As she opened her eyes, the transformation of the room revealed itself in full brilliance.

The dark hall burst into light, illuminating every corner. Strings of fairy lights draped elegantly from the ceiling, casting a warm glow that danced across the walls.

Beautiful decorations adorned the space—vibrant flowers in elegant arrangements, shimmering fabrics draped artfully, and candles flickering softly, creating an atmosphere that was both magical and intimate.

Selene gasped, her eyes widening in awe as she took in the sight before her. “Lucifer! This is… incredible!”

“I’m glad you like it,” I said, feeling a sense of pride swell within me. “I wanted to create a little haven for us, away from everything else. Just you and me.”

She stepped further into the room, her gaze sweeping over the decorations, clearly captivated. “It’s beautiful! I’ve never seen anything like this.”

“Just wait,” I said, a playful glint in my eyes. “There’s more.”

I led her to a beautifully set table, adorned with elegant tableware and a centerpiece bursting with fresh flowers. The soft scent of lavender and roses filled the air, mingling with the aroma of the carefully prepared meal waiting for us.

“Dinner?” she asked, her voice brimming with excitement. “You cooked all of this?” she look at me ” you can cook?”

“Of course,” I replied, feigning a nonchalant tone. “I can be quite the chef when I want to be. Or at least, I have a very talented chef on speed dial.”

She laughed, the sound ringing like music in the air. “You had me worried for a second there! What’s on the menu?”

“A little bit of everything,” I said, gesturing toward the spread. “We have roasted chicken, garlic mashed potatoes, and a fresh garden salad. And for dessert, I hear the chocolate mousse is to die for.”

“Wow, you really went all out,” she said, her eyes sparkling with delight. “This is amazing, Lucifer. We just ate in the restaurant.”

“no worries, am sure you will get hungry in no time” I said, my tone sincere. “I think we both deserve a moment to enjoy ourselves. Besides those food was really tiny”.
