Then suddenly two different papers from different direction of the arena, were thrown at her and blinking in puzzlement she bent to pick them up at the same time, then opening to read them, her eyes widened as she pocketed the letters before humming, as she looked at the directions the letter came from.

“One letter from the Queen Mother to meet her and the Other from the Emperor to see him. Two big figures who for some reason could have sent their servants but couldn’t?

Oh! So they want to use me as another scapegoat? No way! My mother taught me well, I’m too smart! After all, they told me to mind my business, right?

Now I will! they shouldn’t involve me with their politics! I’m bigger than that!”. Mulan hummed clapping her hands as she kept looking at the direction the letters came from.

Only for her to notice secret soldiers in two groups, one each at different sides of the arena, waiting for her to go answer their master’s calls as according to the letter and Mulan grinned.

‘This people are cunning. If I go to one, the other party will kill me, but if I don’t go to any, I’ll still be killed? What’s all this nonsense?!’. Mulan shouted in her head as she watched the two groups of hiding soldiers.

Each group pointing secret bows and arrows at her, as if to threaten her to follow them or get killed.

Sky stood hiding behind the entrance gate also pointing a metal bow and arrow at Mulan’s back.

‘Kill her before she submits to any party, I want no mistakes’. Sky could still remember the Crown Prince’s orders as he added another arrow to the arrow in his bow, so that no matter what, Mulan wouldn’t survive.

“Now which party is the strongest, for me to chose? The Queen Mother or the Emperor?”. Mulan thought, stroking her chin to get the answer.

Then suddenly she smiled and turned to the entrance, where Sky was and he hid the moment he saw her, but Mulan waved happily at him like she could see him, which made him puzzled.

While the Emperor’s and Queen Mother’s men stood looking confused.

“The Crown Prince requests my presence??!! Really?!! I dare not reject it!!!”. Mulan shouted loudly as she continued waving at the empty entrance and hearing the Crown Prince’s name, Queen Mother’s men in horror exchanged glances before running away, leaving only the Emperor’s men who waited to check if the Crown Prince actually sent for Mulan through someone.

Sky on the hand scoffed from where he stood.

‘She’s smart, she’s using the Crown Prince’s name to survive. Does this mean I don’t have to kill her since she didn’t pick any side?’. Sky thought, before keeping his bow and arrow before walking away.

“What are we still waiting here for? Even the Emperor can’t double cross the Crown Prince so who are we?! The Queen Mother’s men already left! Let’s all be smart and leave too before we die!!”.

A particular soldier from the Emperor’s side sneered at their leader and instantly the leader raised up his hands to the others.

“Retreat”. The leader said, giving Mulan one last glance before also leaving with his men.

And Mulan, seeing they were gone, finally stopped waving as she smiled.

“I thought best. The Crown Prince is really the strongest in this palace than both the Emperor and Queen Mother combined”. Mulan muttered.

Then suddenly she spotted Sky walking away with a few men outside the entrance and she smirked, packing her hair.

“I’m going back to my rejected mate! He must accept me by all means, I didn’t know he was this powerful! No way! I love my mate now, I will never leave him again!”. Mulan said as she instantly sat relaxed on the floor, then she brought out a lip balm from inside her breast region and began applying it on her lips.

“Let’s go Impress our Crown Prince Mulan!”. Mulan giggled to herself as she applied more lip balm…
