Kaidos and Ming also couldn’t understand the color coming from their leaf, but Sky and Mira’s were shiny blue depicting they were both approved by the moon goddess, and Mira fell to the ground crying loudly.
“Why him?! Why him?!!! I’m more beautiful than he is handsome so why him?!!!”. Mira cried loudly and Sky rolled eyes at her, before his eyes widened like everyone else’s in the arena.
“One leaf is shining red and the other gold? Who are those strange couples? What kind of mate are they? Why does it look like two demon wolves were mated and also two angel wolves were also mated?”. The Emperor asked amongst his shocked ministers.
“I think we may actually get our next Crown Prince and Princess from these two couples, your majesty”. The Prime minister said and the Queen Mother with widened eyes instantly turned to her servant.
“Get Caspian and his mate to come for their own inspection also!”. The Queen Mother ordered and she bowed before walking away while the Emperor smirked secretly.
“Red? How come? You’re not a wolf. Or are you?”. Kaidos asked and Ming shook her head.
“What does red leaf stand for?”. Ming asked and Kaidos who still looked confused scoffed.
“How do you expect me to know that even the servants inspecting us look so confused!”. Kaidos replied in frustration and Ming sighed.
“Should I kill everyone? Because maybe it means we’re disqualified and that couple over there seems to have a bigger winning chance”. Ming said pointing at Mulan and Crown Prince and Kaidos turned to them only for his eyes to widen.
“What in Rogue’s name is going on! First red, then they Gold! I’m sure this whole contest is rigged!! The Emperor doesn’t want outsiders taking the Crown”. Kaidos spat lowly and Ming held her sword ready to strike at any given order.
“Color Gold? What does it mean, why does everything we touch keep showing gold?”. Mulan asked the Crown Prince whose gaze was still stuck in the sky, till he turned to her a glint of confusion lingering in his eyes as he stared at puzzled Mulan.
Soon the royal announcer who had disappeared to bring out an historical book appeared and everywhere became dead silent as they wanted to hear the final results of the strange couples.
“It says here in the ancient book of our forefathers. That while a shiny blue leaf, symbolizes, Trust, youthfulness and loyalty to one’s mate. The color red symbolizes Blood and sacrifice while gold—
The announcer’s eyes widened as he glanced at the Crown Prince and Mulan who looked like they would tear him to pieces with how he keeps delaying.
“The color gold symbolizes immortality and eternity!”. The announcer said loudly and everyone gasped more loudly while the Emperor and Queen Mother stood up in shock.
‘Where’s Caspian!!’. The Queen Mother shouted in her head.
‘I shouldn’t have agreed to this contest in the first place. Where did these strange couples appear from! And who’s the one with the mask! The Emperor roared in his mind as he glanced at the Crown Prince and Mulan who exchanged glances…
