The next morning, Maya and Diana opened the door quietly, they were surprised to see Jayden and Lucas sleeping next to each other with their heads resting on each other.
“Oh my, did this happen”. Diana said surprisedly.
” I can’t believe it myself, did they make up? I need to take a picture of this”. Maya brought out her phone and took a photo of them.
“Should we wake them up?”. Diana asked.
“No, let’s leave them to wake up by themselves”. Maya said and they walked away leaving the door open.
Some moments later, everyone was seated in the dining room, Maya and Diana were staring at them as they both looked awkward.
” Did you guys have a nice sleep?”.Diana asked trying to control her laughter.
“Did you two settle your difference?”. Maya asked.
Jayden and Lucas nodded.
” That’s good to know”.
“We can now leave like one big happy family”. Maya said.” let’s eat “. She added.

Mr. Williams was having breakfast with his wife and Ella when suddenly a photo of Jayden and Lucas was sent to him by Maya.
” Oh my”. He said surprisedly staring at the photo.
“What happened?”. Mrs.williams asked.
“Take a look at this”. he gave her the phone.
Mrs. Williams glanced through it and was surprised.
” Did they make up?”.
“I guess so, Maya sent me the photo”. He said.
” Hope it is true, Jayden needs to put the past behind him since it wasn’t Lucas’s fault now that he knows that he is Maya’s brother”.She said.
“You are right”. They sighed.

Jayden was having a chat with his brothers over what Maya did.
” This is hilarious, she actually did this?”. Ryan asked laughing.
“Yeah”. Jayden replied.
” Wow, that’s nice”.Theo said.
“Does this mean you have settled your beef with him?”. Ryan asked.
“Yeah, it wasn’t his fault, beside he is Maya’s brother, so, I will need his permission to make Maya my wife”.
” You are right”. Theo said.
“Maybe we can invite him for a family dinner at our parent’s place tomorrow”. Ryan said.
” Exactly, then we can all settle the beef between us”.Theo said.

••THE WILLIAMS MANSION••
Everywhere was set for the family dinner, a lot of food was prepared and lavished on the dining.
An hour later, everyone was presented in the dining including Lucas and they were eating and chatting with one another.
“This is the best family gathering ever”. Lisa said.
” You can say that again”. Ryan said.
“Hope you are enjoying your meal, Lucas?”. Mrs.williams asked.
” Yeah”. He replied firmly.
“We are glad you honor our invitation”. Mr. Williams said.
” Of I have to, we are family now “. Lucas replied and they laughed.
” And all thanks to Maya for making this possible”.Diana said.
“Yeah, she did great work”. Theo said and Maya smiled.
” This is the happy family I have always wanted”.Maya said.
“And you did it dear”. Ma.lucy said.
” Let’s cheer to that”. Mia said
They raise their glasses and cheer.
“I am happy to be surrounded by all of you”. Ella said.
” You are always welcome”. Jayden said.
The chatting continues among them as they laugh and joke around enjoying every single moment. After dinner, Mrs. Williams and the rest were seated in the living room diluting their meal with orange juice. meanwhile, Jayden and Maya move to the veranda to have their quiet moment, same goes with Ryan and Mia, Diana comes to the balcony to have a quiet moment.
“You need some company?”. Theo interrupted her from behind.
Diana turned to him and smiled.
” Sure”, she replied and Theo moved close to her.
“Why are you here? Are you–“Theo got interrupted.
” No, I am not, am just happy right now that God gave me a second chance”. She said.
“And I am happy you came back”. They smile at each other.
” Thank you “.
” For what?”.
“For not giving up on me”. She said.
Theo smiled and pushed to her closing the gap between them.
” I could have lost it if you didn’t return to me”. He said and their eyes interlocked, he caressed her face.” I don’t know why I am feeling like this Diana, I tried to fight it but I couldn’t”.
“What are you talking about?”. She sputtered nervously.
” The kiss of that night, I couldn’t help it after that kiss”. He said.
Diana became confused as the memory of that night flashed through her head and she gasped.
“I am sorry Theo, I didn’t know I did that, I am so sorry”.
” You don’t have to apologize, but can I ask you something”.he said and Diana nodded.”Do you feel anything for me?”. He asked and Diana stared confusedly at him.
She doesn’t know what to say to him, she has never opened her heart to anyone in many years after the incident that happened.
“Um, Theo”. She pushes back from him a little and Theo sighs sadly. ” I don’t know, I have not opened my heart for years for any relationship, so, I don’t know if I feel any affection towards you”.
“It’s OK Diana, I understand, I am sorry for the pressure”.
“Am sorry Theo, I think I will need time to think it through”.
“You don’t have to, I promise I won’t bother you with it again, I don’t want you to be stressed over it, it’s fine”. He smiles at her.” I hope we can continue being friends?”.
“Sure”. She said and they hugged each other.
Meanwhile, Mrs. Williams heard everything, she smiled and walked away.

Weeks later, the wedding was fast approaching and everyone was putting things in order. Maya came to the poolside to look for Diana, she saw her sitting at the edge of the pool lost in thought, and swinging her legs in the water.
” There you are”.Maya said as she came to sit next to her.”What is wrong? You look paled”. She felt her forehead to see if she was sick.
“Am fine”. She said.
” You don’t look fine to me, is something wrong?”. Maya asked and Diana sighed.
“I don’t know what is wrong with me Maya, I tried so hard to fight it, but I couldn’t”. She said and Maya stared confusedly at her.
” You are confusing me, what fight are you talking about?”.
“Theo”.
” Theo? What about him? Did something happen?”.Maya wondered.
“Something happened at your engagement party between the two of us, and after that, he confessed his true feelings for me”. She said.
Maya’s wide mouth in surprise.
” He did?”
“Yeah, but I turn him down”.
” Why? Theo is a cool guy, why did you have to do that?”.
“I don’t know Maya and now I am regretting it, I was stupid to have done that because for many years now I haven’t opened my heart for a relationship”. She sighs sadly. ” And now, I finally realize I have to give love another chance and I also realize my true feelings for Theo, but my stupidity pushed him away”.
“But it’s never too late to correct your mistakes”. Maya said.
” Is too late, I already turned him down and I don’t think he will want me back”.
“Don’t think like that, as long as you two know what you feel towards each other, true love will always prevail”. She smiled and embraced her.” I am so happy for you”.
“I hope it works”.
” it will trust me “.
” Thank you, Maya”.

Jayden was having a chat with his brothers including Lucas, they were served a bottle of champagne.
” Are you kidding me”.Lucas laughed at Jayden’s joke.
“Well, it happened that way”. Jayden said and they laughed.”So, Theo, how did it go?”.
” What?”.Theo asked.
“You know what I am talking about, did you tell her?”.
” Um, yeah I did, but she said she was not ready yet”. Theo said.
“What is going on?”. Ryan asked.
” Well, Theo here fell in love with Diana”. Jayden said and they gasped in surprise.
“What the hell!”. Ryan said.
” Wow Theo, congratulations”. Lucas said.
“You mean she ditches you?”.Ryan asked.
” I can’t blame her, she deserves better”. Theo said.
“How can you say that, for the first time in your life, you finally fall in love with someone and you are just gonna let her because she said she wasn’t ready”. Jayden said.
” Jayden is right, fight for her and win her heart, aren’t you the Almighty Theo that made ladies fall to your feet”. Lucas said.
“Diana is not just any girl, I genuinely fall for her”. Theo said.
” Wow, this is surprising, who could have thought my Casanova of a brother here, would actually love a woman”.Ryan said.
“Don’t worry, give her time, I am sure she will come around”. Lucas said.
” I hope so”.Theo said.
They smile and continue with their chat.
