It was Marcus with his bodyguard, Jenkins.
Marcus sat at a table with his bodyguard, Jenkins. A waitress immediately approached them, her eyes fixed on Marcus with a warm smile.
“Welcome, Mr. Marcus, What can I get for you today?”
“Nothing for me, thank you”
The waitress nodded, before turning to Jenkins.
“And for you, sir?”
“Just bottled water, please” Jenkins replied.
Meanwhile, Katharina’s eyes were still fixed on Marcus. She couldn’t help but drool over his handsome face. She was so caught up in her admiration that she didn’t even notice Mrs. Gray’s knowing smile.
“I understand, he’s a handsome man” Mrs. Gray said.
Katharina finally looked away from Marcus, feeling embarrassed as she realized she’d been caught staring.
“Who’s he?” she asked and Mrs. Gray chuckled.
“That’s Marcus Blackwood, the billionaire CEO of Blackwood Wine Company, the leading wine company in New York”
“Wow that’s cool”
Just then, a tall, imposing figure walked into the restaurant, his eyes scanning the room until they landed on Marcus and he walked towards Marcus’s table.
“Ah, right on time, Victor” Marcus said.
“Marcus, good to see you. I trust you’re ready to discuss the proposal?”
“Of course, let’s get down to business” he said.

ALLURE AGENCY,AT THE STUDIO*
Natalie, a stunning model and top talent at Allure Agency, posed in front of a gleaming white backdrop. Cameras clicked and flashes popped as the photographer, Max, snapped away.
“Perfect, Natalie! Now, let’s try a different angle” Max called out, adjusting his lens and Natalie smirked.
“I know I’m nailing this shoot, Max. I’m the best in the business, after all”
Max chuckled used to Natalie’s pride already.
“That’s why you’re the face of this campaign, Natalie. Now, let’s get the perfect shot”
As the photoshoot progressed,Natalie posed perfectly, but also made sarcastic remarks and rolled her eyes, keeping everyone on their toes.
Rachel, Natalie’s agent, watched from the sidelines, looking both amused and frustrated.
“Natalie, darling, you’re doing great, but try to keep the attitude in check, okay?”
Natalie shot Rachel a deadly glare.
“I’m just keeping it real, Rachel. I’m the best, and I know it” she rolled her eyes and Rachel sighed.
“Great, that’s a wrap!” Max exclaimed, lowering his camera.
“You were fantastic, Natalie” he added and Natalie rolled her eyes, smirking.
“Yeah, yeah, I know I’m amazing. Can I get out of this ridiculous outfit now?” She hissed and the crew exchanged glances, obviously fed up with her behaviour.
As the crew began packing up the equipment, Natalie walked towards the dressing room, her heels clicking impatiently. She came out a few minutes later, looking stunning in her designer dress and Rachel approached her, smiling.
“You looked great out there, Natalie. I’m sure the client will love the shots”
“Please, I know I’m the best. And I’m only doing this campaign because it pays well, not because I need the exposure”
Natalie’s phone rang, and Rachel handed it to her since it was with her.
“It’s your mother-in-law” she said and Natalie answered, and Mrs. Blackwood’s voice was on the other end.
“Natalie, dear, I hope you’re getting settled. Are you still moving into the house today?”
“Yes! I can’t wait to get moved in and start our new life together!”
“Wonderful, dear. I think it would be lovely if you and Marcus visited the house tonight with Hazel with you, once you’re settled. How do you like that?”
“That sounds great, Mother! Thanks for the suggestion”
“You’re welcome dear” Mrs Blackwood said and ended the call.
“I’m so happy right now,I’m finally moving into Marcus’ house. I’ve always dreamt of it and now it’s happening. I need to go now to prepare” Natalie said and she left.

EVENING AT MRS GRAY’S HOUSE*
Mrs Gray closed for the day at her store, and she and Katharina head to her house since it’s a working distance.
“Welcome to my little abode, Katharina”Mrs Gray said as they approached her house. Katharina noticed a young girl waiting on the front porch. She was about 7 years old, still in her school uniform, and her eyes sparked up when with she saw her mother.
“Mommy!” the little girl exclaimed, running down the steps to greet Mrs. Gray.
“Have you been waiting for long?” Mrs Gray asked and she nodded.
“So sorry dear,I forgot to come pick you from school today. Who brought you home?”
“School bus mum” she said like it should be obvious and then her gaze turned to Katharina waiting for her mum to do the introduction.
“This is Katharina, she’s a new friend and she’s going to be staying with us for a while and Katharina,this is my little daughter, Emily” Mrs Gray introduced.
Emily’s eyes widened as she looked at Katharina with curiosity.
“Hi!” she exclaimed, waving enthusiastically.
Katharina smiled and waved back at the little girl.
“Hi, Emily! It’s nice to meet you”
“I’m glad you two are getting along already. Let’s get inside, shall we? I’m sure Katharina is exhausted from her journey” Mrs Gray said and they all went inside.
“So Emily,how was your first day at your new school? Did you made friends?” Mrs Gray asked and Emily smiled dryly as she remembered Hazel and what she said to her.
“It was fine mum,I made friends too” Emily said,well that’s not a lie. She did made few friends but Hazel is making her uncomfortable.
Katharina noticed a hint of sadness in Emily’s eyes, but the little girl quickly smiled again.
“That’s great, sweetie” Mrs. Gray said, hugging her daughter.
“I’m sure it’s not easy starting a new school. Emily, why don’t you show Katharina your room?” Mrs. Gray suggested, and Emily’s face lit up.
“Yeah! I want to show her my doll collection!” Emily exclaimed, dragging Katharina upstairs immediately.

VALDORIA KINGDOM*
Calantha, paced back and forth in her chambers, a sly smile spreading across her face.
“I should be worried about where my sister is right? But why am I so happy that she ran away? Maybe because I like Prince Henry and I never liked the idea of them getting married. Katharina thanks so much for running,I should find a way to make Prince Henry mine instead” she smiled sinisterly.
The guards combed the whole kingdom yesterday night but they couldn’t find Katharina leaving the king so furious and agitated. The search is still on though but Calantha is hoping she’s never found.

Elara sat in her dark cell, feeling very weak. She hadn’t eaten or drunk anything for days. She thought about the day she helped Katharina escape. She felt loyal to the princess, but now she wondered if it was worth it.
The cold floor made her feel even weaker. Her mouth was very dry and she had screamed for help until she lost her voice. No one came to help her. She was alone with her regrets.
Then, she heard footsteps outside her cell. She looked up, hoping someone had come to help her. But it was only Calantha, smiling meanly at her. Elara felt hopeless again.
“You’re suffering, aren’t you? You’re suffering because of your loyalty to my sister”
Elara tried to speak, but her dry throat could only manage a faint croak and Calantha laughed.
“No one is going to help you, Elara. You’re going to rot in this cell, alone and forgotten”
Elara’s eyes filled with tears as Calantha’s words hit her like a blow. She knew she had made a mistake, and now she was paying the price. She slumped against the wall, her body weak and her spirit crushed.
Calantha turned to leave, but then stopped and turned back to Elara.
“But don’t worry, your suffering will be rewarded… with a slow and painful death. No one will ever find you, and no one will ever remember you. You’re nothing but a traitor, and traitors deserve no better”
With that, Calantha turned and walked away, leaving Elara to her darkness and despair. The sound of her footsteps echoed through the dungeon, fading into the distance, leaving Elara with only her thoughts to keep her company.
She knows why Calantha is like this anyway so she’s not surprised, that’s a story for another day.

Katharina left the house some minutes with Emily who insisted on following her so she won’t get lost. She just want to explore the area a little and get accustomed to it.
As Katharina walked through the streets, Emily chattering away happily beside her, she couldn’t help but feel a sense of freedom she’d never known before. No guards, no protocol, no suffocating palace walls. Just her, the fresh air, and the sound of Emily’s laughter.
“Katharina, look! A park!” Emily exclaimed, tugging on her hand.
Katharina smiled and let Emily lead her to the park. They sat on a bench together, watching children play and couples stroll hand in hand.
“Emily, can I ask you something?” Katharina said, turning to the little girl.
“Sure!” Emily replied.
“Do you like living here? With your mom, I mean?”
“Yeah! Mommy’s the best! She’s always working, but she’s so nice and she makes me feel safe”
“That’s wonderful, Emily. I’m glad you have her”
As they sat there, Katharina realized that she was finally living the life she wanted. No palace, no royal duties, just a simple life with people she cared about.
A black car suddenly passed by, catching Emily’s attention.
“Wow! Look at that car, Katharina! I want a car like that when I grow up!” Emily exclaimed.
Katharina smiled, watching the car disappear into the distance.
“It’s a beautiful car” she said.
Meanwhile,it was Marcus in the car with Jenkins driving. He’s not on his way home right now but instead heading to a club. He knows Natasha is already at his house but he doesn’t wants to see her. He wants everyone to be asleep when he gets back.
They suddenly passed a street and Marcus eyes met with Katharina who Wes sitting with Emily, strangely he couldn’t take his eyes off her.
Marcus’s eyes lingered on Katharina, his mind racing with questions. Who was this beautiful woman? He couldn’t look away, even as Jenkins spoke to him.
“Sir, we’re approaching the club. Shall I drop you off?”
Marcus hesitated, still watching Katharina.
“Yes”
“Very well, sir”
As they drove away, Marcus couldn’t shake off the feeling , He couldn’t explain it, but…
“Jenkins, turn the car around” Marcus said suddenly.
“Sir?” Jenkins asked, surprised.
“I need to go back” Marcus said, his eyes fixed on the spot where Katharina was sitting.
