CHAPTER 18
She was about to return to her phone when Maxwell arrived.
“Took you long enough” she said when she heard the car door opening. She looked up, and immediately she saw him, her eyes widened.
His suit is gone, he’s currently wearing a white shirt on black pants! He even looks more handsome with the rough hair.
“I have a distinct taste, so I took my time looking for what I like” he replied, and that made her blink before looking away from him.
“Whatever, we should go drink” she said.
“Drink?” He asked.
“Yeah, told you I was gonna thank you for the drama at the mansion” she replied.
“Oh…can we shift it to another day? I have to go swimming practice right now” he replied, and she blinked.
“You’re a swimmer?”
“Yes”
“Cool, drive me home then” she replied.
Maxwell smiled slightly before revving the car engines back to life .
He drove away from the road, and Jemima returned to reading comments on her new post till he got to her house.
They stepped out together, and she handed her the car keys.
“Goodnight, boss” he said freely and turned back, walking away.
Jemima waited till he went out of sight before going in too.
She met just Dolores in the living room.
“Francesca is asleep already” she said.
“I never asked about her” Jemima replied.
“You know she’d never sleep without seeing you unless something is up… she’s got headache, and she cried a lot after she was sent home from school” Dolores said.
“So?” Jemima replied.
“Madam!”
“Look Dolores, I’m currently having an happy night, don’t even try to ruin it” Jemima said and started going upstairs.
“I dunno what she did to you, but can’t you just forgive her? That adorable girl loves you so much” Dolores suddenly said, and she stopped.
“Wanna get fired? Then say one more word” she said and finally left.

Maxwell boarded the bus straight to the pool hall, and he met Warren waiting in front of it already.
He’s talking to Molly on phone, so Maxwell had to wait. Molly is his girlfriend.
“Yeah, I can skip my part-time job tommorow, we should go on a date” he said.
“No, I don’t think I’m in for a date throughout this week, let’s make it next week” she replied.
“We’ve been shifting it since last month, why are you so busy?” Warren asked.
“It’s not my fault Warren” Molly replied.
“I know, just take care and don’t overwork” Warren said.
“Sure baby! Bye!” Molly replied.
“I love you, bye!” Warren hung up and kssed the phone.
“Wow! This love is crazy” Maxwell laughed.
“Stop it, you should get a girlfriend Mell” Warren replied.
“Let’s just go, Molly’s sweetheart” Maxwell said, and Warren smiled as they went in together, but on getting to the main door…

“What!” Maxwell said surprisingly.
