CHAPTER 166

“Hey” he smiled, and she came closer.

“You look more kinky” she said.

“Why is everyone saying that tonight?” he replied, and she giggled.

“Cos it’s true, dummy”

He covered the remaining space between them and hugged her shortly.

“Should we go for ice cream after this party?” She asked.

“Ice cream? Sounds nice” he replied as he broke the hug.

He went to Cypress and tapped her on the shoulder. She faced him slowly.

“Don’t feel lonely” he said, and she smiled.

“Can’t help it, wish he’s here” she said sadly, and he gave her an hug.

A loud scream of excitement filled the hall suddenly, and he broke the hug to see Maxwell and Jemima just coming in, both reflecting everywhere like diamonds.

They were linking arms, smiling bright as they walked side by side, waving at the crowd with their second hands.

“The star of the night is here!” The MC announced, and the scream got crazier till they got to the middle where they began mingling individually, chatting and laughing with friends till they got to the front.

Maxwell stood in front of the microphone and flashed a cute smile, making everyone scream again.

“Ok honestly I wasn’t expecting my party to be this full and lively, I must say I have a very dramatic father-in-law” he said, and everyone laughed.

“I knew he was up to something when he asked to be the organizer, and here we are, with the whole of Paris” he continued, and chairman laughed with the crowd this time.

“Clinton actually loves attention so I’m not surprised” granny said, and another round of laughter happened again.

“You shouldn’t be saying my secret publicly, in-law” chairman replied beside her.

“Whatever” she replied, and he chuckled.

“Thanks to everyone for coming to my party, and even if that’d be the last time I’d swim, the fact that I achieved my dream through it is all I’ve always wanted, so thanks to everyone who supported me till this level.

My late parents Audrey and Murrell Milla, my Granny Suzy Milla, my big sis Cypress Milla, my best friend like a brother..

Warren, my father-in-law, and my Gem” he said, and a round of applause followed.

“And tonight I’m happy to announce to y’all that I clocked 50M followers on IG three hours ago, so I’m qualified to become a Diamond, my second dream” he said, and screams started again.

“Y’all enjoy the party, but before I leave this place, I still have something else to say” he said, and everyone went silent.
