CHAPTER 23
“Good afternoon, Chief Donald” he smiled, coming in fully.
“The new secretary of the rude brat?” The potbellied man replied, and he smiled.
“Yes sir, I… came to remind you of the upcoming meeting by 5, and…
“And who told you I have plans to attend? I’ve never attended any meeting called by her, she doesn’t respect the opinions of others, she’s the only right person existing, who does that?
You expect me to go sit and listen to her orders? No way young man” Chief Donald replied, sitting down eventually.
“You’re the Chief director sir, and…
“And that doesn’t count! You should leave” he replied harshly, but his nose caught the smell of something immediately.
He began sniffing the air.
“Wait, I smell petit-four” he said, and Maxwell placed the package with him on the table.
“I heard you love it, so I got it though it was really hard to get a unique taste” he said.
Chief Donald grabbed it immediately, unwrapping the package to behold the sponge cake.
“Oh my gosh!” He gushed, inhaling the scent with closed eyes.
He ate from it with the included spoon immediately, then he faced Maxwell.
“When is the meeting again?”

XXIV CARATS~ 3PM
Cypress came out of the locker room after rearranging her hair, tying it back to the usual two braids.
She bumped into Oliver in front of it, he’s holding two cups of coffee.
“Senior Oliver” she smiled, and he pointed a cup at her.
“I prefer beer” she said, taking it.
“Not again, I know what you can do if you get drunk” he replied, and she laughed before taking a sip from the coffee straw.
“Hmmn!” She moaned and continued drinking till half.
“I really have to start taking coffee, this is delicious senior Oliver!” She faced him.
“Is it really necessary? I mean… calling me senior all the time. We’re same age” he said.
“It still doesn’t change the fact that you’re the senior of all the attendants here, boss made you senior cos of your capabilities” she winked, and he smiled, but someone suddenly bumped into their middle from behind, separating them.
Their coffee cups fell.
As expected, it’s Linda.
“Oh! I’m so sorry senior Oliver! I swear I wasn’t looking ahead” she quickly said, and Cypress scoffed at her incredible acting skills
“It’s ok” Oliver said simply.
“I’ll clean up the mess” Linda replied with a sweet smile and rolled eyes at Cypress before leaving.
“The next time I get the chance to hit her, she’d land in the hospital” Cypress said.
“Seriously?” Oliver asked beside her.
“Seriously, you’re too soft and I hate you for that!” She shot and left angrily.
She got back to the main store, and at the same time, a new customer came in…
?? Purple Cassandra!
?? It’s her!
?? OMG Purple Cass!
?? The English fairy!
Even her walking steps showed sophistication, and her outfit is all shades of expensive purple, no other colour.
She removed her purple shades as all the attendants assembled in front of her.
