CHAPTER 29
“Maxwell” Jemima’s voice interrupted the call, and he hung up before facing her.
“Talking to your girlfriend on phone instead of doing your job? You’re here to stay beside me and not mop around!” She shouted.
“Sorry, and that wasn’t my girlfriend” he said.
“Do I look like I care!? Stop acting dumb!” she replied angrily.
“I already said sorry” he replied calmly.
“Drive me home” she said.
“But the party is not over…
“Drive me home!” She snapped, storming out of the balcony.
“And what the h’ll changed her mood?” Maxwell muttered before following her.
“Maxwell!” Sloane crossed him immediately.
“I have to go now, boss is leaving” he said, and she nodded as he walked out.
He met her sitting at the backseat of the car already, head on the headrest and eyes closed
Without any question, he drove out of the place.
No talks or words till they got to her mansion, and she even came down before him.
She walked in without looking back, and he sighed.
“What the fk is happening? Didn’t she defend me in the party an hour ago?” He muttered.
He dropped the car key on the car and left to board a taxi which took him to the bar.
It’s closed, but he met Warren in front of it with Molly, his girlfriend.
“Hey Maxwell!” Molly smiled.
“What’s up Molly?” He gave her a light hug.
“You’ve been scarce these days” he said.
“My job got choky, I have to make the cash yunno?” She replied, and he nodded with a chuckle before facing Warren.
“Dude, why is the bar closed by this time?”
“Granny Suzy is sick, so Cypress took her home to take care of” he replied, and his eyes widened.
“What!”
“The usual flu and backache” Warren replied.
“I’ll see you tommorow!” Maxwell said hastily and ran off to board another taxi home.

Tatiana came out of the bathroom in her bathrobe, her hair wet and the water dripping down the robe as she got her phone.
She went to The Diamonds blog to check the gist, and most of it is making fun of her and CleoSpeedy.
