CHAPTER 50
Immediately he said that, he attached his lips to her ear and kissed it!
“Maxwell…” Jemima whispered like a moan, melting completely into his charms as her eyes went shut again.

For a minute, they stayed that way, not moving away from each other as his lips continued staying on her ear.
The last time Jemima felt this way was back then when Darell was still in charge, her first love in highschool, but even back then, she could swear that the feelings weren’t as much as this.
The way Maxwell’s lips grazed her lobes right now is klling, she’d do anything to continue feeling the sensations.
Maxwell finally moved his lips away from her ear, then he slid it down her neck, licking the sensitive part of it before kssing it too.
“Max!” Jemima grasped his shoulders tighter, holding her breath as his warm breaths made all the hair on her body stand at tension… What the h’ll is he doing to her???
She has no idea, till he parted his lips from her neck and brought his face to hers.
“Why did you stop?” She found herself asking in a whisper, and she nearly didn’t believe that actually came from her till he replied.
“We should go in”
Immediately he said that, her lost senses came back, and she blinked before smiling in a $illy way.
“Oh! Oh yeah! Let’s go in” she said in an effortless stutter, and Maxwell smiled secretly before walking out of the pool.
He walked back upstairs to their room, and she kept standing there in the middle of the pool, thinking about what just happened.
She brought her fingers to her ear and caressed it slowly, smiling as she did.
“He kssed my ear” she muttered, bringing the fingers down to her neck.
“My neck too” she smiled brighter, biting her lip.
“How’d a kss on the lips feel?” She asked herself, but she immediately snapped out of her daydream and walked out of the pool.
She tied a wrap around her waist before going upstairs too.
She dried herself up and applied her skincare and facials before slipping into her nightie.
She was about to go out of the room when Maxwell came in with her ringing phone. She left it at the dinning earlier.
“Frances on video call” he said, and she quickly took the phone.
“Hey baby!” She shouted immediately she picked and saw her face.
“Mum! I miss you so much already!” She gushed.
“Me too baby! What are you doing without me?” Jemima asked, sitting on the bed.
“Eating your favorite fruit with Dolores, we’re watching my favorite Barbie movie” Francesca replied.
“Princess Charm School? How many times would you watch that? You don’t get tired of Blair?” Jemima smiled.
“I can never get tired” she replied, and they laughed.
“So where’s Mell?” She asked, and Jemima signalled at Maxwell to come.
He came behind her, and his face appeared on the screen.
“Aww! So glad someone like you is with my mum” she gushed.
“How?” Maxwell grinned.
“I mean.. mum might be older but you’re more matured than her, she can be very childish” Francesca replied.
“What! Hey Cesca…” Jemima glared.
“I’m not lying, so please Mell, take care of her. Her bronchial tubes gets affected easily, so make sure she’s not exposed to cold” she continued, and Jemima smiled.
“Really? Sure I’ll do that, anything else?” Maxwell asked.
“She can be cranky when she’s on her period, so…
“Cesca!” Jemima’s eyes widened.
“Goodnight brat!” She shot and ended the call.
She dropped the phone and inhaled, then she felt eyes on herself. She looked up to see Maxwell staring.
He’s wearing a white hood on black pants right now,.
“Why are you looking at me?” She blinked.
“So…you get cranky on your period?” He said.
“She’s lying, so don’t…
“Frances never lies” he interrupted.
“Whatever!” She came down from the bed.
“Was that why you sent me to buy pads on the night we met?” Maxwell said immediately, and she faced him swiftly.
“I said no! I’m not cranky on my period. Why would I be when I don’t get menstrual cramps?” She quickly said.
“The way you’re acting right now actually proves Frances right” Maxwell said knowingly.
“Shut up!” She shot and went closer to cover his mouth with her palms, but her legs stumbled on each other, and she fell on him just beside the bed.
They went down on the bed together, and her eyes widened when his body landed on hers.
Her loud heartbeats returned immediately, and she swallowed hard when he brought his lips close to hers.
His eyes looks so seductive right now that she could drown in them.
The beats increased rapidly, and her heart almost jumped out of her chest as the knocks hit crazier, she was almost tempted to close her eyes again.
“She said you have weak bronchial tubes, you should cover well” he whispered, and she blinked as he stood from her and covered her with the duvet completely.
“Go to bed early” he said, and she smiled.
“Thanks”
“Close your eyes” he said, and she did that immediately.
He started walking to the door, but when he got there, he held the knob and looked back. Her eyes are still closed.
“Sleep tight” he said before leaving the room.
Jemima’s eyes opened immediately, and her cheeks turned deep red at what he just said.
She closed her eyes again, still smiling as she drifted peacefully to sleep.
