DOMINANT INTENTIONS : CHAPTER 41 – 50
On getting out, they saw Colt about to enter the king’s courtroom. He arrived at the palace just now and went there following the king’s orders.
“Colt!” Rania added to her pace, switching to running till she entered the courtroom with the rest.
Colt is already inside with the king and another person—Minister Blake.
“Kneel” King Kaden stood.
“I refuse to” Colt replied.
“Kneel, Colt, or I’m disowning you right here!” King Kaden yelled.
“Disown me then” Colt replied curtly, and King Kaden annoyingly threw the cup of wine in front of him at Colt.
He could have dodged, but he decided not to, so the cup smashed on his cheek, giving him a small cut on the jaw.
“Why didn’t you dodge, jerk!” Nickolas shouted, and Minister Blake smiled on his seat. Rania folded her fists, and Victoria stayed neutral.
“Do you know why I didn’t try to take clubhouse and fighting ring away from Nickolas and Tristan?” King Kaden said, his voice hard and impossibly high.
“Cos they’re not giving me headache no matter how much they box or club, but you…you arrived from Paris just last week and in that small span of time, you and your brothers thrashed the former Prime Minister’s son in the club which I’m sure you instigated.
You’re the same person who took the Prime Minister’s wife away at the Met Gala and caused ruckus last night, and tonight you visited the senator’s mansion and beat up his son till he was half-dead?
What the hell is up with you? Are your cigarettes starting to mess with your skull?” King Kaden shouted.
Colt remained silent, and King Kaden took a deep breath, holding his chest to steady his breaths.
When Minister Blake noticed that, he shadowed his sight.
Is the king sick?
“I’m the third king of this city since the constitutional law started, and I’m the only one whose son is a popular beater.
You took over RR not long ago, what do you want your employees to think about you? What do you want your target audience to think?” King Kaden said.
“I don’t give a fûck what people think” Colt replied nonchalantly to that.
“You’re insane, Colt! Totally insane! You’re insane!!” King Kaden shouted, trying to get to him, but Queen Victoria quickly went up to him, holding him back and rubbing his chest.
“Your Majesty, please calm down, please…”
“Your mother also denied entry of the Prime Minister last night. Both mother and son are dealing with the same insanity” King Kaden said.
“Your Majesty…” Victoria drew him back again, and Rania immediately went on her knees.
“I’m sorry” she said, causing silence in the court.
Minister Blake sighed, watching her with deep hatred.
“I’m sorry for whatever my son and I did, please be lenient” Rania continued.
King Kaden took a low breath, taking his eyes away from her before disengaging from Victoria.
“Come back for our talk in two days, Blake. I need a break” he said, and Blake stood.
“As Your Majesty pleases” he took a bow and smiled before leaving the court.
King Kaden left with Victoria too, and Rania stood from her knees, facing Colt who still looks as cutthroat as ever.
“What did Manson do? I know you more than anyone, Colt. You won’t suddenly beat him like that if he didn’t do you wrong” she said, touching his arm.
Colt took her hand, walking out of the court with her and leaving Nickolas and Tristan there.
“Queen Rania was right, Colt wouldn’t beat anyone brutally like that without a reason.” Tristan said, sitting down.
“We all hate Manson, but Colt hates him more, so it’s understandable” Nickolas shrugged.
