Chapter 131
(One week later)
Evelyn stood at the airport alongside Martin’s friends, and she seemed very impatient.
She missed Martin so much. She just wanted to hug him, kss him, and do fun things with him.
“Why isn’t he here yet? He is taking so long,” Evelyn said, turning to look at James.
“Come on, he will be here soon,” he said, and she nodded.
Almost immediately, she spotted Martin coming down from the plane.
Their eyes met slowly, and Martin waved at her.
Tears were already flowing down from Evelyn’s eyes.
She missed him so much.
“Martin?” she called, and he just smiled as he moved closer to her.
“Martin,” she called, and jumped on his body, making him laugh, and he wrapped his arms around her protectively.
People stared at them in admiration, while some were taking pictures of them, including his friends.
The moment was just so beautiful and amazing.
Her legs were wrapped around his waist, and she laid her head on his chest.
She didn’t care if they were in public, taking pictures, and it didn’t really matter to him anymore.
“Martin,” she called, already crying, as they distinguished from the hug, and Martin chuckled, wiping her tears away.
“What’s with the tears, babe? I’ve only been gone for a week, and you’re behaving like a baby,” he pinched her nose, and Evelyn playfully hit him on the chest.
“What was that for?” he pretended to be hurt.
“I just miss the sweet words you say to me,” Evelyn said, and Martin laughed.
“We are here, bro, and all you see is Evelyn,” James said, and Martin chuckled.
“Hi, guys,” he waved, and they all stared at each other.
“We came here to wait for you at the airport, and all you say is hi.
Maybe we shouldn’t have brought Evelyn along,” James hissed, and Martin h!t him on the back of his head.
“Shut your mouth,” he said, and James scoffed.

“How have you been doing?” Martin asked as he patted her hair softly, and Evelyn just shrugged her shoulders.
“Fine,” she replied.
They were currently in the car, heading to Martin’s home.
She laid her head on his chest while Martin patted her hair.
It was obvious the couple missed each other like crazy; it felt like they had both been longing for each other.
“My mom has been discharged from the hospital,” she said, and Martin sighed in relief.
“I’m so glad she’s okay.”
“Thank you, Martin… for everything. It’s because of you my mom is still alive,” Evelyn said, staring into his eyes, and Martin smiled and held her cheek softly.
“I would do anything to put a smile on that beautiful face of yours because your smile is what brightens my day,” he said, staring into her eyes, and Evelyn smiled through tears.
She was tearing up already.
