EFCC Officials Arrest Some People For Illegal Broadcasting English Premiership, Contents of DSTV

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arrested some officials of Worldlink, Communication Trends Limited and JAO TV in Edo and Delta States, Nigeria for illegal airing of English Premier League and other contents which official belong to the Multichoice Nigeria Limited.

The Multichoice Nigeria is believed to be the only company which acquired the right to broadcast the contents, most especially, the English Premier League which Nigerians love the most among the European Leagues.

According to the officials of the EFCC, the suspects allegedly charged their customers very low amount compared to what the Multichoice Nigeria, which is the owner of the contents is charging their own customers as monthly subscriptions.

However, the suspects were arrested through the officials of Multichoice Nigeria who reported them to the EFCC officials.

EFCC said they will be charged to court as soon as thier investigations are completed.
