The first thing she saw was the blood moon rose which he placed in a flower pot for her.

The small golden pot is sitting on the bedstand, so she took it and hugged it to her chest.

“You might be a heir of darkness and king of sadism, but trust me… I fell in love with all your dark parts and they’re my favorite parts of you” she sobbed, taking her phone eventually.

She turned it on and immediately received a mail from the house of Orlovs.

Definitely, it’s from Klara.

• Election has been dragged back to tomorrow. Change of plans, get ready to leave tomorrow morning.

Adeline dropped her phone and lay on the bed, hugging the rose pot again as her eyes went shut.

Corey is in his room at the top floor, sprawled in bed and staring at the ceiling with his eyes zeroed on just one spot.

On that spot, he could clearly see Adeline’s face. Just her face.

He was smiling faintly as he stared, wishing she’d stay safe and that Madden would be able to protect her till the end.

He’s aware of the ongoing riot in The Bratva, all because of her.

It’s the first time since it’s establishment, and surely, it won’t be easy to quench.

His phone buzzed beside him, and he picked it to check.

It’s a notification from the underworld news.

The election has been dragged back cos of the ongoing riot, and instead of two weeks, it’s happening tomorrow!

“What the…

He spranged up and was about to dial Nazeera’s line when the danger alarm sounded throughout the building, reaching his room.

He ran out of the room, taking the elevator to the main floor where he saw the workers running around with panic on their faces.

He grabbed the first person he could reach… Gianna.

“What’s going on?” He asked breathlessly.

“Our walls are going down, and our door locks are deactivating, even the defences are falling. We got hacked!” She replied.

“That’s impossible!” Corey retorted.

Gianna grabbed a door beside herself and shut it, then she activated the lock.

Right in front of them, the lock deactivated.

“Fûck!” Corey muttered, remembering his meeting with Madden yesterday.

He took the elevator to the down floor and ran down the park to check his car.

True to his suspicions, he found a digital tracker beside the front tyre.

“Oh no” he muttered, removing it, but it was already too late cos that instant, three black cars zoomed into the park.

Corey felt his pocket for his gun, but it was nowhere, so he started running back into the building.

Immediately he opened the door, the first car door opened, and Poe jumped out, shooting him in the leg.

“Urghhhhh!!!!” He groaned, falling on the ground.

He looked back and saw the other two cars opening, then the other girls stepped down.

Loud and Malik are the only guys, then Madden himself came down last, rolling eyes immediately his foot touched the ground.

“Motherfûcker!” Poe laughed at Corey, and he quickly crawled into the building.

Madden took the lead into the building, and by the door, he got a text.

He retrieved his phone and saw it’s from Maya.

Sociopath: We share the same father with Sin and Igor. Ivan Smirnov is a bastard!!!!

He just locked up after reading it, and he could imagine Maya screaming as she typed the text.

So far he’s still in The Bratva world, then he has promised himself that nothing would have the ability to shock him again.

Not even the death of his loved ones

The only deaths that’d change him completely is either Maya’s or Adeline’s.

And those two aren’t happening anytime soon.

He clicked on his manor camera which was connected to his phone, and he easily found Adeline in the bedroom.

She’s sleeping in bed, hugging the rose pot.

He faintly smiled and nearly got distracted, but then he switched off the phone and pushed it back into his pocket.
