“Angel” Adeline stood and went to her immediately, squatting in front of her.
“Can we talk privately?” Angelika mumbled.
“Of course” Adeline carried her into the inner kitchen where she dropped her on a stool and brushed her curly hair with her fingers.
“Can you stop working for Death?” Angelika suddenly asked.
“Why?” Adeline blinked.
“Because he maltreats you. He left you in the open for two days and you didn’t even eat. He’s really beastly, and he doesn’t even believe, but he goes into the cathedral almost every night and locks the door on himself for an hour” Angelika explained.
“He does that?” Adeline frowned a bit.
“Yes. I saw him a number of times, but he doesn’t go there to pray. He’s a beast so i’m sure he goes there to do dirty things. Stay away from that devil” Angelika said, and Adeline smiled, stroking her cheeks.
“I promise I’ll be fine… Ok?”
“What if he locks you outside again?” Angelika shook her head.
“He won’t” Adeline replied, and Angelika hugged her tight, making Adeline smile again before hugging her back.
“I wish Corey was still here. He’s kinder than Death” Angelika said, and slowly, Adeline broke the hug, her eyes darkening.
“You know Corey?”
Angelika nodded. “He bought me a lot of candies before he left the compound” she said, and Adeline sighed with a smirk.
From the small window, Lady Selesta is watching them with a large smile.
The ringing of her phone made her turn around, fishing out the phone from her apron.
She picked the call as fast as possible.
“You took long before picking” the harsh female voice came.
“Believe me madam, I picked immediately you called” Selesta replied, standing at tension as if she’s here.
“How’s my Angel doing?” The voice asked, calm this time.
“She’s enjoying her holiday” Selesta replied, still at tension.
“Cool. I sent a lot of stuffs to her. It’s still on the ship though. It should reach Russia in two days so get the load from the port” the voice said.
“Sure, madam” Selesta bowed again.
“And how’s Death doing?” She asked the question Selesta has been expecting.
“As usual… Killing, sèxing, and trying to take back his father’s place in the clan” Selesta replied.
“That’s more like him… Goodbye” the voice said and hung up
Selesta stood straight, taking in a deep breath.
“That bîtchy soldier” she muttered, straightening her face before going back into the kitchen.

CLINIC*
The nurses froze immediately Madden stepped into the clinic grounds.
None of them could move nor breath as he walked past the hallway, his aura blinding.
The cross necklace is back around his neck, refilled with new potent poison, and it was dangling as he made his way to Poe’s ward, pushing the door open.
He turned on the AC since it’s off, then he stepped in.
Poe’s eyes opened on the bed, and she quickly sat up when she saw him.
“Master!”
“Relax” he replied coldly, standing beside her bed.
“The Pakhan will kill Micheal if he find out she’s a woman. Isn’t it better to wipe her memories and send her away now?” She said.
“Taking orders from people is what I’ll never try out. It’s disgusting coming from a girl I saved” he replied.
“I’m not ordering you I swear, I’m just…
“I’m not here to babble. Whatever you saw should remain in your underbelly. Spit it out and I’ll kill you then drop your body on the roadside I picked you from.
