MEANWHILE AT CHANTY’S OFFICE
Sophia and Spencer were still staring at each other as none of them were ready to start the talk
“This is not a staring competition, fight if you want to fight, don’t keep me waiting” Lui Chen who had been watching everything boringly shouted in annoyance
But to his surprise, Sophia and Spencer acted like they heard nothing
“Geez! Those two really ignored me! Lui Chen muttered in embarrassment before standing up from the chair
“I’ll get even with the two of you” he glared at them before walking out of the office
After little Treasure went out, Spencer decided to break the silence
“How have you been Sophia? He asked gently
” Not your concern” Sophia replied coldly
” Sophia I know you are annoyed_
“Why will I be annoyed with you, you are just a stranger to me” she cut in and turn to leave
” Sophia” he called and held her hand back but her next action stunned him
sI.ap!!! She landed a deafening sI.ap on his face
“Bstard! She cvrsed slowly as tears welled up in her eyes
“Eight years! For eight years, have been waiting for you to return! Stupid me thought something bad had happened to you but here you are safe and sound
“Am sorry Sophia,a lot happened which__
” I don’t need your explanation! She interrupted before he could say more
” We are now stranger so don’t you dare think of showing up your face in my front again! She added sternly and turn to leave
He tried to follow her but a glare from her restricted his movement
“Follow me and I swore to make you an impotent for life! She threatened and Spencer shriek back in fear
Sophia left immediately and he let out a sigh
Her hostility was entirely his fault,if he hadn’t broke his promise eight years ago, she wouldn’t be treating him like a stranger
Sophia was his girlfriend when he was still living at the outskirts of the city with his mom
On the day he was brought to Shen’s Mansion,he made a promise to Sophia that he will come back to find her but he never did
“I just hope you will be able to forgive me” he muttered sadly

“Welcome to my abode sister” Camilla, Zoey’s younger sister welcomed Zoey and Ruby together with Grandma Xi as a man led them in
“Camilla” Zoey hugged her younger sister happily
“How have you been Sister Zoey? Camilla asked with a big smile
” Just so so…” Zoey muttered with a sad sigh
“Don’t give me that look sister,I know you are not happy with how things had turn but don’t worry,as long as am still with you, I’ll never allow you and Ruby to suffer” Camilla cajoled her
“Thank you” Zoey smile gratefully at her sister
“It’s nothing elder sister” Camilla replied before moving her eyes to Ruby who was still looking at everywhere in awe
“Ruby” she called lovingly
On hearing her aunt’s voice calling her, Ruby walk to her
“Aunt Camilla” she called with a smile
“My niece is now grown up and more beautiful than the last time I saw you” Camilla complimented and Ruby blush
” Thank you Aunt” she smiled shyly
“Enough of the pleasantries,where is my room? I need to rest” Grandma Xi who had been quiet finally spoke up
” Ok Mom, I’ll get the maids to show you all to your rooms”
” MAIDS!! Camilla shouted and Three maids ran to the living room immediately
” Ma’am” the maids bowed in respect
“Take their luggage and show them to their rooms” Camilla ordered
” Ok Ma’am”
” Follow us Ma’am’s,we will take you to your rooms” The maids chorused as they carry the luggages.
After they all left,the man who had brought them walk closer to Camilla
“Is she the one you are talking about? The man asked in his se..ductive deep voice
“Yes, what do you think? Will the old man be satisfy with her? Camilla replied
“He will, after all he loves young and fresh ladies” The man replied with a chuckled lowly and Camilla smiled
” Am sorry Zoey,I never wanted this but money is more important than my family” Zoey thought with small smile
