HEAD OVER HEELS : CHAPTER 61 – 70
♪♪Fiery Temptations: A battle for love♪♪
He chuckled, placing his forehead against hers. “I love you so much, little kitten,” he whispered, and Angel smiled softly. “I love you too, my lovely demon,” she whispered back, and they shared a tender smile.
Angel shifted, her gaze serious now. “Do you mind telling me what’s making you upset? I can tell you’re not happy,” she whispered gently. Leonardo sighed.
She had gotten to know him far too well, and around her, he couldn’t hide. Growing up, he never imagined giving himself to anyone, but fate had other plans. Staring at her now, he smiled, then let out a small laugh. Romano had really thought he could take Angel away from him, after everything she had put him through? No matter what happened, letting her go would never be an option. He would burn the world down for her if it meant holding her close. His craving, his longing for her, was endless. Everything she did drove him wild, to the point where he had to restrain himself.
He was already hard just from looking at her, struggling not to lose control. His demons whispered for him to take what belonged to him, but he didn’t want to scare her. She was so fragile beside him, giggling softly, unaware of the dangerous thoughts racing through his mind whenever she was near.
“Leonardo?” Angel’s voice pulled him from his thoughts, and he nodded, his intense gaze never leaving her. She swallowed nervously, her fingers twisting.
His gaze was overwhelming, and when he bit his lip seductively, she shivered. “I wanted to ask for your permission… to go to church. Just for tomorrow please?” she asked, her voice pleading.
Leonardo scoffed. “You know I can’t allow that, little kitten. Your uncle is still desperate to find you, remember?” he said firmly. Angel pouted, then turned her back to him.
“Fine. How about I go to the nearby church?” she suggested.
He sighed but agreed. “Fine.”
Her face lit up with a smile, and she threw her arms around him in a tight hug. He chuckled at her enthusiasm.
As they pulled apart, their eyes met, and the softness in his gaze lingered. “Can you let go of Maggie? She’s innocent. She’s just being used by her father. Maggie might not be perfect, but she didn’t do this.”
“Was she the one who called you a b*tch that night at your house?” Leonardo cut her off, his voice cold.
Angel gulped and nodded, her cheeks flushing. He scoffed. “I have a meeting at work. Get ready; we’re going together today,” he said, walking toward the bathroom, ending the conversation abruptly.
“You’re not a cute demon, you know!” Angel called after him, making him laugh.
HEAD OVER HEELS : CHAPTER 61 – 70
(LEO’S HIGH JEWELRY)
The Lamborghini Aventador SV roared to a stop in front of the towering building. Two guards rushed from the accompanying car, but Leonardo stopped one from opening the door for Angel. He wanted to do it himself.
He stepped out, majestic and commanding, and opened the door for Angel. She blushed as she stepped out, taking his offered hand. They walked into the building together, drawing the attention of everyone around them.
“Oh my goodness, they’re so cute together!”
“I always knew they were a couple. They’re perfect!”
Gossip and whispers filled the hallway, making Angel’s cheeks flush as she held onto Leonardo’s hand. He smiled at her before they stepped into the elevator.
“What do I have this morning?” Leonardo asked as the elevator began its ascent.
“You have a meeting with Sabrina, the famous actress. She’s taking over her family’s business and wants to collaborate with us first,” Angel informed him, checking her notes.
Leonardo nodded, taking out a cigarette and attempting to light it. Angel quickly snatched it away and slipped it into her bag. “Seriously, Leonardo! We’ve talked about this a hundred times,” she scolded.
He rolled his eyes. Angel rummaged through his pockets, grabbing the entire packet of cigarettes. As she did, her hand brushed against his crotch, and she froze. Leonardo smirked, amused by her reaction.
She quickly glanced at the security camera, trying to act nonchalant. “Don’t worry, little kitten. That clip will be mine only. Just continue,” Leonardo whispered huskily in her ear, making her slap his chest playfully. They both laughed.
When the elevator stopped, they stepped out to see Darly chatting with a girl. Sensing their presence, Darly turned and grinned. “Hey, baby girl!” he greeted, hugging Angel warmly.
Leonardo huffed, immediately pulling her away. “Have you forgotten I’m standing right here?” he muttered darkly. Angel rolled her eyes, used to his possessiveness.
No matter how much Leonardo tried, he couldn’t help his jealousy. He knew Darly was her childhood friend, but it irritated him whenever someone touched what was his.
They walked into Leonardo’s office, and as soon as the door closed behind them, he groaned, searching his pockets for his cigarettes only to remember Angel had taken them. She smirked, watching him with amusement.
“You have a lot to do today,” Angel reminded him, dropping a stack of files on his desk. Leonardo sighed, pulling her onto his lap. He rested his head on her shoulder, inhaling her sweet scent.
Angel smiled, running her fingers through his hair. His hand slid under her skirt, but she slapped it away, making him chuckle. “Seriously?” she asked, amused.
“You know this isn’t fair. Why are you starving me like this?” he teased, and they both laughed.
Angel might think he was joking, but he wasn’t. The craving for her was overwhelming. Ever since he met her, he hadn’t touched another woman. Not that he didn’t want to, but every time he tried, all he could think about was her.
In his mind and heart, Angel was his little kitten, his girl, his everything. It was his duty to keep her safe, happy, and his forever.
His gaze lingered on her, filled with adoration. Angel turned to meet his eyes, and they shared a tender smile.
He leaned in, his gaze dropping to her soft, pink lips. Unable to resist any longer, he kissed her. Angel moaned against his lips, wrapping her arms around his neck. Just then, the phone rang loudly, breaking the moment.
Angel tried to pull away, but Leonardo wouldn’t let her. He groaned into the kiss as he answered the call. “Good morning, sir. Miss Sabrina is here. Just wanted to inform you,” the receptionist said.
“Fine,” Leonardo replied, ending the call. Angel laughed and pulled away, standing up. “I’ll invite her in,” she said, heading for the door.
As Angel turned to leave the office, Leonardo’s hand shot out, playfully smacking her ass before pulling her back to him. The unexpected move made her gasp, and she giggled, her eyes sparkling with amusement. “What are you doing?” she muttered, trying to suppress her laughter.
Leonardo bit his lip, staring at her with a lustful gleam in his eyes. “She’s not here yet. Let’s have some fun,” he whispered, his voice low and teasing as he leaned in, capturing her lips in a soft kiss.
Angel blushed deeply, her heart racing at the intensity of his touch. His lips moved against hers slowly, possessively, as though he was savoring every second of the moment. She melted into his embrace, her hands finding their way to his broad chest. For a moment, the world outside the office disappeared, and it was just the two of them, lost in each other.
But just as the kiss began to deepen, a knock interrupted them. Angel tensed, pulling away, but Leonardo tightened his grip on her waist, keeping her close. She shot him a warning glance, silently begging him to let go.
The door swung open, and Angel quickly disentangled herself from Leonardo’s arms, stepping away just in time to avoid being caught too intimately. Her heart skipped a beat as she looked up to see several people standing at the entrance, their eyes wide with surprise.
Her face flushed with embarrassment, and she immediately tried to hide her expression, but it was too late. The startled gasps and raised eyebrows from the group made it clear they had seen more than they should have.
“Mr. Leonardo,” a tall, elegant woman said, stepping forward with her hand extended for a handshake. Her smile was polite, but there was an air of smugness about her that made Angel’s skin prickle.
Leonardo gave the woman a nod before taking her hand. His grip was firm, but when he tried to pull away, the woman held on a second too long. Angel’s frown deepened, her eyes narrowing slightly as she watched the interaction. She couldn’t quite place it, but something about the woman’s demeanor rubbed her the wrong way.
“Hmm, let’s start the meeting immediately,” Darly, one of Leonardo’s business partners, cut in, clearly sensing the tension in the air. He gestured for everyone to take a seat.
As they moved to the conference table, Sabrina—the actress with whom they were supposed to be collaborating—attempted to sit next to Leonardo. But before she could take the seat, Angel slid in beside him, her movements quick and deliberate. Sabrina’s eyes flashed with anger as she was forced to sit across from them, her expression tightening into a scowl.
The representative from Brina Cool Jewelry, a rival company, stood up and moved to the front of the room. His expression was calm, professional, as he began his presentation.
“Welcome to Brina Cool Jewelry, where elegance meets sophistication,” he began, his voice smooth and practiced. “We are thrilled to present our latest collection, inspired by the beauty of nature.”
He clicked a remote, and images of sparkling diamonds and intricate designs appeared on the screen behind him. “Our diamonds are carefully selected for their exceptional quality. Each stone undergoes a rigorous process to ensure its authenticity and brilliance.”
Angel leaned back in her chair, half-listening to the presentation while stealing glances at Leonardo. He was focused, but she could feel the tension radiating off him. His hand was resting on his knee, but every now and then, his fingers would twitch, as if resisting the urge to touch her.
His little kitten was making him go insane.
“I’d like to highlight our commitment to sustainability,” the representative continued, pausing briefly for effect. “We source our materials responsibly, ensuring minimal environmental impact.”
Angel glanced across the table at Sabrina, who was glaring daggers at her. The tension between them was palpable, and Angel could feel her blood pressure rising. She clenched her fists under the table, determined not to let Sabrina get to her.
“By choosing Brina Cool Jewelry, you’re supporting local artisans and ensuring fair labor practices,” the representative concluded, gesturing to the screen. “We wish to establish a partnership with Leo High Jewelry. Your designs are among the best in the industry, and we are willing to offer fifty percent of our profit if you agree to our terms.”
The room broke into applause, and Angel turned to Leonardo, who was nodding thoughtfully.
“Hmm, interesting,” he said, his voice calm and measured. “We’ll give this a try. Little kitten, prepare the documents to be signed.” He spoke to Angel without hesitation, his endearing nickname slipping out before he could stop himself.
There was a collective murmur around the room as everyone exchanged glances, realizing what he had just called her. Angel froze, her eyes widening in shock as the weight of his words sank in. She could feel every gaze on her, and she nervously shifted in her seat.
Sabrina scoffed loudly, breaking the silence. “Little kitten?” she mocked, her voice dripping with disdain. Her eyes darted between Leonardo and Angel, filled with a mixture of disbelief and jealousy.
Leonardo, however, seemed entirely unfazed. “I see no reason to explain what I call her,” he said casually, leaning back in his chair. “Besides, she’s my fiancée. I’m sure you’ve all heard by now.”
The room fell silent, stunned by the revelation. Angel’s eyes widened even further, and she pinched Leonardo’s hand under the table, her cheeks burning with embarrassment. But he ignored her, his expression calm and composed. In his mind, it was time for everyone to know. She was his. His alone. And he was going to make sure the world understood that.
“I can’t believe this!” Sabrina snapped, her voice rising with fury. “Is this really necessary? Aren’t you ashamed to be announcing this… trash as your girlfriend?”
Her outburst sent a wave of shock through the room. A woman sitting next to her attempted to hush her, but Sabrina was far too angry to listen. “Do you think I came here for a deal with you? No, sweetheart. Let’s have some fun together. I like you, Leonardo. We could be great together.”
Angel stiffened, her temper flaring as Sabrina smiled with an unsettling mix of confidence and malice.
Leonardo’s face darkened, his jaw clenching. “Don’t you ever talk about her like that” he said coldly, sending a shiver down Sabrina spin. “Get that into your brain. If you came here for anything other than business, this deal is over.”
“That’s enough” Angel whispered and he just huffed.
The whole company was now staring at the drama and there were alot of cameras flashing around, almost like someone has informed them.
Leonardo’s hand tightened around hers, sensing her frustration. He was ready to destroy this deal if it meant protecting her, but Angel shook her head slightly, urging him to calm down. She didn’t want him to lose something important because of her, even though she knew he wouldn’t hesitate to do so.
Sabrina’s voice grew louder, more desperate. “You can’t do this, Leo! Do you know how many men would die to be with me? And yet I chose you!” She bursted into a fake tears.
Leonardo scoffed. “Excuse you! I just meet you” Leonardo half yelled.
Everyone in the room stared at her with a mix of disbelief and exhaustion. It was no secret that Sabrina was a dramatic actress, both on and off set, but her behavior today was crossing a line, and funny as well.
Angel stood up, her expression deadpan. “Do you really think you’re sexier than me? I’ve got the curves, I’ve got the brains, and that’s why he’s crazy about me.”
The room erupted in laughter, even Leonardo chuckling at her boldness. But Sabrina’s face twisted in rage, her voice dropping to a screech. “How dare you!”
Angel calmly walked out of the room, and everyone turned to follow her, expecting her next move. Moments later, she returned holding a Bible. She raised it in the air, her expression deadly serious. “I command you, daughter of Jezebel, to take your eyes away from my man”
The room burst into laughter again, cameras flashing as the spectacle unfolded. Sabrina huffed angrily, stomping her foot before storming out, her entourage trailing behind her.
Once the chaos subsided, Leonardo sat down, trying to pull Angel back into his arms. But she turned her back to him, pouting.
Why are you…. “What do you mean why am I angry with you? Firstly you didn’t pull your hands away when she shakes you, almost like you enjoy having her soft hands on yours and you didn’t say a damn word when she called me a bitch” Angel hissed.
Leonardo scoffed as he stood up from the chair and walked behind her.
“When I tried to say something. What did you do?” He asked darkly, and angel slowly turned to look at him. “Well! I know you always do things violently so I just decided to shut you up but you should have say something” she hissed and Leonardo chuckled.
“You know you are a crazy little kitten” Leonardo said, and she smiled. “Well I cannot allow some actress take my lovely demon away from me” She said, and they both laughed.
