Leonardo stormed out of the mansion, his mind consumed with a single name: Lorenzo.
It echoed in his head like a twisted mantra, fueling the rage that burned deep inside him. How could he? Lorenzo knew exactly who Leonardo was, what he was capable of, and yet he still had the audacity to try to take what belonged to him. His treasure. His Angel.
His fingers tightened around the cold steel of the gun strapped in his pocket. The weight was comforting, a reminder of the power he held, of what he could do if pushed too far. The thought of pulling the trigger, watching Lorenzo’s smug face crumble, sent a dark thrill through him. The gun was ready, locked, and loaded, and so was Leonardo.
As he walked, his eyes glinted with a deadly determination. There would be no mercy.
He yanked his phone from his pocket and dialed a number. It was answered before the first ring finished. “Hello, boss?” came Matteo’s voice, cautious but attentive.
Leonardo didn’t waste time on pleasantries. His voice was low and menacing, a quiet storm ready to erupt.
“I want eyes on Lorenzo. And Angel, too,” he ordered, his tone leaving no room for discussion. “Don’t let that bastard get anywhere near her. I’m on my way.”
Without waiting for a response, he hung up, his grip tightening on the phone until his knuckles turned white. His mind raced with thoughts of blood—Lorenzo’s blood. It was a foregone conclusion. The man had crossed a line that could never be forgiven. No one touched what was his and lived to tell the tale.
As the mansion disappeared behind him, Leonardo’s fury simmered just beneath the surface, threatening to boil over. Lorenzo had made his choice, he thought bitterly. Now it was time to face the consequences.

Lycoon Care Hospital – Lorenzo’s Hideout
Lorenzo paced frantically in the bathroom, phone pressed to his ear, his heart racing. On the other end of the line, the voice of the woman was sharp and cutting, dripping with venom.
“I expected more from you, Lorenzo,” she hissed. “Just one simple task, and you failed. Miserably.”
He clenched his jaw, the frustration boiling inside him. “I tried my best, alright? I just need more time to get close enough to finish her off. It’s not as simple as you think!”
Her laugh was cold, a twisted, mocking sound that sent chills down his spine. “Oh, I know exactly how complicated things are going to get—for you.” Her voice darkened, thick with malice. “How do you think Leonardo will react when he finds out you’ve betrayed him, hmm? You know what he’s capable of. He’ll tear you apart without a second thought.”
Lorenzo swallowed hard, his throat dry. The thought of Leonardo finding out sent a wave of terror through him. He could already imagine the cold, unrelenting fury in Leonardo’s eyes. His heart pounded against his ribcage, threatening to burst.
“Finish her,” the woman commanded again, this time more forcefully. “Or I’ll finish you myself. And trust me, I’ll take great pleasure in it. Maybe I’ll start by cutting off that pathetic d*** of yours that you think is so precious.” She laughed cruelly, her words dripping with sadistic delight.
Lorenzo gripped the phone tighter, his hand trembling. He had to get out of here—far away from both Leonardo and this deranged woman. He could feel the walls closing in on him, the noose tightening. He needed to escape. Now.
Taking a deep breath, he shoved the phone into his pocket and made his way out of the bathroom. But as soon as he opened the door, his blood ran cold. Standing right there, leaning casually against the wall, was Matteo. His dark eyes were fixed on Lorenzo, filled with a mixture of amusement and something far more dangerous.
Lorenzo’s heart skipped a beat, his skin crawling with fear. He had no idea how much Matteo had overheard.
For a moment, they stood there in silence, tension thick in the air. Then, unexpectedly, Matteo chuckled.
It wasn’t a friendly laugh. It was the kind of laugh that promised pain.

HEAD OVER HEELS : CHAPTER 81 – 90
Angel’s eyelids fluttered open, and for a moment, the world around her was a blur of white walls and sterile lights. A steady beeping sound filled her ears as her chest rose and fell in shallow, strained breaths. Slowly, her surroundings sharpened, and the unfamiliar scent of antiseptic stung her nostrils. She frowned, her mind sluggishly piecing together where she was.
She tried to sit up, but a sharp tug at her nostrils reminded her that she was connected to an oxygen mask. Panic began to seep into her thoughts as memories of what happened surged back—flashes of chaos, a gunshot, and then nothing. Fear wrapped itself around her like a cold, suffocating blanket.
“Oh my goodness, she’s awake!” A familiar voice broke through her thoughts. She turned her head slowly to see Serena standing at her bedside, her face lit up with relief. “I’ll go get the doctor!” Serena said before rushing out of the room.
Angel groaned softly, her muscles weak as she attempted to sit up. Serena returned, rushing to her side to stop her. “Take it easy, Angel. You’ve been through a lot.”
Angel’s eyes scanned the room, her heart racing as she searched for the one person she expected to see. When her gaze failed to find him, she frowned.
“Where is Leonardo?” she asked, her voice hoarse but sharp with concern.
Serena’s expression darkened, and she let out a frustrated sigh, her grip on Angel’s hand tightening as if trying to anchor her to the present. “Angel… you don’t need him anymore,” Serena began, her voice tinged with a mix of sadness and frustration. “You’re in danger because of him. I don’t want to see you hurt like this again. Let him go.”
Angel’s frown deepened as her eyes narrowed, filling with a fire that had been absent moments ago. “It wasn’t his fault, Serena,” she snapped, her voice rising despite the strain on her throat. “Leonardo wii protect me no matter what This was a careless accident.”
Serena’s lips pressed into a thin line as she glared at Angel. “Are you seriously defending him right now? This is unbelievable, Angel!” she half-yelled, her face flushed with anger.
Angel ripped the oxygen mask from her face, ignoring the alarm that beeped loudly from the machine beside her. She sat up fully now, her red-rimmed eyes blazing with determination. “No, what’s ridiculous is you standing here and blaming him! You know damn well Leonardo would do anything to protect me. This wasn’t his fault, and you don’t get to tell me who I should or shouldn’t have in my life!”
Her voice echoed through the sterile hospital room, heavy with emotion and defiance. Serena stared at her, speechless for a moment, before shaking her head in frustration.
Serena sighed and took her hand gently a slip of tears flower down her eyes. “Do you know what I have to go through when the doctor told me you had 50 chance of surviving and that was just a mere knife. What if it was a gun… What if?
“I understand you sister… Angel cut her off. “But it was not his fault. I know how much he must be feeling guilty right now but none of this is his fault” Angel said softly, her eyes igniting the truth.
She believed him with all of of her, she trust him deeply and nothing was ever going to kill it.
“But it was all because of him that everything concerning danger is all around you” Serena said, trying to conviced the latter but she seemed she already made up her mind.
Serena watched Angel intently, her eyes soft with understanding. “I know you want to run, Angel. You’ve always wanted to, especially after everything you’ve seen. Leonardo’s been ruthless, full of sin and deception, but there’s so much more behind that. He’s been through hell—betrayed, hurt in ways you can’t imagine.”
Serena’s words hung in the air, and Angel’s heart raced as her emotions flooded through her. Could she really leave now, when she knew what lay beneath Leonardo’s hardened exterior? Could she turn her back on him when she was starting to see the broken pieces he tried to hide from the world?
The room felt smaller, more intimate, as Angel wrestled with her thoughts. She wanted to run—God, she wanted to, because being close to Leonardo meant letting herself be vulnerable. But Serena was right. The depth of what she felt for him was undeniable, a gravity pulling her toward him no matter how hard she tried to resist.
“Nicky once told me that he carries more anger more than a thousand armies could carry and the only time she ever saw peace in his eyes was when he looked at me because I am able to calm his chaos”
“I won’t let him go, Serena,” Angel replied quietly, her voice filled with conviction. “He needs me, even if he won’t say it. And I… I need him too. I’m already too deep in this, and walking away isn’t even an option anymore.” A soft smile tugged at Serena’s lips as she leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to Angel’s forehead.
“You’ve grown so much, princess,” Serena whispered, her tone filled with pride.
Angel chuckled softly, feeling warmth flood her chest. There was something reassuring in Serena’s presence, something that made Angel feel stronger, more certain about the choices she was making. For so long, she had been unsure—about everything. But now, things were becoming clearer. She loved Leonardo. And that love, complicated as it was, felt worth fighting for.
Just then, the door opened, and in walked Nicky, followed by the doctor. The atmosphere shifted slightly, breaking the quiet intensity of the moment.
“Miss Angel,” the doctor scolded, shaking his head in disapproval, “you’re supposed to be resting, and yet you’re sitting here without your oxygen. If you don’t want your boyfriend to burn down my hospital, you’d better follow orders!”
Angel blinked in confusion, looking at Serena for answers. “Leonardo threatened to burn this place down if you didn’t wake up,” Serena explained with a smirk, watching as Angel’s cheeks flushed pink.
A blush crept over Angel’s face. The thought of Leonardo, the fearsome mafia boss, pacing the hospital corridors in a panic made her smile. She could almost picture him, storming through the sterile hallways, demanding answers from the doctors, his sharp features twisted in anger and concern. The image was both terrifying and endearing.
“I’ll rest,” Angel murmured softly, laying back down on the bed. But even as she settled under the sheets, her mind was far from quiet. Thoughts of Leonardo consumed her, each one more intense than the last. She couldn’t help but wonder what he was doing, what he was thinking.
Was he out there, pacing the balcony with a cigarette in his hand, his mind racing with all the things he couldn’t say out loud?

HEAD OVER HEELS : CHAPTER 81 – 90
Hours later, Angel woke to find the room bathed in the soft glow of the late afternoon sun. She stretched, yawning lightly before noticing the familiar figure standing on the balcony. Leonardo had his back to her, a cigarette held loosely between his fingers as he stared out over the city, lost in thought.
The sight of him, silhouetted against the fading light, sent a shiver down her spine. There was something about Leonardo in moments like this—so quiet, so intense—that made her heart ache. He carried so much weight on his shoulders, so much pain that he refused to share with anyone. But Angel had seen glimpses of it, and now that she had, she couldn’t turn away.
“Leo,” she called softly.
His reaction was instant. He flicked the cigarette away, almost as if it burned him, turning to face her with an apologetic smile. She chuckled at his guilty expression. He strode toward her, his dark eyes filled with that familiar intensity, and sat beside her on the bed.
“I missed you,” he murmured, his voice low and thick with emotion.
Angel’s heart fluttered at the vulnerability in his tone, but she pouted, folding her arms across her chest. “I woke up expecting you to be here,” she huffed. “But instead, you’re out there smoking.”
Leonardo’s smile widened, amused by her cute pout. He reached out, brushing a strand of hair away from her face, his fingers lingering for just a moment longer than necessary. The warmth of his touch sent a jolt of electricity through her, making her breath hitch.
“I’m sorry, little kitten. You’re right. I should’ve been here.”
Angel’s face softened, and without a second thought, she climbed onto his lap, straddling his thighs. Leonardo’s eyes widened in surprise, and he instinctively gripped the edge of the bed, trying to keep control. But as soon as she pressed herself against him, he felt his restraint slipping. His body reacted instantly, and he cursed himself for how much power she had over him.
Angel giggled, kissing his cheek lightly. “You were really going to let me go, weren’t you?” she teased, her breath warm against his skin.
Leonardo’s expression darkened, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. His hands found her waist, pulling her closer until their faces were inches apart, their breaths mingling. “Who told you that?” he whispered, his lips brushing hers in a way that made her shiver.
Her heart raced as his fingers trailed along the waistband of her pants, teasingly slow, his touch sending waves of heat through her. She could feel the tension crackling between them, every inch of her body attuned to his presence. It was intoxicating, the way he made her feel—like she was the only thing in the world that mattered.
“I… I know you weren’t going to,” she stammered, her voice barely above a whisper.
“That’s right, kitten,” he growled softly. “I’m never letting you go. You’re mine.”
His words sent a thrill through her, but there was something more—a weight in his eyes, a guilt he tried to hide. Angel reached up, cupping his face in her hands. “Leo, you don’t have to hide from me. Whatever’s eating at you… I want to help. Tell me the truth. Trust me.”
Leonardo’s gaze flickered to the bandage on her side, his jaw tightening. He could still see the bloodstains in his memory, still hear the sounds of her gasps as she collapsed in his arms. That moment had haunted him every second since it happened. “Not now, Angel,” he said, his voice strained. “You’re still healing. Let’s talk about this another time.”
Angel pouted again, but before she could protest, she remembered her dream. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as she stared at him. “Wait… I had a dream about Sabrina. She was here, wasn’t she? Are you cheating on me?”
Leonardo burst into laughter, unable to contain it. “Sabrina? Cheating on you?” he chuckled, wiping his eyes. “You really are something else, kitten.”
Angel’s face turned red with embarrassment, but she wasn’t backing down. “My dreams always come true!” she yelled, grabbing him by the collar. “You can’t laugh at me like that!”
Before she could blink, Leonardo flipped her onto her back, pinning her beneath him. His weight pressed down on her in a way that made her pulse quicken, the warmth of his body enveloping her. “You’re impossible,” he muttered, his voice husky as he hovered above her, their faces close enough to share a breath. “But you’re also mine. Don’t ever forget that.”
Angel stared up at him, her heart pounding in her chest. She opened her mouth to retort, but the sound of the door creaking open made them both freeze.
“Oh my God,” a young nurse gasped, her eyes wide with shock. “I just turned eighteen last month…”
The group of hospital staff standing in the doorway erupted into laughter, and Angel buried her face in Leonardo’s chest, mortified. He chuckled, his hand sliding protectively around her waist.
“You two are quite the couple,” the doctor remarked, shaking his head in amusement. “But I’m more concerned about Miss Angel’s condition. Are you sure you’re not in too much pain for… whatever this is?”
“She’s fine,” Leonardo replied smoothly, though his eyes sparkled with mischief. “A little love never hurt anyone.”
Just as things started to settle, a familiar voice cut through the laughter. “Well, isn’t this a sight.”
Angel’s head snapped up, her eyes narrowing as she spotted Sabrina standing beside Serena.
“You!” Angel shouted, standing and marching over to her. “You tried to steal my man!”
Sabrina looked bewildered, holding up her hands defensively. “What are you talking about?”
Leonardo groaned, standing up and pulling Angel back into his arms. “Kitten, you’re being ridiculous.”
“Ridiculous? I dreamed about it,and my dreams always come true!” she yelled, still glaring at Sabrina.
“You’re completely insane,” Sabrina muttered, trying to fix her hair.
Leonardo sighed, his lips brushing against Angel’s ear. “You’re trouble, little kitten,” he whispered, giving her a light smack on her bottom.
Angel gasped, her face flushing with embarrassment as the room filled with laughter. She huffed, crossing her arms, but secretly she didn’t mind. Not when she was in his arms.
This was their world—a chaotic, messy love filled with passion and fire. And she wouldn’t trade it for anything, but yet she knew this was absolutely dangerously.
There are still people out there trying to take her to bring him down. A man weakness is his downfall and clearly she was Leonardo Giovanni downfall.
The way he look at her shows how important she was in his life and that’s what people are waiting For..for him to have a weakness, but a man weakness can also be his strength….
