CHAPTER 98
“I am going to help out too. I became a cop student because I want to catch criminals, my dad is not exceptional” Brett said.
“What about you, Nora?” Ariella asked, and their eyes fell on her.
“I need some breathing space” She said and ran out of the house.
She stopped running when she was a little far from the house. She fell to the ground and broke into tears.
“Dad!” She said, crying hurtfully.
Her mom died after she was brought to this world, and not once did Dawn make her feel like she don’t have a mom.
He didn’t remarry because his spend all his time, looking after her.
So it was hard for Nora to just turn her back against her Dad. Her dad was her mom, and her very first best friend.
“Why did you have to become a criminal dad! Why!!Why!!!” She shouted, crying.
“Don’t cry too much Nora, you aren’t tolerant to it” Jasper said, sitting beside her.
Nora looked at him with watery eyes, and Jasper slowly began to clean her tears with his thumb.
“It’s just so hard for me to arrest my own father. He is the only one I have in this world. If he is sentence to jail, I will be alone”
“Are you just going to turn a blind eye to everything he has done, just because you don’t want to be alone.
Innocent lives are being taken every day just so they can be rich.
You’re enjoying the wealth coming out from illegal means, which is clearly not accepted for a cop student”.
“I know that, and that’s why I am crying because I can’t let my dad off the hook.
The old me, would have care less about other people, but I am already a change person. I am now someone who wants justice to prevail.
Now I understand why my dad taught me to care less about others, it’s because he is involved in a business that involves klling” Nora said, crying.
“Stop crying Nora, you are going to get sick” Jasper said, hugging her.
Nora was about hugging him back, but after reminiscing about what Jasper said to her, she pushed away, and Jasper gave her a look of WHY.
“We aren’t in talking terms, so I don’t need your consolation. I can handle this myself” She said, going back to the house.
“Did my words her so much, for her to be mad at me still now?” He muttered and sighed.

Ariella sat alone inside the room, she didn’t want to talk to both Ariel and Aria because she was still mad at them for not making an attempt to find the illegal organization.
She was hurting from it, because she loves her sisters so much, but she had to show them she’s angry at them.
Brett stood at the door, watching her. The door was slightly opened, so he could see her from where he was standing.
She is busy sketching more drawing of his father and that of Nora and Jessica’s parent.
She was so different from the sweet, smiling girl he met on his first day at MCC, and as such, he didn’t know how to approach her.
He sighed and decided to leave, but Ariella’s voice stopped him from leaving. “Do you have something to say to me?”
Brett looked behind him, and sees Ariella standing at the door. “If you have something to say to me, come in then” Ariella said and went back to the room. She sat on the bed, and continues sketching.
Brett just stayed calm, looking around the room. He has a lot of things to say to her, but he doesn’t know how to start.
“You can say whatever you have in mind, I am listening” She said, without looking at him, because she was busy sketching.
Brett cleared his throat and asked. ” You… You haven’t forgotten about me, right?”
Ariella paused on her sketch after he said that, but she continues sketching. ” Why did you ask?”
“Because it seemed you have forgotten about me” He said in a low voice.
