CHAPTER 159

Melanie cleaned her hands with a napkin and disposed it into the waste bin. Her eyes went to her reflection in the mirror and she straightened herself.

Reflexively, her hand went to the necklace on her neck which was still shining as ever. The symbol of her undying love with Axel.

“I miss you,” she whispered, smiling slightly. It’s a miracle to her that she survived the whole three years without him. But, communication did it all.

They already have the time when they do talk on phones and it really does take a lot of time.

Her hand went into her jacket and brought out her phone. She checked the time and a low gasp escaped her lips.

It’s just 30 minutes left before the time Axel would call her.

“I should leave,” she mumbled. She inserted her phone into her jacket and smoothened her hair.

She came out of the bathroom and to her surprise, she met a guy waiting not far away from her.

Not wanting to conclude that he was there for her, she walked past him, maintaining a level gaze on her face.

“Hey beauty, can I have a word with you?” The guy stopped her.

Melanie ignored him totally and kept walking not until she felt his hand on hers.

“Let’s talk please,” he pleaded.

Melanie sighed before removing her hands from his. This was exactly what she had been facing for three years.

Men wouldn’t stop disturbing her, asking her to be their woman. But she declined them all, not when there’s only one man who’ll forever be in her heart. Her one and only man… Axel Braun.

“What do you want?” She finally asked, stylishly removing her hand from the guy’s.

“I’ve been watching you since you sat with your friends earlier. Your beauty captivated me and I seriously wish you’ll be my woman”

Melanie cackled at his straightforwardness.

“But, I think we’ll have to start slowly. Can I have your number please?” He asked.

Before Melanie could reply to him, another person did.

“She’s engaged,” Melanie smiled when she recognized that voice to be Ace’s.

“What are you saying dude? She’s married!” Aaron snapped.

The guys started walking towards them with Lauren and Paisley beside them.

“Why are you bugging a married woman? Do you want to die?” Aiden snarled at the guy.

“Even if you’re blind not to notice she’s married, are you blind to notice she’s pregnant also?” Aaron smirked

“With a baby boy I think, right?” He faced Ace.

“No, a baby girl,” Ace replied, trying his best not to laugh.

“You get that, so buzz off. Or her man will forever haunt you down,” Aaron warned, glaring at the guy hatefully.

“Hey, calm down dude” the guy chucked and left instantly.

“Seriously, do you really have to do that?” Melanie rolled her eyes.

“Pregnant?” She scoffed.

“Yeah. I wouldn’t want any motherfker toying with my friend’s woman,” Aaron replied.

“You’re just too much,” Melanie giggled.

“I need to get going, I have just a few minutes left,” she said.

The guys understood immediately.

“Okay. See ya’ later”
